Ask and ye shall recieve!!
Ducky, you know how you get a pic in your head of what someone will look like? Well after looking at your pics I just wanted to let you know it was nothing like I pictured. You are much cuter, funnier, sexier, taller, thinner, younger, etc... You leave the rest of us in the dust!!! No wonder the pilot hangs out with you
-
thanks4
Now how u do dat?
-
When you go to the place you want you can copy what's in the address bar and then bring it back here and paste it. But they you have to hit the space bar after it and then the return button once to make it an actual link.
At least that's how I got it to work. I copied and pasted it into the address bar from the other thread to get there originally.
-
Just logged on to say goodnight to everyone. I'm going to bed early - can't keep my eyes open. Hope you all have a great evening!!
-
G'nite Slow!
-
cute pics girls! Looks like fun!
-
Red - Big congrats on finishing rads. Now let the healing begin.
Linda - Big hugs to you girlfriend. You have been through so much. What an inspiration you are.
Had my mammo today - another thing to check off the list for another year. There is a new radiologist at the imaging center I've gone to for many years. He is adding addition views for women who have had lumpectomies. These are done with different "paddles" on the machine and will focus on the lump area. It will better help see if there is a recurrance, cysts, etc. He is also recommending an ultrasound along with the mammo. Hey! I like this guy. I don't mind the additional tests if it means better peace of mind for me.
-
dang, slo! it's so early! sweet dreams!
wait, how many of you went and met up? anyway, you all looked very fine & happy, i am so glad for you all to be able to do that. wait who IS that, with the ciggie? (just asking, i happen to have that bad habit myself, too)
-
Hi, I see you fixed the link ... I did post a different one on another thread but by now the entire world has seen these pix...
kathec - that bad to the bone chic is Firekracker (Karol)...don't worry, I did not let her smoke in my car....she was just posing but got herself a lot of attention. There were two meet-ups - morning in Manhattan with FireKracker (PA), Joan (Long Island NY) and Annette (TX)...then afternon FireKracker & Joan (me) drove to Philadelphia suburbs to meet Ducky and Blondie (Sandy). We stayed as long as we could but then drove 2.5 more hours back to northeastern PA to stay at Karol's. So, total five of us....500 miles round trip for me in 2 days. It was fun....
Karol, thanks for your kind words....I even enjoyed driving home today...such a pretty drive over the hills of PA and NY....did you finally open the link? I posted a "live" one on the other thread...I miss you...Ducky, miss you too...
Jo, I really like the approach to mammos you described. I am 2.5 years out with lumpectomy and have confusion over scar tissue and lumpiness...I think it's a good idea to take a closer look and the echo sounds good too. It sounds like you passed....am hoping uneventful for you.I have missed 9 pages ... I will read back somehow. I love the spirit of this thread...and can't thank Jo enough for starting it!
What do I want to throw into the fire today? Cancer...all kinds....and the physical, emotional, and financial devastation it can bring to so many we know and love. -
thanks, joan! yeah, id do talk to karol, don't you love her voice? i do!! but the lady i was thinking of had dark hair, i think it was the 1st or 2nd pic on shutterfly, thanks for sharing pics. fire is always saying i should visit with you, know her here and there, and on veggy thread. looks like a very good time!
-
that is me KatheC...i am a smoker and one day, perhaps, I can quit. I did last year for 6 weeks and my blood pressure shot through the roof (like anything, our bodies resist change) then I freaked out and lit one up when my nerves frayed. I am not a drinker, so that was not an option. I will do it again one of these days.
-
Annette.......were your ears ringing after Joan and Kracker left.....we talked about what a nice person your are, and they showed me your picture.......so nice..........after they talked I do remember having some postings with you back when.......so glad to talk to you once more......It was a blast, love those ladies........
-
AND WE WILL DO IT AGAIN
-
Good Morning Sunshine..........how are you...........and Oh YES WE WILL...................
-
We will do it again and Ducky, thanks for kind words. I am NOT NICE I AM MEAN:) And damn, I gotta lose those bags under my eyes...totally exhausted. We were so funny we were so critical of the pics but you know what, our desire to capture the day over rode that!
-
did I just read that Annette wrote she is MEAN
Wait till I get u next time
Ask JOJO exactly how mean she is?
Wait till she sees this
Annette is the most loving, down to earth person u want to meet.
GIRLFRIEND----I love you..
