I need to work on how to size photos here! The one above is from yesterday morning near where I live. The leaves aren't changing yet but the shadows are long and the colours are crisp. Love your photos Blue. If I just drive a little bit north --- not yet!
-
Lassie, we were north of Sudbury. Where Ray comes from. Eight hour drive and it was 5 degrees C and cold. I was not dressed for the weather. Just threw that top into the suitcase.
E that car has all the bells and whistles and a lot of power but wouldn't have been my first choice. It's a bitch to get out of. Men don't look at these practical things. hehehehehehe!

Good Morning Everybody!
It's chilly here this morning. I have on a flannel shirt. Yikes! Feels like fall to me.
My butt hurts this a.m and my arm is sore. I'm a clutz, but Tim loved those damn shoes!
Lassie .. love the picture. Can't believe how fast the time has gone by since we were there.
Rosemary ... have fun today with Miss Daisy. I'm so jealous .. there is nothing like the smell of a newborn baby.
Hope everyone has a great Friday!

Ah - that explains it! My friend who lives farther north than Sudbury is talking of morning frost and such things. Down here in the south, we can wait.
I get it about the car. Mine is not very lovely at all; it's a crossover (not quite an SUV) with just four cylinders and ever so easy to enter and exit. I tell myself it doesn't use much more gas than my previous little sedan and that's almost true. Mostly, it doesn't aggravate my aches and pains - a trick my father taught me.
-
Blue - love the pictures, what a beautiful place.
-
Maybe it's just me but there is something just wrong about 23 degrees F on September 15.
-
Gorgeous photo, Lassie! We had some frost here this morning, down in the swamps of the mid-Atlantic.
Blue - it's almost impossible for me to de-car gracefully. I sort of tip out and let gravity take its course. Then I pretend to look for something I've lost under the car, so it looks like I did it on purpose. I keep hoping Franz will grow just a little bit taller.
-
I have to remember that one! hahahahahaha!
-
Barbara, terribly wrong!
-
Hi Girls!!
Love the photos - the trees are turning here in the UK too. We are back in London after a 3 hour train ride and a long taxi ride. The hotel is about 10 mins walk to our where our son lives - free wifi - breakfast included - close to the shops etc - got it on laterooms cheap. The train was fun ,we did have a first class carriage with reserved seats and a table - leather seats - tea/coffee on offer most of the trip, free cookies - loved it.
Can't wait to see our son and the grandson again. He is bringing the baby for a walk to get us after he gets home from work.
DH been nagging me about my addictions - gives me the shits. I am going to try and switch to caffiene free diet coke when we get home, but I won't guarrantee I'll stop smoking. He drinks coffee and tea, why can't I drink diet pepsi. I was dreading spending 6 weeks at such close quarters with him. He doesn't see me smoke at home. I've been pretty good and cut down SO much with the aid of patches, but I can see me picking up the rate again when we get home.
We leave for home late Monday night - can't wait to get my hair cut and pick up Poppy from the vet.

Susie .. sounds like you're having a wonderful time back in London. I can't imagine spending all that time traveling with Tim .. he would drive me crazy!
Have a fun day with your grandson!
hugs,
Bren

Good afternoon, everybody!
Rosemary, congratulations! I'm smiling thinking of you with Daisy - snuggling with all those wonderful baby smells, warmth, softness...geez I love babies.
Blue, beautiful pics. I'm glad you had a nice trip, just wish the weather had been a little warmer for you.
Bren, I hope Tim's reaction was worth the bruises. I'm betting it was.

( ( (Otter) ) ) It is a sad task.
-
Susie - we'ver got a Purple Heart waiting for you at the BCOB&G. Well done.
And Bren, please buy a tube of Arnica Gel to have in the house - HONEST - if you put it on right away there is NO BLACK&BLUE MARK - MUCH less swelling, and less pain. After that, I still swear by Tiger Balm. They make Patches now so you can use it without smelling out the room

-
It's nearly 6pm - waiting for son to arrive @ hotel - it doesn't look far from his place - I'll try to walk it. I figure if I push the pram I'll be ok. Wish DH would get out of the bathroom so we can go outside to wait - MEN!!!!
Sue
-
Susie, glad that your trip seems to be ending nicely. So you are skipping Greece? For the love of animals, I completely understand. Even heaven must wait.
23F doesn't sound normal, I agree, but I will take it any day over 83! Lovely, lovely day today at 50s and 60s. The weekend is going to be the same. I might actually venture outdoors for pleasure for the first time in months.
Drat - spilt my last miso soup on the floor (not at work today) - oh well. Maybe I can have an early glass of wine as a substitute.:-)

Got a PM of a good review, went to read it and say thank you. Then got to really chuckling thanks to groovygreta, who per ususal gets it wrong. Only once, and that was admitted to be a mistake when it was seen who was "reporting" my post. Lovely even to be in the same sentence with Apple and appreciate how much value and good humor and kindness Apple contributes to the discussion boards. It's nice and peaceful for solong, we all can almost forget ranting threads about how Chemotherapy Kills, brrrrr.....
Nice to be back to helping each other deal with SE's of AI's. Biotene for dry mouth during chemotherapy. Saltines & warm room temperature ginger ale if the Emends doesn't work, but it usually does. All these good things we've learned from asking questions, and now having the opportunity to share that information with those who are going through similar experiences.
Good organic food, gluten free for me, dairy free now too. Exercise, exercise, more than I do, and almost seeing & hearing inspiring women like Ruth, and Claire, when I'm "too tired" walk, to lace up my shoes and GO WALKING!!!!
Apples, Sunflowers, and a new Daisy - this is a nice place to be ;-))) Thanks again, Bren, for my pitcher ( a pun!) of sunflowers

-
OMG. The review site.
Talk about malicious.
I'll have a midori sour please...TGIF.
-
Sorry Sunflowers~
You were posting nice things while I was getting my feathers ruffled...
-
TGIF indeed. I so hope the second interview goes OK. I SOOOO want to say 'I am resigning and oh, by the way, I am taking two weeks vacation." It is a Dewars kind of day.
-
Dewars coming right up!
-
Thanks, Blue! Make it a double, please.
-
A double from the Mausoleum......hahahahahahahahaa!
ETA - Barb, you probably won't appreciate the humour but the tackies will.
-
Everything, I mean everything crossed, Barbara!
-
No, problem Ang - If it weren't so tragic - what some women will stoop to, it could be funny. But why punish BCO? Seems she changed her screen name by choice? Just must feel sorry for the few who are so, well, so, and be grateful for the wonderful women here!
YEAH, Barbara - what is the date of the interview? Will we all fit into your pocket?
BLUE - I love it - if I could dance to it, I would. But it'll have to be doing wheelies on my red spangled Dorothy (red shoes) scooter! I may even wear one of my fancyschmancy tinfoil hats.
-
I only have the one outfit so can we make it dusty rose, to match my top. I don't think the red would match. hehehehehe!
-
OK, Blue - then I"ll wear my sparkly red spangle Dorothy shoes - just in case we come upon the Wicked Witch....I'll go first
-
Interview is Wed. At 8:30. Oh, I so hope!
-
GOOD LUCK!
-
MORE GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!
