    Sandy i think you may want to add a little KFC...it's my nasty indulgence. Seriously though, I'm sorry you are not feeling up to par...sinus infections really suck...I have had it twice and really hated every minute of it.

    Oh Sandy

    Sinus infections are miserable. Take good care of yourself. I think pneumonia puts your body through so much that you are pretty susceptible to a lot of nasty junk for quite a while. Eucalyptus and peppermint (or spearmint) oil in the bathtub or on a cotton ball under the pillow always help when I have a sinus infection. Oh and chicken soup and other hot liquids. Do I sound like your Mom yet. Sorry if it's too much advice.

    We have been to Niagra Falls a few times but I want to go and do all the touristy things. My DH never wants to do anything he thinks tourists do. An antitourist snob but hello we would be tourists.

    Edited for spelling. Do I sound like your Mom-not Moo?

    My husband just finished up treatment for the second nasty sinus infection he has had in a month.  This last bout they gave him two shots, and a round of prednesone, and it seems to have finally taken care of it.  He genuinely sounded like he had pneumonia.  Hope you feel better soon!  I have friends that swear by X-Klear, a nasal rinse, for preventing sinus infections.  Ed asked me to order some so that he can try it.

    Haven't been to Niagra since I was a child, but hope you get to go be the tourist!  I loved living in Alberta, but my Aquarius personality adored Vancouver Island, especially Nanaimo and Tofino.  If I moved there I would be obese on Nanaimo bars!  I have a recipe for them, but they just don't taste as good as the ones we had there.

    Sorry you are feeling poorly Sandy -  I got pneumonia a few years ago - after radiation and was in the hospital for 3 days - take care of yourself. You may feel worn out for a while - comfort food is always a good idea when you are sick - do you have a Culver's around there? I'd say Butter Burgers, onion rings and a concrete shake - breakfast of champions - or dinner,lunch, snack - Feel better soon -Tongue out

    Pickle:  Yes, this year we made it to 50!  Seems like I was born with this man attached to my hip! As to Sandy:  He's not the one who has problems traveling.  He's never had any really serious medical problems except bad sinus infections, allergies etc.  I used to plan two trips a year for us once we returned home to the South from New York.  We "were" avid travelers and after we saw practically every state in the US, I took us off to the Carribean,  Hawaii, Alaska (that was the best!) and parts of Canada. I was "told" I needed to add Europe quickly because I only was going to be able to get there within the next 10 years due to a "health" problems I never knew I had.  I always obey that voice within (No!  I am not schizo!) and planned our manic excursions to all the places in Europe I wanted to see.  Within about 10 years everything came to a stop!  I had a Cerebral Aneurysm, followed by my bc the next year and a sub-dural hematoma.  My brain has been cut into so much, my scalp looks like Frankenstein's wife!

    So ladies, my advice is that you do what you want to do in this life "today" because none of us knows what "tomorrow" holds.  And listen to that quiet (mine is not always so "quiet"!) inner voice that guides you.  I don't fly any longer due to my fear of lymphedema problems and my spinal fusion makes long car trips very difficult.   The "spirit" is willing but the "body" refuses to cooperate.   Have a great day to all!

    Ladies thanks for all the get well tips it sure makes me feel better.  Just got back from the doctors and now I have even more stuff to take/apply - she mentioned that next time I even feel a "tickle" in my throat I should be in there - she considers those of us who have ever been through any cancer treatment at all special - she says that she'd give us anti-biotics way before the average person - not sure if that's something I'll ever get used to - I've only up to this past year had anti-biotics I think six times in my whole life (I am 65) I am a firm believer in building a strong immune system by eating properly, exercising, working, etc., etc. guess I am a new believer from now on it'll be KFC, hamburgers, diet Coke and anti-biotics!

    Hugs, Sandy

    E. please come out from under the bed - it's no fun there - I spent a while there last week after my Habs lost.

    Nobody got my hockey haiku.  Ah well.

    Me and my haiku will just crawl back under the bed with a year's worth of chocolate.

    I thought it was tragic.  I could imagine you wrapped up in your blankie.  I just wasn't clear on the link to hockey.  Duh.

    Very moving haiku, E!  Your mention of "EnjoyfulLand" makes me think of another sports poem...

    Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
    The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
    And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
    But there is no joy in Mudville - mighty Casey has struck out.

    Ann, that's just how I feel.  I don't usually get all melodramatic over life's little disappointments, but DAMN.

    No passport needed for EnjoyfulLand!  And there's free health care for everyone!

    Love you Blue ... and your great attitude.  Hope all those suffering with pain today are getting some relief.

    Oh my goodness, brussels sprouts are the #1 export of E-Land.  Next is our tin foil hat industry, followed by chickens.

    The politics are left, the attitude adjustment (otherwise known as the ejector seat) is on the right.  Please keep your hands and feet inside the E-Land.

     That's all we need-brussels sprouts,tin foil hats and ejector seats. Can I have one of those seats in my car for the back seat driver I'm married to?
