Now that it's been released, the Right is "tweeting" that he should be focused on jobs and the economy instead of the birther issue. It just doesn't matter what he does...it will never satisfy some people. Now Trump is calling for the release of BO's school records. That guy is really something else! Note to the Donald...You're Fired!
Great to see two Candian teams still in the hunt ...bring Stanley home. I used to be a huge hockey fan years ago. That was back in the day when we had the unstoppable Oilers here in Edmonton. Gretzky, Messier, Huddy, Semenko, Coffey, Lowe...those were the days! Loved going to the games, now it's too expensive.
-
There's some good analysis of FOX News and other right wing media's effect on the Republican party at the link I posted above too.
-
converanjo, you are so on target about the birthers. Congrats on your win last night.
-
Another vote to fire Trump!

RR: The brothers are the Sedin Brothers. (identical twins ) They both play for Vancouver and are top NHL players.

RR: Vancouver has the Sedin brothers. Identical twins and both top NHL players.

Not sure why I posted twice. I couldn't see my first post so I reposted

Cherryl -- Sorry about the Black Hawks....but.....Go HABS!
-
Covert: I think you have nailed the problem between Obama and The Chump. I also think it is the reason he would never actually run for President. When he loses, how could he ever live with the fact that the citizens actually voted in a "black" man but would refuse to accept "him" for their President?. What a blow to what is left of any "pride" he has! This man is beginning to act like real "looney toones", imo!
-
Pickle, thanks. I had forgotten but that's the name she mentioned. She seems to really hate those brothers. Any commentary on whether they play dirty or anything? Mom doesn't usually hate anybody. Maybe they injured one of her favorites or something.
-
RiverRat, (don't mean to answer for you pickle), but she might dislike them because when they play they tend to pass only to each other (twin stuff going on there). They are really good players, not dirty or anything...just in tune with each other and why they play the same line.
Edited to add: that Tim Thomas dude playing goal for the Bruins....yikes, he's good!!! (maybe even better than "Jesus" Price...as much as it pains me to say that.) Reminds me of Hasek back in the day.
-
Linda,
I'm not really a hockey fan. I only go crazy about sports in March.Go TARHEELS!!!!
-
hmmm, Stanley is the name of the mother on Obama's birth certificate and Stanley is the name of the big prize in professional hockey. Coincidence? I think not. Could Obama really be CANADIAN?
-
I might have to become a hockey fan - Roberto is HOT- I don't care who he plays for......,
-
Revcat, I think you may be onto something
-
Gracie, maybe the twin stuff is it. I can see her thinking that they were hogging the puck (and the glory) if they only pass to each other.
Revkat, alas, some of the things I've seen on the right wing sites in response to Obama's release of his long form birth certificate seem almost as far fetched as that.

Did anyone else get a PM from elisasmith47? I haven't opened it because I think it's SPAM. Cure for Cancer in the subject line. I searched the name and can't find any posts by this person.

Why Won't Hawaii Produce Documents Proving It's a State?
Posted: 04/27/11 12:00 PM ETRead more
Finally the president has responded to Republican pressure and produced irrefutable evidence that he was born in the "state" of Hawaii. But now it's time Hawaii answer doubters and produce documents proving that it is a state. What are they hiding? And why haven't we seen these documents?
Mr. Lowery Gorgolos, 91, a coast guard veteran and a daily fixture at the Denny's in Houston, Texas is still not convinced: "As far as I'm concerned there's only 32 real states. The rest were added by communists and the elite liberals. I'm not even 100% sure Hawaii exists. Sure we see photos and hear stories but if photos and stories were proof then Bigfoot would be real. Or India."
For now the American public is left with lingering questions such as "why doesn't Hawaii have a pro baseball team?" and "Don Ho isn't an American name."
Lucy Pulgrust, 38, a lifestyle consultant in Daytona, Florida still isn't convinced "Hawaii has volcanoes. That doesn't sound like America to me." When asked to comment on America's lack of a cogent trade policy and tariffs that are one tenth that of China's at 2%, Ms. Pulgrust responded "I had tariffs once on a trip to Mexico but then I just drank bottled water and they went away."
The Governor of Hawaii was not available for comment.
Edited to add: Just had to post this for a chuckle!
Pickle -- we've been getting a lot of spam pms. Just delete them. The mods are trying to stay ahead of them.
-
Pickle I got one too and didn't open it. I posted in a thread for the moderators.
-
Ok Thanks. I sent the mods a PM
-
Linda ... bwahahaha
Edited to add: I think there are a lot of those spam PMs being sent. I'm beginning to feel left out here. Wonder what thread they are harvesting names from?
-
Oh my -- now some people are asking to see an MRI of the Donald's brain. Guess they're curious to see what lies under that "tribble" he calls a hairdo, and what makes him tell tall tales, like "You wouldn't believe what they (my investigators) have found"!
What's a tribble, you ask? just google Wiki!
-
Linda
Live long and prosper.
-
Interesting! Actually Fascinating!
-
Linda I think you do the cute little tribbles a disservice comparing them to the 'hair' on the Chump's head. They are really cute. The 'hair' not even a little.
-
Oops, my bad. Sorry! Although, to be fair, tribbles ARE brainless -- all they can do is purr and multiply. I truly doubt they would be insulted
.
Cindy -- the one good thing about the NHL playoffs, and Olympic hockey, is that fights are rarely seen, which is why I never watch regular season games!
-
Yup hillck, no other sport has a "fight strap" sewn into their jersey, but sooooo fun to watch.
Edited to add: ....and watching Don Cherry! Can't wait to see what he's wearing. I'm not sure if Americans know who he is, but trust me, he's something to see (and hear).
-
Gracie, isn't he a commentator? I don't remember ever seeing him, just hearing him. Well now I guess I have to go look for pics.
We do get the CBC here so I don't know how I missed this. He does have a very interesting style.
-
Hey, we can all get one!
-
Even the same color as what is on Trump's head. All of a sudden I feel sorry for tribbles.
Edited add: Don't hate me-go Wings!
