Thanks again ladies.  Ray insisted on taking the pic.  I think my expression was identifying with what I was thinking, which was Ok, Ok, but be quick about it.  hehe!

Edited to remove the pic because whoever simulated that got it all wrong.  Our Jim wouldn't have changed at all.  hehe!

I wish you hadn't posted that pic. Somethings are better left unsaid and unseen.

Edited to add: I'm referring to the pic of Jim, NOT the pic of you!

At least he's not all wrinkled and wearing the leather pants.  I think if a woman had done the computer simulation, he would look a little bit different!

Blue:  Our Jim doesn't, can't, won't, EVER AGE!!  What's the good (if any) of his passing over so young if we are to remember him as an old gogger (sp)?  Now you have done your penance by giving us the second REAL, everlasting photo of the guy who will always make even the elderly women feel young again.  Thank you so much for changing it!!  Now we can truly remember him "well"!

If you have any ideas about the shampoo, please post them. That looks like my hair, except for the color.

Glad to see you back Athena; I was kinda worried about you. I'm not a big fan of Jim's (I'm more of an Eddie Vedder/Chris Cornell type gal), but tomorrow night on Bravo, there's a show about the Doors....on around 8 or 9, I think. Supposed to have unseen footage and interviews with those who knew him best.

Blue, lovely pic of yourself (especially nice shoulders and I love dangly earrings).  I'm glad you went back to the Jim that we all know and love though.  I didn't like that other pic.

Athena, I'm glad to see that you're around, but also glad that you're not going to let this thread keep you up at night.  Did you find something that worked out well for your hair?

That lion's mane is pretty much what my hair looks like now, too, except mine is back to its normal, reddish-brown color.  I cringed when, last month, two different relatives remarked that they had really liked the short haircut I'd had the previous year.  It wasn't a haircut, of course -- it was my post-chemo grow-out.  Our local postmistress told me at the time that she thought my short hair looked great. (She had seen me bald the year before.)  She said that short style looked "sassy".  :)

Anybody notice what it is about Jim's eyes that's so alluring?  ... His pupils are dilated -- a sure sign of sexual arousal.

Dinner was a nice mess o' crawfish (as predicted) plus mixed veggies and ... (wait for it):  baked garlic cheese grits (a la Paula Deen).   Oh, and hubs made a custard pie for dessert. He apologized because the crust wasn't homemade -- it was the Pillsbury refrigerated, roll-out type.

No, hubs is not available. :)

Otter -- Iron Chef America's episode this past week (co-incidentally the very day we were posting about it) featured crayfish!  But the chefs didn't include garlic cheese grits, ...of course, neither of them was Paula Dean!!

So glad you avoided the tornado -- so much damage done in several states.....

Those dilated pupils might have been drugs instead of sexual arousal. Just sayin'

HI Ladies, I read on here but have never posted.  I just want to say I think it is great that all of you spoke out against such a hateful post by JBin.  I did the same on another thread and received several rude PM's by her.  I love the united front!  Yay!!!!!

    Laurie08-

You can put people on "ignore" and then you won't see their posts, nor will they be able to PM you. I really like the "ignore" feature. I find it helps keep my blood pressure down. Tongue out

This is one of those times when not being able to hear the inflection, or see the expression make posting much more open to being misinterpreted.

I saw JB's comments as the kind of constructive criticism that so many of our mothers would take us aside and whisper in our ears, but that other mothers might say a little too loudly in front of our friends.

Blue looks great.  The blouse is a style that works well on many body types.  It looks especially good on Blue.  A smile makes everyone look even better.  I imagine Blue must positively glow when she smiles.

The hint about wearing flesh toned undies under white is a great one, but that is definitely a place where being able to picture a friend whispering a tip to a friend would work better than a typed response.  I find it especially helpful when I'm wearing white pants.  We work so hard to keep those panty lines from showing but if you can see the color right through....

How about we all give each other the benefit of the doubt?

Blue, that big picture of young Jimmy took my breath away this morning. Ahhh. I know it will be a nice day.

Back when the Doors were big, my older sister was so into Jim that I refused to be. I now see the error of my youthful, defiant ways, and she always reminds me! (Glad I didn't see the other pic about an old Jim. My mental image was bad enough!)

Pat, sweet of you to defend JB, but if she had really meant those words in a friendly way, she would have been tactful enough to send them to Blue as a PM, not posted for the whole damn board. She shouldn't be let off the hook for that. Not at all.

PatMom ... If JB is a friend of yours perhaps it would be best if she would confine her nitpicking and insulting to you since you will be able to convince yourself it was all meant to be helpful.   I have a bridge to sell by the way if you are interested.

Blue and Ann seem to have been selected as 'targets' and I seriously doubt if either of them are feeling groovy friendship vibes out of this.  Dealing with 'bug fart in the wind' vibes maybe  Undecided since both of them are more than capable of taking care of themselvesWink

Benefit of the doubt time has been there and passed ... on this thread and several others.  How many hostile comments and PMs does one get to send before people are allowed to come to the conclusion that the intent is neither support nor kindness nor helpfulness.

Thank you patmom, but the blouse is beige and lined, so no body suit is necessary.  The lighting was off and the bra should have been strapless, but I bought the blouse a few months ago and was anxious to wear it even though the right bra didn't fit.  I have gained a sorely needed 15 lbs.  I was extremely underweight before my surgery.  Just need to tone it a bit, and I will with my daily walks once the weather gets a bit warmer.

As for JB, she is just nasty to anyone who will listen.

otter ... I had not seen that Dawn commercial.  Thanks for the link ... it was adorable.  Any company that can make an ad that is nice to watch gets bonus points from me ... there are so few of them.

athena ... that lion and cub picture was awesome!

Good morning to everybody.  We are having a little more sunshine here before the next round of storms arrives.  Got to enjoy it while it lasts.
