OMG .. Blue .. I love the long-haired weiner dogs.  We used to have two of them.  They were standard size, so the big ones.  I loved them so much, but they could be a handful.  Ours looked like the one on the left in the picture.  My sister has a wired-haired weiner dog named Don Diego.  I'll post a picture of Diego.

He had his hair cut in this picture.  He loves it when I hold him in my lap!

Blue .. loved the flower picture you posted for Sunnyflowers.  What a great idea for a little flower bed.

Thanks Bren.  Don Diego is so cute!  I might try making one of those this summer.  I miss my little backyard!

BLUE - YES YES YES, you've got my painting "taste" perfectly.  Think that would look lovely in coloured pencils.  I have a whole FILE of your pics.

SHOULDER PAIN - yuck.  AND, while massaging, please use ARNICA GEL.  It really does help reduce inflammation.

Now, MR. T, please tell your family that you really like earthworms!  A great source of protein, and if they're "rinsed with water" b4 someone gives it to you, there's no dirt.  Yummy...

Sunnyflowers .. I'm bidding on a set of 36 polychromo colored pencils unopened in the tin on e-bay.  The bidding closes in about 2 hours.  I priced them on Blicks and they were $58 and in the store retail $96.  I'm up to about $27 so far.  There is only one person bidding against me.  I'll go as high as $30, but that's about it.  Tim thinks I'm crazy cause I go nuts over colored pencils.  Thought you'd get a kick out of the great deal I'm trying to get on e-bay.

Guess you can tell I got bored doing my marketing.  I got lots of mailings ready to go tomorrow and more brochures printed up.  I'm upping the ante by offering a special reduced price for the first month!  Hope that draws some people in.  I'm sure that 90% of my mailings end up in the trash!

    hugs to all,

    Bren

Bren - good luck.  I've never bought anything on ebay.  If you don't get them, check some of the other online store, they're often now matching DB prices, with discounts on top, and free mailing on weekends over about $59.  I like the Faber so so so much better than Prismacolor, much easier to sharper, and no wax bloom, as they're old based.

I'm so excited.  There are 45 minutes left to go, but it said that the reserve had not been reached yet.  Does it mean that unless your bid meets the reserve you don't get the item, even if you're the highest bidder?

I rarely use e-bay, but sometimes you can find good deals on expensive colored pencils and stationary.  I love "Punch Studio" stationary, but it's really pricey.  I can sometimes find it at places like Ross or Steinmart for half price.  You just have to get lucky and hit it at the right time.

Gotta run and check the bidding!

I second the Faber pencils.  Prismacolors break off when sharpening!  Besides Dick Blick, try Jerry's Artsarama and Cheap Joe's.  Like Sunny said, sometimes they have specials on free mailings (which is significant!).

Gads, help me, I want an Artograph 500 Digital LED projector.  Not available until mid March.

Ebay - yes yes yes, bid at very last minute.

Well hell .. somebody outbid me.  I set a limit for myself of $35 and someone went to $36.  The reserve wasn't met, so I guess nobody won that one.  It's okay though, with shipping from Ontario, Canada it was getting into the price range that was making me a little squeamish. Tim would be okay with it though, he doesn't complain when I want to spend his tax refund!

    hugs,

Bren, sorry you lost that one.  Do get on the free email list for those online sites Kam posted, and be patient ( yeah, right, says the Art Supply addict :) for the coupon discount and free mailing.  The Fabers are the best for coloured pencils, but if you go to the DB site, you'll see there are so many brands, and anything BUT prismacolor, might work for you.  Think the DB site has the best description of its products, and informative reviews.

-5 this am.  BUT IT'S SUNNY, and there will be a Spring.  After mud season, oh, boy, that's gonna be a good one this year ;-)

Happy Today all - HOPE KAM IS GETTING RAIN WITH NO MUD!!!!!

So, Steve arrived home safely - now he'll mess up my clean house. It is nice to have him back but he has already complained I woke him up with my wriggling in bed :)

I can smell that gardenia ;-)

10 days until DST starts.  YEAH.  Meanwhile, it's near 0 here, and I can't even begin to describe how tired we all are of this winter.  I'm even looking forward to mud season this year.

hi ladies.  The good news is that my pain doesn't appear to be related to cancer. The bad news is that the cartilage is completely gone. Therefore it appears that a shoulder replacement is in my future...  and not too distant future eeither.  We will wait until after our scheduled Hawaii vacation, though

    Loved the cat picture Blue.

We will get sleet and snow tomorrow night.  I'm soooooo really, really ready for Spring to get here.  I should be home from my job then.  Worst thing about it was being gone so many hours from home.......only up long enough here to put a couple of quotes on, read here and go to bed.  Then back out and back to work in the morning by 7:15 a.m.

Anyway....after tomorrow will go back to the regular much, much lighter schedule.

GG -- everything Cheryl as I'm getting foggy fast tonight.

    Morning Gals,

I'm moving kind of slowly this morning.  As usual, it's cold and gray out.  Not looking forward to going to walmart this morning.

Gumby ... I'm sorry to hear about your shoulder.  What does a shoulder replacement entail?  I'm glad you get to go to Hawaii ... maybe the warm sunshine will help with the shoulder pain.  You're going to the Big Island, if I remember correctly.  It's my favorite island.  At one time my second husband and I had an acre of land in Hilo.  I lost that property in the divorce.  Oh well .. at least I was able to get rid of the dumb-ass husband.

Hope everyone has a great day,

    hugs,
    Bren

GG, sorry about the shoulder, but so glad it's not the "beast!"

A miserable front is heading our way. High tomorrow 9, low -8, UGH! I think Jackie and I are in the bullseye of this latest snow and ice event.

    Jackie...sounds like time to retire.

We are making our way back to Canada after 2 wonderful weeks in Florida.  If the weather forecasts are right, we should stay ahead of the storms moving in.  I'm not ready for the snow yet but I guess I will have to adjust quickly!

Yes PiP - hopes of spring arriving soon are faint at best. The snow here has  a lot of melting to do before our tulips can escape. Don't tuck away your woollies just yet.
