Hi Friends,
Blue ... the cabbage roses are gorgeous and so is the window with the blue shutters. I wish I could grow roses here .. just haven't had any luck with them like I did in San Diego.
Suzie ... it does get lonely sometimes. But I stay really busy so the time goes by fast during the week while Tim is gone. Then we he comes home there is a flurry of activity!
Sunnyflowers ... our temps are in the 50's today and going up tomorrow. I am so glad .. I want this damn snow to melt. Haven't been able to walk the dogs since last week and we're all getting cabin fever.
Thanks for all the support about my new ... now gone ... job. I confess I cried "uncle." Just couldn't take it anymore. All they ever gave me to transcribe was ESL's. After spending 9 hours working for that company yesterday, I only averaged $5.25 an hour. Things were getting worse not better. So late this morning, I sent them an email stating that the job was not a good fit for me and I was quitting. The Team Lead was pretty pissed at me when she called me to ask why. Geez .. can she not read, I had just sent her a note thanking her for time, but the job was not a good fit.
At any rate, I'm exhausted and trying not to feel like a failure for giving up. On the plus side, I found an international society of forensic PHDs on the internet, so tomorrow I will ramp up the marketing again. I haven't targeted this group in the past, so I'm hopeful I will get a new client from the list.
hugs for everyone,
Bren -
BLUE-------Loved it!!!
-
Bren - I don't blame you - it sounded horrible. Fingers crossed for some new decent clients from the list you found.
-
Blue....I did too. Well, past time.
Bren, well good for you. Seems little wonder that they go through help like they do. As well that they apparently are low on the reputation totem pole. Fingers crossed that this becomes a temporary situation for you and you get a couple of super clients who keep you busy all the time.
It is about 60 degrees here and so much snow has already melted. I think nice tomorrow, but some rain on Thurs. I'll take it. I'm sure we will be in yet for possibly weather situations, but I hope we are well through the worst of the weird winter.

BREN-----GOOD FOR YOU!!!! The stress from that kind of crap is not worth it.I worked at a propane company HQ and in my section there were several Filippo girls and I could not understand them and went home for 2 weeks with MASSIVE headaches. One day I asked them why they didnt answer the phones after the 2 supervisors went home. They told me it was beacause everyone on the phone wanted something from the PileRoom..Finally I asked one of the girls to show me where this room was and was taken to the FILE room. It is much easier to understand someone that we dont understand when we can actually SEE them. DONT FRET about telling them bye-bye. Good Luck for this new search.-------kad2kar

WTF is a Facist-Leftist - certainly not Mussolini or Sir Oswald Mosely - there are some pretty screwed up and definitely uneducated people out there - honestly don't know if some are "off their meds" or off their heads.....
-
Where is the "like" button for Sandy?!
-
hahahaha Sandy! Exactly what I thought! My tagline fits to a T (Tea)!
-
Facist-Leftist, huh? Dat ain't possible. Somebody must like to use labels...meaningless, glad I'm not reading where ever it's written..
BREN - congratulations on taking good care of yourself, another "door" will open.

-
Yes Sunny. Some people live in an alternate reality. In that light, having Parkinson's Disease would mean I'm as fast as a speeding bullet, EVEN THOUGH I CAN still JUMP BUILDINGS IN A SINGLE BOUND! HAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
-
Some threads are about as informative as watching paint dry!!! I'm just nosy.
-
Blue - so why bother reading them? No value, nada, nada, nada... Ah, well.....I hope the acupuncturist helped
-
I edited my post to read "I'm just nosy". Character trait!
First appointment booked for next week.
-
Good luck - I hope it helps...nosy, ok, thinking of your reading INSPIRING gardening websites, or something BEAUTIFUL instead
-
Oh I do that too Sunny, as well as a myriad of other things, limitations respected.
-
Well sometimes I am nosy and sometimes not. Sort of depends on what I'm hearing over-all. I still have blue lines from the neighbors place. Then another goofy place I sometimes peek at though no blue lines there of course. That too is usually spurred by something I've read as most of the time the repetition of ( insert Blue's tag line here ) it all is so boring....having so little to do with anything.
Tried on a number of occasions to figure out what good you would receive from saying very snarky things directly and purposely about other individuals and I really don't see it. I guess it allows you to focus on the "other" side and anything that helps you not "SEE" what is going on with your side just helps you keep on 'believin'.
Mud here today....much of the snow has melted and more will go today. That just means more mud. This won't last, but tonight late and likely tomorrow sounds like plenty of rain. That will melt even more snow. Good run-off, just need to figure out how to get it all the way to California.

if you can't say something nice you shouldn't say anything at all. Now go to your rooms until you can be nice. (Says mommy).
Life sucks here. More liver movement, changing to one of the Red Devils when I return from my trip in mid March. Time to keep barf bags handy. I hear this Doxil is good stuff though. So today's rads t shirt, I'm wearing. Dear Cancer. I hate you. I hope you DIE!
Last night pug wanted out I stood up and starting careening for portal to post and fell on the doggie steps shattering them. Could not get up. Husbands cochlear implant is on table he never heard a thing. Finally drug myself one bit at a time to a crawling position. No bruises, no cuts just incredibly startled. I think I caught my cane on something. These rads better start helping. Of course I've been disoriented and sad since she told me but onward I go.

Damn cancer! Add me to the "hate it" list. ((((((((((((((((chickadee))))))))))))))))
-
Oh dear ((((((((((((Chick))))))))))!
-
OMG, Chicky! Hope the rads kick in soon!! ((HUGS))
-
Big hugs and thousands upon thousands of healing vibes --- lots of soothing energy and tons and tons of sorts and anything else that will get you to a really GOOD spot for you.
Jackie
-
Oh, Chicky - sending you zap intensifiers so that the rads fry the little buggers but good. Also sending LIBERAL amounts of hugs and love and strength and virtual chocolate to keep your strength up.

((((((chickadee))))) - have you done the red devil b4? I did it when I was diagnosed and had no problem with nausea. If you've done it AND had a problem, MAKE SURE, CERTAIN SURE, the docs give you EMEND - it's more expensive than some of the other meds, but the MOST effective in preventing nausea.
So sorry, as you know, from all of us, that you are dealing with this Phuquing disease. Joining jackie in sending all sorts of good sorts, and advice for nausea if you get it. But I'm willing to be Big Time Money EMEND will work.
-
(((((((Chickadee))))))) The red devil was one of the chemos in my lymphoma treatment. I had to really work to eat, no appetite, but I didn't have a problem with nausea. Make sure they give you the good anti-emetics and call and complain if you do have an issue.

Is anybody else here following the protests in the Ukraine? If so you might be interested in this livestream I've been watching:
