Blue,
Now the above is an old reference. I don't think too many under 40 would get it.

I am he as you are he as you are me
And we are all together
See how they run like pigs from a gun
See how they fly
I'm crying
Sitting on a cornflake
Waiting for the van to come
Corporation T-shirt, stupid bloody Tuesday
Man you've been a naughty boy
You let your face grow long
I am the eggman
They are the eggmen
I am the walrus
Goo goo g' joob
Mr. City policeman sitting
Pretty little policemen in a row
See how they fly like Lucy in the sky
See how they run
I'm crying
I'm crying, I'm crying, I'm crying
Yellow matter custard
Dripping from a dead dog's eye
Crabalocker fishwife
Pornographic priestess
Boy, you've been a naughty girl
You let your knickers down
I am the eggman
They are the eggmen
I am the walrus
Goo goo g' joob
Sitting in an English garden
Waiting for the sun
If the sun don't come you get a tan
From standing in the English rain
I am the eggman
("How do you do sir")
They are the eggmen
("The man maintains a fortune")
I am the walrus
Goo goo g' joob Goo Goo Goo g' joob
Expert, texpert choking smokers
Don't you think the joker laughs at you
(Ho ho ho hee hee hee hah hah hah)
See how they smile like pigs in a sty
See how they snide
I'm crying
Semolina Pilchard
Climbing up the Eiffel tower
Elementary penguin singing Hare Krishna
Man, you should have seen them kicking
Edgar Allen Poe
I am the eggman
They are the eggmen
I am the walrus
Goo goo g' joob
Goo goo goo g' joob
Goo goo g' joob
Goo goo goo g' joob
Goo goo
Juba juba juba
Juba juba juba
Juba juba juba
Juba juba
(Oh I'm tired, servicible villain
Set you down father, rest you) Beatles -- I am the Eggman -
hahahahaha! I made the connection right away!
P.S. The "Magical Mystery Tour" took me away a long time ago!

Isn't he gorgeous? He should be in the movies!

Break my heart.

Even back then! Things seem to be getting worse, not better.

Hey guys. I am lifting my head out of the packing boxes (in the unpacking mode) to wave to everyone. Hot and humid here too. We are loving the new place. The farm closed and we are off shopping today to see what kind of dent we can put in the bank account.
I will check in again later to see what everyone has been up to.
-
Great to hear from you pip! Happy shopping!

-
Some days!!!!!!!!!!!

-
Good Morning Everyone,
Hope you all had a good weekend. It rained hard again last night ... hoping for a break today to let some of the grass dry out ... heaven knows I need to keep up with my favorite hobby. NOT.
Time to get dressed and head outdoors. So far, no work today. I did have a couple of reports over the weekend.
Pip .. glad to see you taking a little break from unpacking. It's wonderful to hear how happy your are in your new home.
Blue .. how's the shoulder doing? Mine is really acting up with all the mowing .. thank goodness for Lortab!
Hope everyone has a great day.
hugs,
Bren
-
Bren - what is Lortab? Anything that helps shoulder pain I want to know about!!! I'm trying to avoid shoulder surgery, as I've been cut on enough over the last few years!!!
Back at work today, and totally bummed about it.
I am SO ready to retire. Just not so ready to be broke. Hubby says we'll be OK. I hope he's right, cuz once I quit, I doubt that I'll be able to find another job at my age!! -
Bren, some days its good, some days not so much. Still hanging in there. Missing Athena!
Isn't this cool!

-
How pretty. You always post the most amazing pictures, Blue. What an eye for beauty you have.
Missing Athena, too.
-
Blue .. love the window painting. That is exactly the type of thing I used to do and sell when I lived in California. I had my pieces in a few shops in a tourist section of town. Sure was lots of fun looking for old hardware and creating something wonderful. There is no market for that type of thing where I live now.
Gumby .. Lortab is a 7.5 mg vicodin tablet. Just a tiny bit stronger than the usual Vicodin. I have chronic pain in my right shoulder and shoulder blade. All the yard stuff I have to do just makes it so much worse. The orthopedic doctor thinks it's caused from severe arthritis in my C-spine ... at least according to the MRI I had done a couple of years ago.
I've been thinking a lot about Athena as well. Sure wish she was able to write more often.
Oh .. I just got back from walking the dogs and a stupid wasp stung me on the back. Have I complained lately about how much I hate all this nature out in the country!
hugs,
Bren

Bren - Have you tried establishing a storefront on Etsy? There are lots of people selling all sorts of hand-made goods and works of art on there. It's a fantastic idea. (There's also a spoof site called Regretsy, where they make fun of some of the things offered on Etsy!)
Athena my dear - Please check in!
-
-
-
And now for something completely different....

-
c4c - I used to have nightmares about not being able to dial the number that was going to solve some emergency! A friend of mine still uses only a black rotary dial phone. He said he wouldn't get a cell phone because it wasn't rotary so I found a rotary app that actually works. He still doesn't have a cell phone.
-
Missing Athena too - ROAR
E - how is that man of yours?
I was absolutely exhausted last night and went to bed at 8:30 - slept til 5am, so that was good - I was worried I'd wake up earlier. Must have been all the stress from the PC support weekend.
-
-
-
Love this one....

-
Blue .. love the new take on the serenity prayer! I'm so tired of accepting all the crappy things in my life that I can't change ... surely there must be a way!
hugs,
Bren
