Here's an FYI for you folks to the south: (from TPM)
Walgreens and Blue Cross Blue Shield have teamed up to launch a campaign to promote Obamacare before its major provisions take effect.
The nation’s largest drug retail chain, with an assist from one of America’s largest health insurance companies, launched the website LearnAboutReform.com on Wednesday. It seeks to inform consumers of what they stand to gain from the law.
The also promised to distribute informational brochures about the law.
“The Affordable Care Act will expand access to health insurance for millions of Americans and broaden health benefits, but many Americans have had little experience purchasing health coverage and are confused about what the law means to them,” said Maureen Sullivan, a senior vice president of Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.
Brad Fluegel, senior vice president and chief strategy officer at Walgreens, said that “through this collaboration we hope the millions of Americans who will be entering the marketplace in October are more informed and better prepared.”
The effort serves as a reminder that despite the bitter, ongoing partisan debate over Obamacare, health care providers and industry groups are broadly invested in the law and want it to work. While they privately voice frustrations with the GOP’s effort to sabotage implementation of the law, they’re wary of retribution if they say so publicly.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Sandy! Cake, cake, cake - you're such a kid ( young)- have whipped cream & ice cream too!
Flood watch here - glad my little cabin is up on a little hill - still the fields around me are big PUDDLES - ground so wet, waterlogged, some pretty good sized trees are falling & becoming next years firewood - lots of chain saw sounds around me when the rain stops...HUMID - honesly feels like Washington DC in the height of summer - giving thanks for all the trees around me - breezes in between rain...thi is getting VERY boring, not the good boring we usually talk about, but BORING/awful...garden is so, so sad - so few flowers on the tomato plants...
Speaking of DC - sending good thoughts to Athena...

Happy Birthday, Alexandria/Sandy!
And yes, Sunflowers....of course, they are called "jimmies"
.Just that word evokes childhood memories of ice cream with chocolate jimmies from Kohr Brothers on the Ocean City boardwalk.
-
Oh yum.
Planning on vanilla cake with soy ice cream and melted dark chocolate, but the frozen custard with jimmies look great.
-
Birthday greetings a day late .... hope it was wonderful!
Boring news to report .... CT today showed my tumor was stable (actually a teeny bit of growth but the radiologist chose to ignore it). I'm relieved that I get to stay on the low dose taxol. -
