I'm going to jump in here, if it's ok.
Accidents Will Happen
"It is possible for a lawyer to be a complete idiot!"
"It sounds like you've met my brother-in-law..." -
You are correct, dutchgirl6. Gotta love the oldie but goodies.
12 Angry Men
"You want me on that wall, you need me on that wall."
-
A few good men.
That's all I have to say about that.
-
Forrest Gump
I eat a hot grape from the market, and the violet sweetness breaks open in my mouth. It even smells purple.
-
Under the Tuscan Sun
"Life is a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death!"
-
Hint please?
-
Rosalind Russell was the star.
-
Had to cheat on this one. (Admittedly, I've only seen two old movies...To Kill A Mockingbird and Psycho)
Auntie Mame
Here's an easy one.
"A thermostat on a home furnace; is that supposed to go to 5,000 degrees, you think?"
-
The Burbs
"Look Dave, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over."
gracie1,
You should really try to watch some of the older movies, lots of class in them. Some of the movies these days have just a little bit too much going on. LOL
-
I know I should expand my movie horizons to include the oldies, but the acting just always seems so terrible to me. Not for lack of trying, though. I usually just end up groaning about the performances and moving to something more "current". I'm such a sucker....I always like the remakes of the oldies better.
Don't know this one....I'd have to cheat again so I'll wait for someone else to take it.

2001: a Space Odyssey
For us to live any other way was nuts. To us those goody-good people who worked shitty jobs for bum paychecks and took the subway to work and worried about bills, were dead. They were suckers. They had no balls. If we wanted something, we just took it.
-
Goodfellas
Thats one of my favorites, I love gangster movies.
"A man curses because he doesn't have the words to say what's on his mind."
-
Malcolm X
"You've taught this city how to trust the soul of a man rather than the look of him."
-
Remember the Titans
(Sharon, Goodfellas is one of my all time favorites, too)
Here I am, goin' to Florida. My leg hurts, my butt hurts, my chest hurts, and like that ain't enough, I gotta pee all over myself
-
Midnight Cowboy
"In death, a member of project mayhem has a name, his name is Robert Paulsen".
-
Fight Club????? (I think)
...Ain't nothing worse than wasted talent.
-
Yes, Fight Club.
I don't know this one either....hint?
-
Hint - The first word in the title is a borough in New York City....
-
second word lol... the first word is A
-
A Bronx Tale
"I'm goin' home, too. I'm goin' to Blue Bayou."
-
Ah, easy one.
Man on Fire. Loved that movie.
"They do move in herds".
-
Jurassic Park
(The footsteps and the glass of water shaking gave me chills!!!!)
"Alright, let's continue.
- A shot of vermouth.
- A shot of gin.
- A little brandy.
- Lemon peel.
- Orange peel.
- Cherry.
- Some more Scotch.
Now, mix it nice, then pour it into a tall glass" -
Not a clue....even tried cheating. Hint please?
-
He is one of the greatest comedians of all time.
-
The only thing I could come up with when I googled was The Nutty Professor. Hope that's right.
"Come with me if you want to live". (2 choices for this one).
-
The Nutty Professor is correct.
-
Terminator 2....One of my all time favs!!
Oh Captain, my Captain
-
Dead Poet's Society
Here's one along the same lines.
"You're not gonna mold my boy. Your job is to teach my son. You teach him his times tables. Teach him why the world is round. Teach him who killed who and when and where. That is your job. You, sir, will not mold by son. I will mold him".
-
The Emperor's Club
"Son, I work for the Pentagon, so I admit I'm a little slow on the uptake, but did you just threaten me?"
-
Courage Under Fire?
"You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands."
