WAIT A MINUTE! Football already *has* gone pink. Haven't you guys seen the shoes, wristbands, hand towels, gloves, goal post covers and stickers on the helmets? It's all over NFL, though the uniforms are still traditional.
-
Do you believe I just walked into Safeway and everywhere I looked I saw Pink T-Shirts- Pink Boxes for premade Salads and Deli Foods, Pink ribbons, and pink drinks. LOL. Thought of todays conversation and hoped no one noticed me laughing as walked up and down the isles by myself. Sweeet.
Will check out the NFL for Pink next. Missed that Heidi. Didn't have a clue.
-
My granddaughter is a Varsity cheerleader for her high school, and on Friday nights game, along with their navy blue, and gold cheerleading outfits, they had to wear hot pink knee socks and hot pinks big bows around their ponytails. They all looked horrible - it was actually an eysore, although I know the coaches meant well - I couldn't even escape it there - ugh!
Bak - So glad to hear you got approved. Not that I want to see you approved for disability, but if it makes it a bit more easier on you financially, then it has to be a plus.
Titan: Your baby girl looked beautiful and the wedding pics are wonderful. Thanks so much for sharing them. The glasses on the two moms (at least I am assuming you guys were the "moms") - threw me off as you have glasses in your avatar. Are you the pretty lady in the gray/silver dress, or are you the pretty lady in the black and white dress with the black jacket? Beautiful wedding - and now you can rest........until the grandbabies start coming, that is!
-
Linda..I'm glad you looked at them..I'm the one in the gray/silver dress!..not sure about the pretty though..I'm never good at getting my picture taken..but I tried to relax and go with the flow..I dunno why..I like to smile..just not good at mugging it up for the camera.
Re: discussion on the PINK...I'm so very glad that companies are doing their thing..even though the actual donations may be pretty small...I used to love pink..now I have a hard time wearing it..I just kinda cringe when I see the color...it seems to be everywhere...Pink used to be a very pretty color to me..now it just reminds me of IT...I don't mind other women embracing it though...everyone does their own thing and they are entitled to it....
-
Oh..and Jazz..I loved your recent post..you have a way with words and coming from the heart...
-
Here's a brain tease for you guys. I got it in 10 seconds, but hubby has always accused me of having an uncanny eye for critters.
Spot the Cat in under 15 seconds:
-
Titan- checked out the wedding photos...nice gams!
Seriously, you looked great....so did the bride!
-
Hello ladies--what are the steps to apply for SSDI?
-
get over to your Social Security Office
-
I did the ssdi process online, although they did send me forms to fill out and send back. Applied beginning of June, approved today. Didn't even have a phone interview. I did sign a release for them to obtain all my medical records. Kinda scary that they approved me with no interview, must mean I am pretty bad off
. First payment will be the end of November, which is actually payment for October.
I can't find the cat. It is obvious, isn't it?
-
OK, finally found the cat.
-
Can't find the cat, lol. Too late at night, mind is racing for tomorrow. Would you believe I have to get a pregnancy test to start the trial, lmao! I told the nurse if I'm pregnant, then my cancer might as well be cured from the miracle of it, hah!
SSD - apply online. Easy, and they will then contact you to move forward.
Titan, I'll be checking out your pics tomorrow. I'm sure they are beautiful.
-
I can't find the cat, either, and am feeling kinda dumb. Does it blend in with the stuff around it or does it stand out? Hints, please.
-
Hey Suze- Good luck with the trial. Go kick some FC's butt
. (((Hugs)))
-
If you go into the SS office the process will prove a lot faster. Bak no it doesn't mean your that bad off, Breast Cancer, or cancer of any kind is pretty much a no brainer where the need for medical action is necessary. Your not on a permanent disabled listing. You need disability to work the problems your having out. With disability you can also apply for other things. Smiles @ your finding the cat. Any poorly finished sentences, missing words, or badly spelled words are a result of the time I am writing this. No sleep tonight. I know exactly where the cat is. 20 minutes ago she was on my chest and in my face. LOL
-
Suze 35 The best to you today..and the pregnancy test...whoa! Cancer and sex....
Loved the pic...found the cat...lvoe cats too...hoping for a new one
Titan...congrats ont he wedding...remmebering my daughter's on July 2nd...so lovely.
Bak...Congrats..it is going to help
Haven't been on much..getting house ready for first open house Sunday and getting rads and met my oncologist at MGH yesterday.....oh so so so much better for me. Feel really good about it.
-
Suze - Good luck today.
I can't find that darn cat. I've seen this before and couldn't find it then either. I know its plain as day too!
-
Titan, lovely wedding photos. Beautiful dresses and flowers for the fall. Yes, your darling daughter and son-in-law look so young... and so happy.... what a nice send-off into their life together.
(btw, you looked gorgeous with that dress and hair!)
Heidi, I can't find the cat either. Is it in the foliage at the back, or is it a trick question?
-
I can't find the cat. My eyes are a bit wonky from chemo....at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
-
Ok- I can't find the darn cat either and this is the second time I've seen this. Help!!!
-
ROTFLMAO!
OK, here's a hint... CAUTION...SPOILER ALERT!
Look in front of the lower stone wall on the right.....
-
Thank you Heidi! I would never have found it,
-
Well when you tell us, it's dead obvious, Heidi. But I couldn't find it on my own!
-
OK... here's some more fun. This is a stereogram. Look at it until your eyes begin to feel like they are going to cross. When that happens, the picture becomes 3D. I love this stuff, and if you guys do too I'll post some more frequently. Headed to Iceland tomorrow for a glacier walk, horseback riding and thermal spa indulgence. For hubby's sake we're doing the spa *after* the riding!
-
I think I finally found that dang cat...thanks Heidi...
Diagnosis: 3/18/2009, IDC, 1cm, Stage I, Grade 3, 0/5 nodes, ER-/PR-, HER2- -
Thanks for the hint. I see the cat now but even when you told me where it was it took a minute!
Enjoy your trip to Iceland, Heidi!
-
Only saw the cat after being clued me in. Ha.Ha. Add me to the slow list. Yes, I love this kind of stuff. When you are up to post away. Helps take the edge off of things. Oh so jealous right now ICELAND.
Titan- What can I say NICE. I am so happy for your growing family.
Sending positive vibes to us all.
-
Look at the bodies on those girls...Heidi that was fun. I love Iceland...I hope oyu have a wonderful time. Their horses are gorgeous.
-
Have a great time Hiedi...thanks for the picture puzzles...they were fun.
Titan-The pictures were beautiful and you really look great. I can see what you mean by they seem so young...but your daughter also looked beautiful and very happy.
-
Titan- all I can say about any of our children younger than 35, is they're all too young to drive and need to be carded for anything requiring a 21 yrs or older posting. LOL Your daughter is just radiant in the photos and her new hubby just glows. That wedding dress is so striking as well as beautiful.
I recognized you immediately and must say I'm surprised you were standing - let alone giving your best for the pictures. You had to enjoy it all - but you must have been tired with all you were helping with. She had to be so damn proud of you. Your DH must have been beaming as well. Lots of warm hugs and I'm hoping you're resting and caring for yourself again. It's amazing what we can make it through - good or bad events- without crying or dealing with our own issues. I'm glad you have the time to share your feelings with yourself. The pics must have been a catalyst for you. Hope your feeling leveled out now and getting a little needed emotional and mental rest. Thinking about you daily. -peace and small joys throughout this day to a much loved and thought of personality on TNS. Give my ups to your hubby as well. cudo's to the both of you.
Heidi you have to remember I'm on painkiller - and now I think I'm on lsd as well. Are you trying to damage my all ready compromised nuerological brain waves. LOL - And as for your braggart ways - I'm with your hubby, 10 seconds ain't gonna get it. I'm so envious of you and Iceland. Enjoy it girl. Much deserved.God speed and watch over with great experiences on the way.
Suze I'm hoping your doing well and feeling well. Always enjoy your sharing - enlightening the newbies (me) here.
And to ALL THE REST OF US- We all need to see optomotrists apparently. Could be the cancer has changed our eye sight. Otherwise I know we would have spotted the dang thing sooner. Many hugs and good thoughts for all of you. Warm and happy day to you all.
bak- you get a retroactive check? Wow! Enjoy it and buy some new shoes on us! LOL
