Linda, it was PERFECT!!!! Great company, though missing a few....
I bet Leslie and Regina got caught in the East bound 401 though....heard it all on the news. Was starting to get bad as Helen and went through...
Home safe and sound with my very own picture at the computer to remember. Thanks again!

Hello Everyone,
Just got home about 20 minutes ago and it was a traffic jam a good part of the way home.
Thank you so much Linda for hosting this NOTL Breast Cancer Sistah's GT, it was tons of fun meeting everybody and you have such a beautiful home and like I said - love your kitchen (you have a dream kitchen)
So look forward to the opportunity to see many of you again some time in the forseeable future.
I too pictures of many of you today and will upload some smaller pictures here, of those of you that want the near original sizes of the pictures you see of me uploading here - send me a PM and I will send you the original picture to whatever email address you send to me and hopefully it will not crash your inbox as picture is quite large.
Again, your all a bunch of great ladies...
Charmaine

Great photos Charmaine!

Well done Charmaine! Though, I do, modestly, want to add that I took the one of Susan in front of the piano...great shot! I wish Abby was tip-toeing through the strings at the time....!

Hi Everyone:
Thank you so much for making the trek down to my part of the country yesterday! So good to meet those I hadn't met before, and to chat some more with those I had. Great pics, Charmaine!
We raised $160 for the CBCF and I had an idea! Since Sugar/Sherri is entering the CBCF Run for the Cure, and since she's already gotten several sponsors, why don't we add this money to her totals? Run for the Cure is a VERY cost-efficient, well-run (pun unintended!) event and a great fundraiser to support.
Sherri, is there a website I can go to and make the donation on-line?
Hugs to all -- Linda

Great idea Linda and well worth the driving efforts to add my contribution. Though of course, I didn't do the driving, hrf did, but I was in the car and gave great, though very short-noticed directions. OMG turn here!!!! and she DID!!!! Good driver hrf, you done good!
-
Great idea Linda - and thank you again for such warm hospitality and an excellent lunch.
We did find traffic a bit slow once we got to the 401 - people behind it must have found it even slower because we were right beside an accident that would have closed one lane. Dreamwriter even got to do the 911 call. Fortunately for us, we just missed being hit and were able to keep on keeping on.
It was great to see everyone in such lovely surroundings.
-
Linda - thanks so much for helping my cause. I've posted a link below for the online donations. I think you click on "Support Sherri" I hope the link works. Ladies, please all take a read of the write up on my fundraising page. I wrote it from the heart:

Sugar - that link worked - there are a couple of steps to find you - I clicked on Mississauga and then found your name and was sure it was you when your photo turned up. Thanks for doing this!

It was so great to meet 'old' and new friends. Thank you so much Linda for making it such a great get together. We all appreciate the hard work that goes into hosting such a gathering. And your dh was as charming as always.
We had a great stay at Queen's Landing. Took a walk downtown after nightfall. Much nicer when those darn 'tourists' are gone!
Enjoyful, it was a real pleasure to meet you. You don't look at all like I expected such a liberal sh** disturber would. And many thanks for the DD. It is like gold to us!
If everyone is up to it I can host a meeting sometime in September or October at our apple orchard.
-
Thanks PiP! Yep, those darn tourists sure can get in the way of the rest of us LOL! Glad you had a lovely stay at Queen's Landing and that the rain held off until today.
Just sent the pic off to Elizabeth via email and also sent the donation in to CBCF (Sherri -- it's from your sisters at bc,org). Now, if I can figure out to post it here, I will, but don't count on it!!
-
PIP, start a thread like a good Canadian breast cancer survivor and we'll give our opinions on your suggestion (but count me in!).
-
Good idea. I will do it now.
-
Great idea for donating the money. Everyone signed the NOTL postcard and I have mailed it to Elizabeth.
-
Sorry I took so long to get back to you (characters) I was busy yesterday with an Onc appt and as usual he ordered more blooming scans. He is now concerned about my liver?
Thankyou again Linda for a lovely lunch. When I told my DH how close your beautiful house was to the golfcourse he suggested we look around there as well.
Give me some time to download and check my photos. It was wonderful to visit with everyone.I really enjoy these gatherings.
-
{{{{{{{{{{ Mum }}}}}}}}}}}}} how scary is that? Are you going for CT, and when? Please let us know here....
NOTL would be a MUCH better move than Montreal! (I'm French Canadian, I can say that!) Many photo ops.....

Sorry PIP never got a proper shot of you.

The ride home from the exciting NOTL get together was also an adventure. The slowdown on the the 401 was due to a car trying to sneak up the shoulder, hit another car which just missed veering into US. Thankfully Leslie cranked the breaks and we ended up behind and slowly passed the wreck. I called 911 and spoke to the OPP. We figured after that it was gonna be a mess but it was behind us. And we made very good time home.
I was tired and went straight to bed. Cancer drains me of energy. Tho the clunk of two cars hitting wakes you sufficiently. Guess it was adrenaline.
The sexy OPP officer never called me back.
-
Beautiful ladies. Sorry I missed it!
-
Hey everyone!
Arrived home last night from the wilds of Canada. I've never had a GPS take me on dirt roads before; it was quite the adventure. It was fantastic meeting everyone at Linda's lovely house. So sorry that Dahlia, Elizabeth, and Leprechaun, etc. couldn't make it - here's hoping we all meet at the next one!
PiP - I covered my evil Liberal one-eyed, three-horned head with a conservative mask and a ton of makeup. Couldn't do much with my hair, though, and I ended up looking like a toilet brush. Oh well, it'll grow (though hopefully not in its present upward direction!).
Lovely photos, Charmaine., Barb, and Mumayan! Thank you for documenting this epic meeting!
Muma...good luck with your scans. Please keep us posted.
