-
drat - I was really hoping to meet you!
-
Barbe, I was so hoping to meet you, too.
-
Awwww Barbe, so was I
Well, we'll plan the next one around you -- YOU get to decide!
-
thanks guys< i didn"t want to say anything to break up the party
-
I have only been peeking in from time to time. Can someone update me on the final dates and times of our get together? Thanks.
-
PiP - We've missed you!
Final date is Sunday August 8 - noonish for lunch.
For those who are planning to come, please PM me your email address (if you haven't done so already) and I'll send out a group email with directions.
I'm so looking forward to seeing you!
-
See you there!
-
Sorry I have guests comming that weekend from out of town so I will not be able to join you. Hope the weather cooperates. So much heavy rain lately in southern Ont.Have fun ladies.
-
Is anyone else bringing their dh's along for the ride? If so, maybe they would like to get together and visit a winery or something. Otherwise my dh said he would bring a book and hang out at the park.
Have we decided on the food? Are we ordering out or potlucking it?
-
Barbe & I are a "maybe" ... I'm ok with either ordering or potluck ... but won't know until closer to the date if we can make it. I have no dh to bring. Thought it was just going to be "the girls"
-
My DH is staying home to watch my DD (she's 10). Lol..if they come, it'll get too expensive because we'll end up staying at a hotel in Niagara Falls with a waterpark or something. Since we're going away the following week, I'm coming for the day without them.
-
Hey, it's a good thing I checked in!
No potluck -- you'll have to put up with my kitchen witching food! Salads and wraps, and something fruity for dessert. For drinks, I'm thinking juices, Perrier and wine (oh, and maybe iced tea if I remember to make it in time!).
I'll be sending out directions via email in a couple of days. Here's hoping for sunny and MILD (temp-wise) but not to worry, we do have A/C.
P.S. PiP, Sunnybrook Winery now sells the fabulous Chocolate Embrace in half-bottles as well as 750 litres, so you can send DH to pick up a few -- they have lots! And for those of you who have no idea what we're talking about, I'll pour each of you a tiny glass with dessert
.
-
LOVE that Chocolate Embrace stuff! Thank you for getting me addicted, Linda. ;-)
I'll definitely be there, but I'll be staying in St. Catharines. The Boyfriend will not be there but will meet me the next day in Barrie.
Who else besides PIP needs Dunkin' Donuts coffee? Place your orders now!
E
-
Yep, it's great stuff (made with blueberries and a little Belgian chocolate, so it MUST be good for you
). BTW, sorry about the typo: it comes in 750 millilitres, not litres LOL
Enjoyful -- how was your week at the beach? What a great place to be in this steamy weather....
-
Enjoyful - I'd like to try a Dunkin's Donuts coffee, please!

So I will tell my dh that he is on his own. He is coming with me so we can pop over the border to pick up some DD. We will probably stay overnight on the US side.
-
I'm considering where to stay overnight - possibly my father's in Toronto - but sure want to come to see everyone.
-
I will bring a pile o'coffee in case anyone else wants one. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
Lindasa - we just got back, just this very minute. The week was wonderful but the drive back was torturous (sp??). Well worth it, though. :-)
-
I will be working in upstate new york, not sure how far the GTG would bee, but it would be fun to see Canada!
-
cookiegal, are you going to be anywhere near Buffalo? It's about a 50-minute drive from Buffalo/Fort Erie up to Niagara-on-the-Lake, and we'd love to meet you! Think about it.....
-
Just dropping by to say - very regretfully - that I won't be able to make the gathering. Darn! I would love to be there.
Linda
-
Linda -- you would be welcome any time! Are you going to Uppieland (what I call the northern peninsula lol). My cousin has a summer home at Eagle Harbour. He sends smoke signals across Lake Superior to friends in Thunder Bay
.
-
Change of plans so I am comming and will bring Charmaine with me.
-
Yay!!
-
Charmaine the toilet paper or Charmaine a friend?
-
Very funny I will be careful not to squeeze her. She doesn't post very much unlike us weirdos.
-
Barbe can't you call in sick on Sunday?
-
Yeah, Barbe. Your avatar's looking a little pale. I think you may be ill.
-
I AM feeling kind of peak-ed....hmmmm.
hrf and I are tentatively planning to come out. I will be well drugged so should be cheery. We are keeping our options open in case one of us doesn't feel quite right. Hope to see y'all!!!
It was this time last year that my kidney crapped out and I spent a week in the hospital. I tend to not plan too far ahead. It was 2 weeks before my sons' wedding!
