Renee. We Buckeyes are breathing down your neck. LOL. Go team, go!!!!
I've done it!!!!
New low (by a centimeter) 139.2
LOL
Seriously, though, it is a new low, even if in the decimal point!!
I'm thrilled because this has included our trip thru Chicago (and my favorite Chicago-style pizza) and four visits with my grand-kids -- who have every carbohydrate available on the planet.
Our flight out this morning just got cancelled by Delta. This whole trip is a Marx Bro fiasco. I can't tell you how many flights we've had tickets for and have needed to change/cancel/re-route.
Our destination is Denver now. No going to KC. The agency that was sponsoring my presentation tomorrow lost it's funding a month ago -- and apparently no one thought to let me know. Ye gads.
So we're not spending time in KC, but going directly to our Denver love -- three grandsons!!! We are headed from their home up into the mountains. Hopefully I can get in some good fresh air and hiking. They too have all the 'goodies' close & available. LOL
It's a balancing act for sure.
Strap on your seat belts birdies we're inching closer to the holidays.

Thanks captain!
What's yours?
-
I weighed this morning, fully clothed, because I forgot. 163.2 with clunky shoes, jeans and a top. Maybe I will have made it to "the weight" this afternoon.
-
Holding steady ~ no loss, no gain.
faithie ~ Have an absolutely wonderful time on your trip & especially w/your Grandboys! Are they the ones in your picture? CUTE !!!
I have 9 days coming up in a couple of weeks with my grandkids & I can hardly wait! Congrats on your .# loss.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Make good choices as faithie says!

It's okay I guess.
Meece will you please change my weight.
Yes we can do this, we can do this.
♥

149.2
Oh crap!
After an up & down week, I'm on the high side. I wish it was just crap!
I don't know if I can do this, to be honest.....
-
You can do this, Val! The weather is getting more conducive to walking, and I am going to t start up again. I have been pretty immobile because of my neck this week, so I will blame my gain on that. DH has been taking me "out" for dinner. Taco Bell, Carl's Jr....
-
(((VAL))) ((((Hugs))))
-
Meece Thanks for fixing my #. In June I was that low.
♥
-
Well, I will get to my low again. Hopefully by the endo of October. Got lots of out of town activity in the next month, but will strive to make the right choices.
-
Meece...how was your night with DH?
-
Tonight I was late because of my appointment with the chiro. Got home and Dh had fried chicken and kings hawaiian rolls. I had one piece of chicken, but four rolls. I am soooo bad.
-
You are a human. What is Hawaiian rolls?
My house is empty no junk food and all the fruit has gone.
Oh some deep fry chicken.....smells so delicious the aroma is so strong.
how is your neck?
-
I love those Kings Hawaiian rolls, YUM - ME ! Speaking of fried chicken, my oldest DD from two miles down the road stopped by after work yesterday & was asking me, "I want your recipe for fried chicken & biscuits & gravy." Do you know how long it has been since I've made that? Simply ages, actually, for sure, not since I've been dx'd. (oh, my gosh, my stomach is growling - how will I ever be able to fall asleep later)
Sheila ~ I am so happy for your loss. I just wish I could stay on track, I just can't seem to "get into it" again. I have stopped my walking in the basement, was way too hot this summer to go outside & I made bad choices for eating. Lots.
It's all just so darn hard. How are you guys doing it? I do not want a strict diet, that just doesn't work for me.
You always stay so positive, Meecie, how do you do it?
-
Val...Im not on a strict diet anymore
If its not in the house than can not reach my mouth.
I never had dream weight loss as long as I can maintain been under 160 Im fine.
I was really loosing it in June went all the way down to 156.6 but to be honest I got scared because I wasnt really trying it and I started to eat just to see if I could put weight on and it wasnt something else that was making me to loose it.
That was a big mistake.
-
Yeah, Sheila, I remember when you were losing the weight without a 'reason' - I could sense you were afraid, between us (ha-ha, & all our sisters!) I was worried for you. ♥
I just have to get a handle on it again. And the thing is, I'm the one who buys the food. I buy the crackers I can't stay away from & I'm the one that makes the desserts.
I had one of the Edy's lemonade bars while watching that new Tom Selleck (he is still SO HOT) show tonight. And, some fiber cereal, Kashi Cinnamon Harvest.
It just comes down to willpower, right?
Since it's almost 2 a.m., I must get to bed. Have a family reunion tomorrow. Don't really want to go, but it is something I can't get out of. I don't like the hostess' cooking, so I don't think I'll have to worry about making bad choices.
{{hugs back to you}}
-
Sheila, Kings Hawaian Rols are a really soft, sweet dinner roll. They melt in your mouth.
Val, I stay possitive because I really want it. My weight loss doesn't show it, but I do. When I was younger and my metabolism was high, I knew that I would have problems "if" I ever wanted to lose weight. And I was right. My biggest problem is I used to be very active, but since my dx, my body hasn't been cooperative. My hips and lower back started giving me big problems, and it is hard to be active without them on board.
I want to lose weight so much, but like both of you said, if you are the one buying, you are responsible. We are traveling today to attend a dinner at Marie Calendar's, so we will have two meals out. DH also doesn't stay on a good eating schedule, we may have breakfast, but he won't want lunch until 2 or 3.
-
Goodness gracious sakes alive. It's Saturday & I totally forgot to report yesterday.
I had an early a.m. appointment with my PCP and didn't get back to the computer for quite some time...... anyhow she gave me a little gold star for my ELAB efforts.
Yesterday was not a new low, but it was still keeping me honest with my driver's license.
Yesterday it read: 139.4.
Today it read: not-so-honest-with-the-driver's-license-dearie. (140.2)
Thought I should be honest, for those of you having doubts about your own process. I feel amazed when the low weight registers on a Friday: LOLOLOLOL!!!!!
In any case, we're leaving no one behind.
Strap your seat belts a little tighter. We just gotta ACT now, because the holidays are coming!!!
We gotta get to our new personal lowest lows in October, so there's a smidge of room to have some traditional holiday fare.
So get thyself up. Get thyself moving. Jump start your will power. Walk away from the gooey..... or better yet hop, skip & jump away from the sticky, the sweet, the harkening sugar.
I am convinced the longer I go with doing 'without' my traditional Peanut M&M's et. al. the less I miss them.
We're nearly home.

Hey all my birdies!~! Hope everyone has had a great week. Mine not so much... what a week at the Manor! stress, stress and more stress!! Some families can be so difficult and I have a nurse that I'm about ready to kill!!! Need I say more?? And who was the idiots that put out Halloween candy in September?? LOL! we've been snacking on dum dum pops! Not good but oh well! I, like you Meece, hope that October will get me going back in the right direction. I have got to stop putting in so many hours at work. I am practically living there lately. I get in about 8 a.m. and don't leave till 6:30 pm then have to go pick up my granddaughter from the sitter and I end up not getting home till 7:30 pm then have to cook supper. No time for any computer fun ... I'm to darn tired!!! Hoping for better days ahead and much weight loss for all of us.

I had a dream last night that we were doing a spinning class here on BCO with our web cams keeping us in touch.
I tried to be good yesterday. We ate at a cafe for lunch and I had a half of an egg salad sandwich on whole wheat and a terrific fruit bowl with berries, kiwi, blueberries, pear, apple, watermelon and cantaloupe. Yummy!
For dinner I had mushroom-artichoke chicken on rice with steamed brocolli and carrots. Then they brought dessert! Why did I eat it? Because it was there.
I must try to make sure the bad stuff is not in our house. AND I need to make sure I grocery shop every week to make sure the good stuff is easy at hand, and that I don't opt for an easy fix.
Faithie, you get on the right and I'll be on the left and we'll get us all to low weights!
I want to enjoy the holiday fare as well!
-
After that yummy dinner of course you were spinning from joy.
Meece that arthicoke mushroom chicken dish.....i can see and taste it.
No I want the food you had.
♥
-
Meece you keep dreaming! I haven't been on any kind of bicycle in years and that includes a stationary bike for spin class.
If I had to get on one I would probably pass out from exhaustion. LOL!!!
