I was 145 lbs this morning - the pounds are getting harder and harder to lose now but I can't complain considering I have lost 90lbs since last year but it would be great if I could lose another 10 or 12 lbs!!
I really hope you are all doing well and that you all have a good week. I guess we've lost the equivalent of at least a person between us all now!!
-
Moving more (on my bike) has made a difference for me and I lost a pound or two. I'll keep at it until I shed about two or three more, then maintenance. Besides the biking, it is a LOT easier to eat light now that both sons are off to college.
-
Meece, this thread is a big success. In six months, most of your "Birdies" have met with success. I like the way it is not a "biggest loser" kind of competition, 'cause some of us only need to lose a little, or just keep the poundage off while we take our B/C meds. I also like the non-judgmental attitude around here. Thanks for letting me hang-out in this group, even tho' I am a naughty little bird sometimes.
-
Elimar, we can all be a little naughty now and again. I bought a bag of "The C Word" last week and did really well not opening it until this week. I am a stress eater. They are not gone yet, but I had a handful each day.
-
I quickly calculated it out, and Ainm is right, we've collectively lost over 110 lbs! Congratulations ladies. We should celebrate on the 8th, our sixt month anniversary. Everyone can bring something tempting and good, but good for you and easy on the diet. There are foods like that out there.

Come on Sheila you can do it! But I do understand... like Meece I am a stress eater and I have been under an enormous amount of stress at work lately. We have had admissions and discharges to the point it has been like a revolving door!!! My head hurts just thinking about it and financial stresses as well as lack of a baby sitter for my granddaughter have weathered me a bit.
My Medical Weight Loss diet officially ended and I did not meet my goal. I have actually gained a few lbs which is why I haven't posted my weight. Our air has been broken at work and my legs have had about 2+ pitting edema (swelling) and the lasix and water isn't keeping it pulled off because I can't drink enough during the day staying, so busy there is no time to go to the potty! So fluid retention and weight gain occurs. I am still in an 8's and 10's though. So even though the scale says 151 I'm happy with the clothing size but would be much happier at 136. I'll get there I just have to remotivate myself and get over this bronchitis krap!!!
by the way have a safe and happy Labor Day!!!
Roll Tide Roll!!

Hi Ladies,
Just back from a long weekend of food and wine tasting. I weighed myself before I left and was the same as last week. Now I have to work hard so my weigh in Friday is a little less. I second what Elimar says, couldn't say it better.
This week I have spinning tomorrow morning, tread mill and strengthening on Wednesday, more spinning on Thursday and then I'm off on another fun weekend next Friday. Whew!
I am sad to say I quit my masters program 1/2 way through but they changed the program and it's not at all where I want to be at the end of it. I was so STRESSED about it and decided that I don't need that stress anymore. God was truely speaking to me and I had the feeling he was telling me to decrease the stress. I'm hoping less stress helps with decreasing my body fat.
Congratulations Paulding, so very happy for you. Congratulations to everyone for the total weight loss and our commitment to a more healthy life.

(((Suz))), sometimes we have to enjoy the journey as well as the destination. If the destination wasn't what you wanted, and the journey was stressful, there is no reason not to stop. There may come a time you'll want to start up again..or not. You get to choose, unlike when the turn in the road went toward BC.
-
Hey ladies just wanted to let you know that i'm not snubbing anyone but our computer is on the fritz and I'm taking it to the shop the charger won't charge it. I'm not sure how long it will be gone. My daughter has a new notebook but I'm not sure how much I can use it. LOL!
Talk to you ladies later.

Thanks for letting us know Renee. After one sister disappeared from the thread....We know the same thing is not happening again.!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its not that you have to post, well you know what I mean.
I hope you are feeling better than yesterday.

I too haven't posted in a few days. Having trouble sleeping due to back pain. If it's not one thing it's another. Last night I slept much better due to new meds. Also when I was at the doctor I weighted 153 with all my clothes on and shoes! Doctor wasn't to happy. Said it was to much to fast and was due to stress and medicine. I've been told to eat better.
I'm thinking what 110 pounds of fat must look like. I think we all look so much better with out it.
Thank you everyone for all the well wishes. I don't know what I would do with out all your support.
((((((Pink Hugs)))))Lisa

Wow, That's a lot! I wish I didn't stress eat. I would be steady at losing. So sorry your back is giving you such pain. (((Hugs)))
-
I'm meeting a friend for lunch today. That is a little harder to control the calories, and I don't feel like having salad today. My plan, instead, is portion control. A lot of times a restaurant just piles too much food on the plate anyway. I am no stranger to the "dogggie bag" (styro!) Whatever I get, half of it is going to be leftover lunch tomorrow too.
-
Meece, if I had Photoshop, I'd take that pic of yours and put some bird legs on that scale.
-
Hmm, now there's an idea...
-
I spent two and a half hours yesterday stacking firewood - I really hope that will show on the scales on Friday!!! Sometimes I wonder how come when I eat an ounce of chocolate I gain a pound weight but when I do some additional work I'm lucky in the extreme to lose an ounce or two - it just doesn't seem fair !!
-
I can so relate to how you feel, Ainm. I figure if I let the chocolate melt a little, then stick it to some part of my anatomy, and I would gain less weight than if I had ingested it.
-
Hi ladies I weighed in at the docs office today and I didn't do so great I was at 154lb, so I'm up. I have been really sick and had steroid shot and antibiotics and Meece I am still having the constipation issues. I went today and bought some Miralax and hope to defeat that problem and at least get some of the 6 lbs I've added back from whatever the cause off.
I really have to get back in the game. I have definitely been a little bad since I went on vacation and haven't been to eager to step it back up, plus having bronchitis and sinusitis hasn't helped. But my doctor was still pleased because since I saw him in Feb. I have lost 26 lbs. I only wish I could make it more. I have to motivate me again.
-
Well yesterday I was at that magic # 159.8
Tomorrow is another day. I am controlling my outbursts better this week. And I started to walk.
Renee! Renee! Renee! you can do it sometimes it gets very difficult.
Its time to suck on on a Edy's pomegranate ice pop so yummy with 70 or 80 calories.
We are humans and i really believe at least for myself that I cant diet every single day
-
I have had a bad week with the constipation this week. I am trying a mixture of things, with no luck so far. I fear no loss again this week, but the weather is getting back to a comfortable temp to go for walks in.
-
I noticed everytime I have a handful of almonds the next day I become regular.
I eat great amount of fresh fruit and veggies but doesnt help. what else I can do?
-
Ugh, sorry Meece. Hope you feel better real soon.
The pain medicine has made me loss allot of weight, but now I'm hearing that the steroid shots they want to give me will put weight on. I really feel like a YoYo. DH said last night that my legs are looking skinny and weak looking. Well that's just what I wanted to hear.
He wasn't being mean, just concerned. Doctors have me on just some stretching exercises and no lifting over 5 lbs. Not much I can do to define my legs.
-
Well I am up a couple pounds. Knew I would be. If the stuff ever gets things going again,,,
I am NOT giving up. Gonna start walking and moving more, eating less.
-
Good Morning Ladies
Magic # is 159.8.
Its been 3 days since my last visit to the bathroom.
-
Silver lining......Think of all the money you are saving in toilet paper.
Sorry ladies, hope things improve soon.
-
Paulding..i never thought about the saving LOL
I saw a good sale on toilet paper and was planning to get it. Scott 20 rolls for $9.99.
I already have 2-12 packs. Maybe its the wrong idea.
Seriously I don't know what to do I'm not drinking some nasty stuff to s**t.
I eat high fiber foods I should be sitting on the toilet all day. Sorry the discussion.
When I hear add more fiber, fresh fruit and vegetables to your diet I will slap someone.
My friends joke with me how much fruit I eat.
Steroids shots will give you this big appetite like when you were pregnant you cant stop eating.
Well I guess we have to accept certain things.
♥

Maybe we should have a I cant s**t Thread
