I Come to the Garden...

About 5 years back I had a bone density test. It came back with osteoporosis in lower back and peri- in hips. My bone scan came back degenerative bone disease and arthritis. I've had lower back pain so I was referred to the pain specialist. I recently had a MRI to determine if I have a trap nerve. The MRI came back with very surprising results. I have no lower back osteoporosis or arthritis in my lower back...no degenerative disease??? My doctor thought it was impossible for someone my age not to have degenerative disease in my back. I thought, oh well, praise God. Is it a miracle? I didn't asked just thinking such problems come with aging. When I heard about the results I suddenly felt younger, and better all the way around. Giving God the glory!
-
That's fabulous news Hindsfeet, but what was causing your lower back pain? Just mechanical stress? Sometimes knowing it's not a critical disease allows us to accept the pain daily and move on. Good news for you!!
-
For you, Hindsfeet (Congratulations)!
To God Be the Glory
To God be the glory, great things he hath done!
So loved he the world that he gave us his Son,
who yielded his life an atonement for sin,
and opened the lifegate that all may go in.
Refrain:
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear his voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father thru Jesus the Son,
and give him the glory, great things he hath done!
O perfect redemption,
the purchase of blood,
to every believer the promise of God;
the vilest offender who truly believes,
that moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
(Refrain)
Great things he hath taught us,
great things he hath done,
and great our rejoicing thru Jesus the Son;
but purer, and higher, and greater will be
our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.
(Refrain) -
I so love that song!

I love that song too, and we sing it often in church. Wow, Hindsfeet, what wonderful news! And thanks be to God.
I have a prayer request for the daughter of a dear friend. The daughter, Paige, is 38 and has had kidney disease for much of her adult life. Her first kidney transplant was unsuccessful and she's had to do dialysis (fortunately can do it at home) ever since. Three weeks ago she had another transplant as part of a 10 way transplant in San Antonio. Ten donors and 10 recipients. Her father donated a kidney for this also, although Paige couldn't receive his kidney. At first everything was fine but now she's been readmitted to the hospital due to possible rejection. She was to have a biopsy done today and I haven't heard the results yet. I asked our minister to pray for her today, and also our Monday prayer group at church, and she needs all the prayers she can get. So please, ladies, and thanks.

I will include her in my prayers Kathy.

Paige (and the other 9) are in my prayers. What a show of humanly love for all!!!

Keep us posted on that Kathy. Praying
-
Kathy, prayed for Paige. Tough. May she experience God's healing touch, mercy and peace.
Meece, too one of my favorite songs.
I had good news...due to have 4 cancer dx in 5 years, and family cancers it was suggested I have a BRAC' test. My insurance paid 100% for it so I had it done. NEGATIVE! Relieved for my daughter sake. Although I have to have another ultra sounds as they are following lumps around my right implant. Apparently a few are growing...probably b-9. Not worried as my surgeon said that if you have cancer your skin will indent as to why I haven't been worried.
Also pray, I'm trying to decide if to have the implant replaced on the top side of the pec muscle, because of pain around the implant, and contractures. It was the P.S. idea to replace it as he fears that what it could be. Not sure. I've already cancelled the surgery twice
I don't want to jump out of the frying pan into the fire. Praying for God's wisdom. -

Prayers for Paige here, and for you, Hindsfeet.
I wish our shurch had more hymns in the service. I hate to have to learn a new song each week. But it isn't baout the music so I won't complain.
-
Thank all of you for praying for Paige. Today's her birthday, by the way. I just talked to Mary (my friend and Paige's mother) who said Paige is doing well and having treatments to wipe out the antibodies, that is kill the antibody-producing cells. She'll have had 3 of these tx by Monday, and if all if reasonably well she'll be discharged to a hotel in San Antonio. Another series of 3 tx can begin after 10 days, and the plan is hopefully to continue this way until the antibodies are wiped out. The surgeon says the kidney has an excellent blood supply and is a good match for Paige, and thinks suppressing the antibodies will work. So, that's hopeful. So, please keep praying.
I'm praying for you Hindsfeet and for everyone here too!

Kathy, that sounds very positive for Paige, bless her heart!!

Meece, My oldest jay was a FTT baby also, from being in too many homes thru the adoption process, before he got here. I'm praying that it will all work out without all the testing..
You really have been thru a lot with your brood. praying for all yours, and for Paige and the 9 others..
My love to Matt; and all your family. How's he doing now?
Stay close to He that holds it all in His hands..

Hi everybody, and a special hi to you, 3 jays. Good news about Paige. Her sister emailed me that the kidney is producing a little urine, so that's a good sign! She's definitely not out of the woods yet and more antibody attack treatments will follow, but the plan is for her to leave the hospital and go to a hotel in San Antonio next week to wait for the 10 days before the next one. If all goes well, that is. Thank you all for your prayers. That girl has so many people praying for her and it's just wonderful!
3jays, it's so good to see you! I think of you often, and always pray for you too. BTW, our son is adopted too. We were so blessed to get him at the age of 2 months, and he's 28 now.

Oh Kathy! You know we are grateful to hear the news, so thank you!! What a great witness to God's work....
-
Great news about Paige! Wow!
Great to see you, 3jays! My ulcer has been acting up due to my little angel Matt. He told me two weeks ago that he and his former fiance are getting back together. I have spent more than one night awake with my stomach churning. Please pray that I release it all to God and that I stop worrying.

EGAD!
-
Oh goodness!! Nooooooo
Kathy
-
Meece, her weirdness will re-appear and Matt will see it again. He is just trying to be compassionate but we know he's a smart cookie!!!! Then she will have no recourse, he has tried to make it work again....
Then maybe he'll be able to move on and meet the woman he's supposed to be with!
-
I hope so. He's knows how I feel. I don't want him hurt again.
-
Meece: my ulcer is going to start up again.. no worries, cause I'm going to pray extra hard he figures it WILL be praying for your family.. 3jaysout BEFORE he makes another move!hahaha
Seriously, I WILL put in extra prayer time for you and your family, as well.. Hang in there..

Meece, he didn't just renew the engagement did he? Or did he just renew the "friendship"? The romantic side of it? The physical side of it? Maybe he was just lonely or felt guilty.....
-
I have no idea what their status is, but he told me not to tell anyone yet because he doesn't want to mess up her adopting the baby.
-
ADOPTING WHAT BABY???? He's going to be financially responsible for someone elses' baby?? Not even the woman he "loves"???? Does she think that HE would prevent her from getting adoption approval??? Wouldn't a single woman have a harder time?? What have I missed here?????
-
Thanks Barbe. I'm wondering what baby too.
Kathy
-
She has been a foster mother and is adopting the baby who is 18 months old. Yes, for some reason she thinks he might interrupt her adoption. Am I bad for thinking that she is interested in him again because her income is about to be reduced once the baby is officially hers and out of the foster system?
She also has two children of her own. When they were going to marry she was going to have him adopt the three children AND she was going to stop working full time, going to part time. Yep, he would be financially responsible for three children.
Right now I am just not bringing it up with him because I don't want him to think we hate her, just in case they do get back together.
-
I know the fine line you dance!!! My step-daughter had a child by a guy we didn't particularly like after they were living together for a while. We were hoping the living together would make her decision easy to split! She had him leave about 9 months ago. So now we have a single mother with a kid who has his Dad's last name. Another reason I was annoyed he gave her son his last name!
So, Meece, you've said your piece before, BUT you do have the "right" to say something again. It worries me about the financially responsibility of becoming a Dad of three and with a wife not working full-time! I'm sure you've done this, but have you prayed WITH him? Maybe your prayers will help direct his thinking...
-
That's a good idea, Barbe.
Yesterday we were at a home show all day. Matt came by and hung out. I got up the nerve to ask about the relationship and he said it's not doing well. Then the last hour of the show she came by, then went on, then came by, then went on...like stalking. He spoke with her and then she went away, then came back. The end result is that he left because she wanted to talk with him. I will probably not see him for a couple of weeks because he will stay away if he's with her. She will not let him do things without her so he won't be able to come over for dinner.
