All I got was rain in North Carolina. This year we have had near record high temps compared to last year record cold weather.

we are still having cold AMs- 17 today-but it warms up to low 40s by mid afternoon--zero precipitation though-not good!

Gonn ahave a white Christmas after all!  Predicted to get 1 to 4 inches today, comeing  down prettily, not so hard as to be a problem, except for the idiots who don't know enough to slow down.

The snow is just now sticking to the grass.  I am in Batavia just east of Buffalo.Looks like Christmas now!

Snow has melted, no white Christmas here either, 40 tomorrow, 39 on Christmas Day.  This is a first in a long time for Buffalo N.Y.!!!

Beautiful warm, blue skies here.  We never get a white Christmas, sometimes a foggy one though. Hard frost warnings here in the am, but by mid morning it's warm.

Today we are expected to get to 60, tomorrow high close to 40 and chance of snow Monday night. What a way to start the new year!

Yesterday I was in the garage cutting DH's hair.  The door was open and the sun shining, and it actually got uncomfortably warm when I was standing in the sun.

I took off my coat & gloves while walking the dog this AM.  It's not warm, but it's certainly not cold!

It is in the 20's today with wind chill in the teens. Boy I miss the warm December we had.

Still no snow in Western New York, the weather is mild for us, in the 40's.  We are usually digging out a few times a month by this part of January.  This is a lot like waiting for the other shoe to fall, everyone thinks we will pay for all this good weather with a horrendous Jan., Feb., and March.

No snow in Maine, some winter businesses are in big financial trouble.  Going to be in the 40's today.  Supposedly got a storm comeing Thursday, the weather guessers are going back and forth between snow and rain. . . .

We're gonna get slammed this spring, I think.

Although I enjoy this mild weather, I miss having some winter weather.  On Saturday we did most of our winter tree pruning.  I wore a thin short-sleeved Tee shirt and got very warm.  I was worried that the sap might still be running!

It is in the low 30s in the morning at sunrise, and qickly rises to the 70s with clear blue skies.  We haven't even had the fog we usually do at this time of year, but then again, if we don't have the moisture, the fog won't arrive.

Another 40 degree day in WNY, 2 more are forecast, this is the kind of winter I enjoy.  Supposed to turn colder Friday with rain changing over to snow for the weekend.  Then back to 40 on Monday!!

chabba, I'm afraid we are getting spoiled but that's OK, it just shortens the winter months for us.

I think "they" will use this warm weather to tell us we are in a draught and start water rationing this summer.  I don't mind the temps, just wish there was so rain to accompany them.

We had severe storms here last night and possible tornado in the next county. They are assessing the damage today. 

Weather today is going to be clear and warm, that will help the clean-up. But calling for falling temps and snow tonight and tomorrow.

Forecasting first rain, then rain and snow mix changing over to blizzard like conditions from tomorrow 4:00AM on through the weekend.  So glad I am retired and can just look at it out the window.  This will be true WNY lake effect snow if it comes to pass.  Last time a few weeks ago they had winter storm watches and we only got a dusting of snow.

They say now no rain for at least one more week for us.  When I leave from work in the evening, 5-6 pm, I have to carry the light jacket I wore to work in the morning.

woke up to spitting snow!  1st precip in I don't know how long.. Hoping the Siskiyous are getting hammered so the ski resors will open!  It is mid-January after all.

Snow on the beach this morning.  Had to scrape it and the ice underneath from my car windows this morning and the streets were a bit icey.  Had to go to the Senior Center at 6:30 this morning to prep breakfast so was the first out on much of the way in.  Do not like driving my Corvette on icey roads!
