Hi all! Note to self, don't stay off boards for a few days as it means pages of catch-up. Did read all your posts but can't backtrack to comment on them all.

Have had my sister visiting from NY for 10 days, then her DD, SIL and grandson, plus sister who lives with me, her daughter, boyfriend and 4 kids have been here (rented another house) for 5 days so it has been very busy. They all leave out tonight/tomorrow except for one 6 year old staying for a month. My sister will have to find some way to entertain her, this is, after all, a 55+ community. We do have a camp for all the grands that come during the summer but it's filled.

Will be glad to get back to some of my routines, especially my bike. Will try sign up for pickleball lessons (modified tennis) on Friday (after I do kitty duty for mysunshine).

    Night sculpted friends.

Kinder..my son is going to the dentist on Tuesday. The office is closed Friday for the long week-end. DS says he is not in pain and he can take Tuesday off work. Actually, its probably better as there will be less traffic. I guess he is driving to Denver on Friday. Not sure how much time he will spend with friends and how much time he will spend with Dad.

DD#2 had a great time with her sister in Toronto. Yesterday she flew into EWR and spend the day with a gf. Today, she left for camp where she is working. This week is training and the campers come on the 4th. She is working in a program with special needs young adults first session and second session she is a shadow for a high school student. She texted me on the bus to camp, but I haven't heard from her since. The camp is in the Catskills so who knows if she has cell phone reception.

I finally finished my 10+ hours of online courses/professional development this morning. It is hard watching or listening to a 2 3/4 hour presentation. Then there is a test to take at the end of each one. A couple I had to take twice to pass. It is really hard to attend closely for that long. But I'm done and my NCSP is renewed for another 3 years.

Packed, except for a couple things. Need to pick up a skirt from the cleaners. I have sheets for my DD#2 and going to go buy a couple new towels for her. I will use them, then leave them at her program for next year. Hopefully I can also squeeze in a couple clothing items.

I leave for the airport around 2 in the afternoon for a 4:30 flight. I have a couple errands to run tomorrow and go see my mother, but otherwise all set. Friday is Canada day and in Toronto, all business are closed. Not like legal holidays in the states where everything is open. I'll be at my DD and SIL tomorrow night till Tuesday afternoon, then I leave for Israel. When I have wifi, I will check in. I got a SIM card for my phone so I should also have data. AT my DD I have internet access. I will check in when I can.

    Sweet dreams.

Beautiful pictures Ruth, please take care of your foot having foot pain is the pits. Badger you may have a Mortons neuroma that is the cause of the clicking it's what I had/have and I think Nats had one too, I had a couple of cortisone shots and now always have special inserts in my shoes and only wear Orthaheel sandals. Karen have a wonderful time, glad your son has his dental appointment. Good to see you Patoo sounds like you've been very busy.

Last night drove down to San Diego as one of my friends birthday wish was to do Body Jam with a certain instructor, it made for a very long evening as we left Orange County at 4pm did Body Jam then Body Flow, stopped and got some dinner then dropped my friend home and finally got home at 11.15pm

Yes, I have Morton's neuroma too, but it's a pretty mild case that's gotten much better since I finished Femara. I also twist, squeeze, and manipulate the foot every morning before putting on my shoes, and that seems to help a lot. I'll do the same thing every time I change shoes such as when I get home and change shoes, or when I change to running shoes before a run. Fortunately I can wear sneakers at work - I think it would be much worse if I had to wear "grown-up" shoes. And agree that if you want to wear sandals or flip flops, you have to get the good expensive supportive kind - no more dimestore cheapie flip flops.

Claire - I love all kinds of champagne and sparkling wines. There's something cheerful and fun and elegant about having bubbles in your glass. Karen - good for you for finishing your re-cert training hours. You'll enjoy your trip so much more without that hanging over your head. Patoo - your sister is quite brave to have a 6 year old around for a month! Ruth - never knew that about Lincoln. Although I don't think the Lincoln Memorial would be quite as impressive if Lincoln were shown wearing a wrestling singlet.

Cheryl, this is for you! Was posting about a book called The Cherry Harvest on the book lovers thread and gave a link to the show on Wis Public TV about Door County that sparked me to read it. I know you've always wanted to visit Door County so here's a historical tour. (Ruth, you might like it too.)

Hi all, got older sister off to airport this morning. Everyone else gone except 6 yo. Sister who lives with me always tired easily and now has to entertain her for a month. Better her than me!

Going out for bike ride; think humidity down a little and I am missing my exercise.

    Thanks for the link, badger.

Patoo, you will need a vacation yourself after all that entertaining!

I did an hour of spot toning with Denise Austin this morning, cleaned the whole house & wandered around looking at kitchen flooring & paint colors. The Y reopens tomorrow, so I plan to go over & ride a bike...trying to baby the heel.

Badger thank you for the link, it was lovely and very eye opening, gorgeous scenery but those winters brrrrrrr. Glad you arrived safely at stop #1 Karen, now get some sleep. Wonderland if I was helping itwould be one for the bucket one for my mouth, I love blueberries. Patoo I don't envy your sister having to entertain a 6 year old, I see many hours of Chutes and Ladders and Go Fish in your future.

Tonight did Grit Cardio class. I am going to be house/dog sitting over in Newport for the next few days so I'll be doing lots of dog walking and looking in windows - well if they don't want you to look in their fancy houses they'd put window coverings up but it's like 95% of the houses over there don't have any curtains or blinds

Hmmm - Wisconsin Dells for next year's Sculpted Sisters trip - Wisconsin in summer is very nice . . . Cheryl - I'd peek in the windows too at Newport. Karen - I'm a concourse walker too. You get in some steps, and get the blood pumping before being crammed into those cramped seats for hours. Hope you get some sleep. Wonder - fresh berries - yum!

2.5 mile run this morning along my standard golf course route. I saw the twin fawns with their mom again, and the twin fawns were gamboling this morning! There was an open grassy fairway, and as I passed, they were bounding and chasing each other and having a blast. Then one of the fawns took off way down the fairway, circled back, ran down the fairway again, then circled back - all at top speed. Nothing had startled it, and it appeared that it was running just for the sheer joy of being young and healthy and full of energy. It's hard to explain, but watching this beautiful young creature revel in the moment in the early morning light was so uplifting. It reminded me that I sometimes get so involved in day-to-day stresses that I forget to just "be" and take joy from the present moment. Thank you, little fawn, for bringing me such joy this morning.

Mary, One of our very windy days I had a smiler experience. I saw a large bird flying through the air and I just know he was having fun on those wind currents. He wasn't going anywhere or looking for anything but just flying and dipping and kept doing it. I thought heck ya, that would be fun!

    BLUEBERRIES! I'm so envious, Wonderland.

7.1 mile bike ride this morning to sign up to learn Pickleball next week. 80 mins Bone Builders class this afternoon.

Now leaving to take 6yo to see Jungle Book movie. Had lots of rain today so no pool for her and she's been in house all day (with my sister!). Oh forgot, sister bought her a bike today so she will have something to do and may get my sister out and about on her own bike.

In between the on and off rain today I managed a couple nice walks. 18k steps. Nice day with my DD. The 3 of us went for a late lunch. Ran a couple errands with DD. Tuesday morning I'm having "coffee ". With 2 sistahs I met on bco. One I met 4 years ago on one of my visits. Can't wait. Then I leave Tuesday afternoon. Sunday my kids want to go to the lake, his family has a "cottage ". That a few families share. Not sure what DD and I will do Monday .

DD#2 had a good week of training at camp. But she doesn't have any cell service in the Catskills. So if she wants to call she has to use a friend's phone. We have t-mobile.

DS is in Denver for the weekend. My husband was going to bring some food to my mom's, but instead, my son went and surprised her! I know that made her week. He really is a great kid, well maybe not a kid since he is 27!!

Going to get ready for Shabbat. Have a good we

It sounds and looks like a nice trip PlanB.

Patoo I liked Jungle Book. I hope you enjoy it. A six year old will keep you both busy!

We had a half day of work today so I went to the lake for a 42 minute walk and ran twice in there. I'm trying to see how much,if any, running I can do without my hip hurting. It was 70 degrees, bright and sunny. Yes I could take four or five months of this.

Just popped on to say hello to everyone. I have been off BCO for 6 weeks and I have 13 pages to catch up on so it is going to take me a while.

I got Lyme at the beginning of May and with the busyness of the end of the school year, I have not had a chance to be on here. I am feeling so much better now that I finished the antibiotics. I had just started a before school swim clinic when I got Lyme and it was a challenge.

I am doing the LIVESTRONG program at the new Y. I am so excited! I am 2 weeks in and it is going great. So much individualized coaching from people who know what we have been through. It goes all the way till the end of August.

Off to read what you all did in the month of May..

hi all, good to see everyone! Love the fawn story, Mary! Had a nice walk this morning then sat on the front porch watching sparrows nibble at the bird feeder and drink from a small puddle lingering from a recent rain, while I enjoyed a cup of coffee and did the puzzles in the paper.

Tried to call mom to firm up plans for a BBQ this weekend and discovered no long-distance service. It took four phone calls and two hours wrestling with the idiots at the phone company (who shall remain nameless). Finally got our LD service "hooked back up." Apparently they dropped it when applying multiple discounts last week, "rewards" for the terrible customer service we've experienced since moving in Feb.

Good thing for fawns & sparrows and beautiful places to hike & bike to ease the frustrations of modern life.

3 long walks today, totaling about 2.5 hours and only just over 14K steps! Sure thought it would be more. Enjoying visit with DD and SIL.

Looking to book accommodations for last weekend in July, but it is showing up in CDN $. Think I'm going to ask my girlfriend to book it and pay her my share. Mom gave me her credit card to use, but it is a CDN bank and I don't want to put so much on it. Mom probably wouldn't care, but I don't feel write. The CDN is so weak. $1.00 CDN is $1.30 US, or the other way round, $1.00 US is $0.77 CDN. I remember as a little girl it being about 0.07 different!!

Over therapist 5 years, I've been out of the states over July 4th more than I've been home. Yesterday was Canada Day but kids weren't interested in fireworks. I arrived Thursday night and too late for fireworks, and last night wouldn't work as it was Shabbat. I always enjoyed watching fireworks!

    Sweet dreams!

    Hi Everyone,

Hope it's okay to join in!

I went to the gym today for a 30 min walk on the treadmill. First time I've worked out since Dx and I'm almost 1/2 way through radiation. Im going to talk to my RO about upper body workouts on Tuesday but will continue to walk until then. Feels good to break the inertia!

    Happy Saturday to all. :)
