Ruth, hooray, for the great checkup!!!
Had a great walk today with some hills and stairs! Feeling Good!!!
-
Cheryl, sympathy for the loved lost so young.
Twohobbies, love the yellow leaves with the snow backdrop. Great photo.
Congrats on the good checkup Ruth ; and bone density results Claire.
Have a wonderful vacation Scottie. To all of those celebrating Thanksgiving, have a wonderful holiday.
Continued my usual workout plan with bootcamp last night and tonight.

Walked at the Y for 45 minutes. I didn't try jogging again, as my legs are so stiff and sore from yesterday! Clearly I'm going to have to jog, give myself a day (or two?) to recover, jog again, and work my way up to this.
-
at my daughter's in Toronto. Managed to get my steps in yesterday walking in the airport. In stead of sitting at gate walked up and down the concourse. Then last night we had a nice walk together
She has her surgery today and it went well. The surgeon could only take out half of the septum but he doesn't think that will pose a problem. She had a follow up Monday. When I asked him about the recovery, he asked if I've ever had a colonoscopy and said similar to that!!! I had to laugh at the analogy or was he just assuming that I'm that old!! This is from a 45 or so year old Doctor. But then again my daughter is 29 and I'm mostly grey!! Daughter is feeling okay. Hoping we can walk together tomorrow. I took a short walk while she wax in surgery. And nice long walk tonight
Hugs from Toronto for the week. Kare

Got my overdue eye check up in today. All is just fine and even better is that I don't need to invest in either contacts or new glasses. I went to the wine BAR as I waited for my eyes to recover. Then off to a bistro for a bowl of the real deal in French onion soup. Glad to be home and off for an early night and dreaming of what I can do with the $500 or so in extra cash.
Not quite enough walking in today, but hoping for a 50 mile ride on Friday. - Claire
-
Even though my surgery is on Monday, I've been feeling good and getting things done. I've been wearing my Fitbit zip for the last week and a half... yesterday I had 8495 steps!!!! That's over the top for someone who was knocked down by chemo and could barely move a month ago! Y'all are an inspiration!!!
I'll be up and at it, as soon as I am able after surgery!
Warrior On!
-
I just came back from a nice walk!!! I want to wish you all a Very Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!!!
-
Way to go Jersey. . .wishing you a swift recovery from surgery. Happy Thanksgiving all. Getting my gym time in tonight as we leave for our trip tomorrow.

2-hour line dancing class today. What a workout! Hope everyone has a Blessed Thanksgiving.

Hi All! I've been catching up on all the posts. Been off the site as I was sick and did no exercise. Thanks to rest, time, and 2 different antibiotics I'm back in the saddle again. Walked today and then started cooking for tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!
-
Walked this morning, Zumba and Yoga tonight. We are off to South Dakota tomorrow to spend the day with DH's family. I only have to bring buns & a veggie tray. Yea!
Happy Thanksgiving, ladies! You All are definitely right up near the top of my many blessings.
-
Woohoooo Jersey. Wonderland glad you are feeling better.
Did Body Pump and Body Combat tonight, didn't feel like going to the gym but glad I did.
Wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving, I am grateful for all of your friendships. -
Me, too.
-
I have a cold but I feel like a slug and I already ate two pieces of pumpkin pie last night. Ha ha I need rehab! So since it's really warm here, 52 this morning at 7, I took my dog out for a 30 minute walk. Then I dragged branches that fell from all the snow to the curb.
Happy Thanksgiving, all! I'm also thankful for all of you who keep me motivated to exercise and representlife after cancer.
-
Me three! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Taught Pink Ribbon Pilates this morning and that was after baking a pumpkin pie at 7am. Have a small turkey for the 3 of us and made my mother's recipe of sausage & pecan stuffing last night. Also will reveal to rolled eyes, the iconic green bean casserole. My 16 year old has never been to the US for Thanksgiving and someday that will be a real eye opener.
-
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! I am waiting for the frost to dissipate before getting on my bicycle. Thinking I will wear a parka cycling, something heavier than my usual attire. Hoping to do a major ride tomorrow.
Now, off to dig out my ski mittens etc. for my ride. - Claire
-
Happy Thanksgiving! I have been a little out of the loop due to my hysterectomy. Today marks 2 weeks post op and I went for a walk with DH. We took the dogs on the walking trail near our house. I am getting back into the exercise groove slowly. My recovery has gone well and I am looking forward to returning to my regular routine. It has been great reading about everyone's outings and activities. I am thankful for having all of you for support and inspiration! Enjoy your holiday with your loved ones❤️!!
-
Happy Thanksgiving. I feel sooo blessed to have all you ladies as inspiration for my continued recovery. I'm just a few days shy of my first anniversary and I've come so far with your encouragement and support. We made it to our destination, settled ds into the room and are working out for a bit in the hotel gym before dinner at our favorite Cajun restaurant down here. Also got a smiling pix from my friend of dd who is, having dinner at their house back in Atlanta.

Hoping everyone had a wonderful Thankgiving! When I count my blessings, I count all of you!

Off to an #optoutside event sponsored by REI (local outdoor sporting goods toy store for adults). REI has given their employees the DAY OFF to go out and enjoy the outdoors. The event I am doing is a 50 mile ride to the old mining roads with a stop at the Black Diamond Bakery.
Glorious sunshine today if a bit on the nippy side. I think we will be fine ice-wise, as it's been dry for a couple of days now.
Hitting Starbucks first for a latte and breakfast sandwich. Too lazy to make my own. - Claire
-
1 hour water aerobics followed by 1 hour Leslie Sansone 4-mile walk. Just had leftovers so heading out for walk around the lake before an appointment. I see only a Fruit smoothie as my dinner later.
-
I've recovered enough from my last jogging episode to try it again - 25 minutes of walking with a 20 minute walk/jog session in the middle. Hopefully I will recover more quickly this time, and can start jogging more.
-
Today I walked the dogs on the trail and rode my bike with my DH. My Fitbit reads 2.5 miles, which is good since I am just getting back to moving, literally. I feel like every bit of exercise will help after everything I enjoyed yesterday😉..
-
Yoga this morning & spent the rest of the day decorating for Christmas. I've cut way back but apparently still do way too much since I finally just sat down (at 8:30pm)!
-
Yesterday went to a 90 minute U Jam/Zumba dance party so I didn't feel too guilty about what passed over my lips. This morning went to the beach for a morning walk and tonight went to Zumba, also had to go to Costco today so that was an epic walk and when I came home my neighbor had put up my Christmas lights for me, I love my neighbors.
-
Went to the gym last night for a good hour work out with weights and kettle bell. Today I will go there for a swim as the weather here is not good for outdoors walking.
Annie- the hysterectomy is a hard recovery. Keep taking it one day at a time and hope you feel better soon.
Twohobbies- I am sorry about your cold and hope that moves through quickly.
Jersey- sending you thoughts and prayers before your surgery on Monday and quick recovery. I always like to bless my medical team before any procedure, makes me feel better.
-
Here is a picture of my Zumba class, you can see why I love it so much!
It is supposed to be sunny and mild today so I plan to take a long walk this afternoon (supervising the hanging of the outdoor Christmas decorations).
-
Claire, I applaud REI and other companies who are not joining in the madness, especially Thanksgiving shopping.
I had plenty of food to feel guilty over! I'm rationalizing that there are enough phytochemicals in cranberry sauce, green beans, pumpkin pie and sweet potato casserole to cancel out the sugar in three of those items!
My exercise yesterday was a 15 minute walk in the cold (that burns extra calories, right?) and an hour walking around the mall. -
2 hours of water aerobics this morning (2 classes). Maybe bike ride this afternoon. Still working on beating all the sugar and making it go away!
