Let's Post our Daily Exercise

Cubbie, I really like Barre, but I am at the YMCA & any class I take is part of my membership fee. Would the exercise studio let you try out a couple sessions for free or at a reduced price? It's worth asking about and it would be to their benefit because you might really like it enough to join.

Back at the gym tonight in the midst of nasty storms passing through WetLanta. Glad you got your surgery scheduled Jersey. I'm working crazy hours this week but next week looks great and it's only two days. I too need to strength and crosstrain. I'm waiting for the Fitbit Surge to go on sale because it records all such exercise. I do some light weights but am still in PT after 3.5 months.

Water aerobics - 75 mins. Line Dance class - 2 hours (even more movement when you have 2 left feet!)
-
After a great day yesterday, today was a bit less due to appointments and stuff to get done. I would love to try Barre and am hoping it will be one of the activities after I move. Line dancing sounds fun too! I can drive, Patoo and give your sister the car sometimes.
-
Week 3 Day 2 of couch to 5K at the gym after work today.
We had the absolutely most beautiful, gorgeous full double rainbow at 5pm today that I've ever seen in my life. The primary rainbow was easily the largest, widest, most vividly colored I've ever seen. The double was, of course, less vivid but served to make it an awe-inspiring sight. God is great!
Love to all!
-
Lisa, that is so awesome!! Something special is coming your way!!! 🌺😄☺️☺️
-
Lynn, line dancing is fun and a must learn to keep up with the dancers in the squares. No Barre is listed in the rec news and I don't recall any at the various gyms around (MVP, Anytime Fitness and 24/7 Fitness) but have not looked to see if there is a Y in this area.
Wiped out. Night sculpted friends.
-
11/18- solid hour of resistance training. I felt STRONG today!
-
A fun night of Zumba and Gentle Flow Yoga....ahhhh....
-
Did another 45 minutes of walking at the Y.
Ruth, I have the same program at my Y where members can attend classes for free, but we do not have Barre. I don't think they really have a suitable room for the class. However, the Y is being remodeled, so maybe that will be part of the remodeling? I'll have to ask. Maybe if they get enough inquiries, they'll look into getting an instructor and offering it.
-
It's my yoga teacher who took a Barre class this summer just because she was interested in it herself. We use chairs for our 'barre'....so you really don't have to have special equipment.
OMG, I just did one of those Facebook games; and the word I used the most in my posts this last year is BREAKFAST!!!!!!!!
No wonder I have to exercise!!!!!
-
That's good to know, Ruth - I might ask my yoga instructor if she or any of the other instructors have considered it. If we don't need an actual barre (although it would be nice) that's a major obstacle out of the way.

I've been such a slacker today!!! Missed my midday walk at work today as I was too busy!! Then tonight just couldn't make myself get out and walk....Haven't even got 10K steps today.....Now i'm bummed about it, but its after 10 and too late to go out...maybe I'll walk up and down the steps to the basement and walk around the den and kitchen!!! go to make it to 10K....will have to make up for lost time...this has been a slow walking week for me this week....haven't gotten past 13K yet!!
-
Crazy busy at work so no gym today BUT because I have been working with my hands my Fitbit has registered almost 10000 "steps" tomorrow I have to be in San Diego at 8.30am as I finish up the BC study at SDSU, the worst part is going to be the 2 hour drive on an empty stomach as I have to have blood draw.
-
Cardio Sculpt this morning & subbed this afternoon.
-
Derailed again today. Probably jump on treadmill before bed.
Night sculpted friends.
-
Weather was nice today to squeeze in a 25 min walk before dark! I hope everyone had a good day!
-
Finally got around to checking out our community fitness center. The room it's in used to be the bowling alley so it's long and narrow and not very open, but has a good selection of equipment. Took a treadmill out for a 35 minute test drive - it was OK except that it made me realize how much I prefer outdoor running. But I'll be glad to have it available when the snow and ice come!
-
Sluggish day here (really week). Rained all day and couldn't seem to get moving. Tomorrow intending to go to the mall and walk or something!
-
Only about 8500 steps today, but I still have a couple hours before bed. Maybe I need to put on some music and dance!
-
Checking in after a busy week but have managed to keep up with my exercise. Bootcamp on Monday, Tuesday and tonight. Yesterday, I took a nice walk while waiting for my car inspection.
Busy weekend with fun activities with friends and family coming up however will also be indulging in lots of good eats. I am going to run a 5k next Thursday before indulging in the traditional feast to try to offset all my recent food indulgences.
Have a good night all!
-
Finally got some real walking in today after slacking for 4 days....got 18K steps...almost double yesterday. I feel sooooo much better when I walk.....missing the warmer weather...tonight I was cold walking....but rather be outside even if I have to bundle up. Even when its nice during the day, as soon as the sun goes down it gets cold!! Going to sleep in tomorrow till 6:30!! so I'll get to walk in the light...on work days, I have to walk by 6:30!!
-
Did 45 minutes of walking again at the Y.
MySunshine, one of the ladies at my support group said she was 11 steps short of her 10,000 steps the other day, I told her she should have made one more trip to the bathroom. Another lady said she actually has marched in place in her living room to make up her last few steps at the end of the day.
-
Drove to San Diego early this morning and completed my BC study, hope I did okay on the memory test it was a beautiful drive down the coast watching the sun come up. No gym tonight as Iwent to a wake for a friends son, 22 years old, he had just graduated from college with a degree in broadcast journalism and was working at ESPN it was so sad.
-
Cheryl, 22 yo, that is so sad. Condolences. Cubbie, I've walked in place in front of my TV watching the news before bed to get my steps in. Water aerobics this morning and now getting ready to ride my bike for a few (sans sister).
-
I am so sorry, Cheryl, for your friend and her family.
Yoga this morning, did a bunch of 'stuff' the rest of the day, may have to go down to the treadmill to get a few more steps in. Blah!
-
Hi all, good day today---brisk walk for about 40 minutes and will turn over 10,000 steps assuming I March in place for a few minutes before bed
-
Shovel and sculpt.
-
TwoHobbies, your neighborhood looks like mine - yellow leaves still on the trees, and snow everywhere. I am counting my snow shoveling as exercise for today. I didn't want to overstress my SNB arm, so I figured out I could shovel with one arm by pushing the snow along with the shovel, and then when I got to the grass, using my foot to lift the shovel up to dump it instead of picking it up. It's slow work, but it makes me feel like I'm helping, at least.
-
Yes, Cubbie. I'm going to feel this workout tomorrow. Heavy snow.
