Hello SOSisters.. hope this find all of you doing well. I'm off this weekend so tomorrow will be a true TGIF!
BarbAnne - I'd rather not have any snow. We lived in NJ for a while and went through a lot of snow and a blizzard. I'm a warm weather girl!
Patty - so what else will they do beside remove the site of the cancer? Have you been back for your next appointment? Keep us posted! Isn't it amazing what your kids can remember you told them when they were younger but they can't remember what you told him this morning? I have been using Carol's Daughters products, a Vanilla Bean cream that supposedly helps with the frizzes. I do believe my hair may be getting just a tiny bit better.
Neece - hope this finds you doing well. Is it cold down there? Went out to dinner with daughter and grandkids this evening. Grandson (he's 16) was talking about all the terrible floods, fires, etc. you had in Australia after we had all discussed the devastation in Japan. He watches the news and keeps up with current events. I tend to agree with you that the planet is certainly trying to tell us something!
RonnieKay - the puppies have a lot of energy and keep us amused as we watch all their antics. Tonight came home to discover they had found the toilet paper and papered the bathroom. I had to laugh, what a mess! You absolutely have to come to Vegas, I sure hope your family can find another weekend. It sounds like it will be so much fun.
Vickilynn - is that why the days seem so short? Time is just flying by and I feel like I have so much left to do and so little time. I am making my own personal bucket list (did you guys see the movie?) BC and heart problems certainly puts a lot of things in perspective and I know longer worry so much about life's little irritations!
Everyone take care. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
Jane

The news from Japan just keeps getting scarier and scarier. And the human loss is just tragic. We may have our woes, but at least we are blessed with roofs over our heads and food and water and safe air to breathe. Tragedy really does put things in perspective.
Jane... Good for you for putting your bucket list in order. Gives one a sense of purpose and priority. I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to complete everything on your list and I hope the TATA reunion is right up there! And yes, children certainly do seem to have better long-term memory, than short term. Juvenile alzheimers?
Ronnie...Really? 365 days available and your family picks the few that conflict with the BC reunion? I hope another weekend will work for everyone in your family, 'cuz how could we have our little reunion without you?
Good luck on your check-ups everyone! My little skin devil has been sliced off, but I go in on April 5th for another procedure to burn the little sucker into oblivion. Lucky it is still long pants season!
Patty
-
Patty- You are right we are blessed even with the snow and rain, to have roofs and food. The whole tragedy is very sad. I am with you about pants; with my itch/rash I am also very happy it is still pants season. I know what you mean about kids, my favorite is when I give the lecture on, well you do not have to do what your friends are doing you can follow your own path, and then she says well why is it when I ask to do something you ask what other kids are doing? And then she proceeds to tell me how she has won....I knew there was a reason I only had one.. Keep us posted on your ankle.
Vicki-I heard that time thing too, isn't that crazy? I also heard the earthquake moved Japan 13 feet --that just blows my mind! Hope you are well, are you going back to Northern California come summer or staying put?
Ronnie-Let us know how your appointments went. I hope you got some good weather, we had a little burst of spring the last couple of days, even hit the mid-sixties yesterday (St Patty's Day) so almost all the snow is gone. There are a few piles left that were really big from snow plows, but it is great to see grass even if it is brown and muddy.
Jane-- your puppies TP-ed the bathroom? How awesome is that? Too bad you didn't have some video that would be hysterical. I am with you on the snow. It is pretty around Christmas, when we are inside watching it come down, and all the twinkling lights, but then it just keeps piling up, and makes a mess of everything. I put on my Facebook how happy I was we were getting at least a taste of Spring, and that I would not badmouth summer again.
So I saw my oncologist Monday, He said it was time for a bone scan to see what's going on there, that will be April 11th, and he requisitioned my May mammogram, which ended up being June 1st. And he thinks my itch/rash is the Tamoxifen, so I am off Tamox for six weeks while he has the bone scan and some blood work done. If the blood work shows I am in full menopause, the bone scan looks good, and the rash goes away he is switching me to, I think he said, arimidex. If I am not in menopause, and/or the rash doesn't go away, he may put be back on Tamox, and then send me to a dermatologist. So we will see..
Have a Great weekend ladies
Love and Hugs
Barbara
-
BarbAnne: It sounds like your onc is doing his job...GOOD! That rash has sounded awful, and you've tried everything...it HAS to be the tamoxifen! My uneducated guess is that you'll find yourself in menopause and the answer will be an AI. If so, I hope it treats you better! Wishing you healthy blood and strong bones!
Oh Patty..I think I'll surely plan on uniting with my "sister family" in September! And I love that they're burning the sucker into oblivion...YEAH!!!!
AHHHHH....dinner's ready!!! PS...cancelled my appointments...because I could....how bad is that! Love to all!

Hello SOSisters....gorgeous day in NC but pollen has turned everything green. About the time everything starts blooming we have a cold snap and tonight I have to cover up my flowers. Took the babies for their 16 week checkup and shots today. They weren't too happy with the shots but seem to have recovered this afternoon.
Patty - my bucket list is pretty short, some of it I'm saving for when I retire, but yes, Vegas is right there on the top of the list. Saw where Celine Dion is back at Ceasers, we saw her a few years ago, she was wonderful!
BarbAnne - I also had a bone scan. Was so afraid of what the results would be and now I'm so glad I had it - nothing but good news. You will have to let me know how the arimidex goes, I think that is what I will be on next time I see my onc. I know I need to be on something but glad the Famera is going to be a thing of the past. It does aggravate heart conditions. Has it warmed up any in your neck of the woods?
RonnieKay - I love that you cancelled all your appointments! I changed a dental appointment but I don't think that counts. I'm glad to hear you will be in Vegas in September, can't wait to meet everyone in person. So wish everyone was able to go. Well, my dinner isn't ready and won't be if I don't get off the computer.
Take care everyone. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
Jane

Went to the Yuma Marine Corps Air Show today! Quite an amazing thing. Incredible what airplanes can do these days! And they are very loud : ) And there were lots of marines in uniform... beautiful 70 degree weather.
hope you're all doing well.
-
Good morning SOSisters.... a rainy day in NC. Dentist and heart doctor today. I rather just to the dentist (sad isn't it?). The babies are doing great and sleeping through the night. Went for their checkup last week and all was well. Mac now weighs 3.25 lbs and PC weighs 3.75 lbs. They aren't suppose to get more than 6 pounds at most.
Going to be walking in the Relay for Life race next month as a survivor. Several of us from work are going, one lady I work with lost an eye to cancer. Can you imagine? We have a strong bond, body parts are different but mind set is the same! Just got through raising money for our local food bank, the food bank desperately needs food and it's something we do every year. Each year we do just a little better, which I think is amazing in this ecomomy. Our associates are a generous and giving bunch of people.
Hope this finds all of you doing well. BarbAnne what is the new pill? Patty know you are getting anxious about the April 5 appointment, wanting it over and done. VickiLynn - I am going to name you the "wanderer". You and DH sound like you have so much fun! Yes, I am jealous. Patty are you swamped with brides? Neece how are you doing, is it cold?
Everyone take care and post when you can. Seems to me our post just keep getting fewer and fewer. Guess that's good and bad.
Take care. Thoughts and prayers are with you!
Jane
-
Ronnie-- Yes you should cancel whenever....take advantage of being out of the 'have to' part of treatment.
Vicki-- Sounds like fun. Air shows are always more fun and exciting than I expect. Glad you are finding things to have fun doing!
Jane-- Warm up? No. The highs for the past week have struggled to get in the thirties, lows in the teens. Luckily it hasn't snowed, but we are normally in the fifties, so this is getting really annoying. No new pill yet, bone scan is the 11th then I see my onc on the 25th. On the bright side my skin is healing, and I only feel itchy once in a while during the day....unlike the last year where i felt itchy all the time and had to alter my clothes just to be dressed. I will keep you posted on the appts. How did you dentist and heart appt go? Good for you for participating in Relay for Life, someday I will do those things, I promise. Those babies are growing!! Give them a hug from Auntie Barbara
Patty appointment on the fifth? follow-up? Hope you are well!
Love and hugs to all my sisters.
Barbara
-
Jane - I hope your appointments went well today. It is pretty grim when a dental appointment is the best one of the day. Ugh.
Barbara - Great news on the itch! It sounds like Tamox is the culprit. I'm curious to hear what the alternative is for you. I hope your weather gets back to normal soon.
Ronnie - How delightfully naughty of you to cancel your appointments. Wish I had the guts.
VickiLynn - I love, love, love air shows!
I was at the dentist last week and she solved a mystery that's been bothering me. It seems to me that chemo has permanently changed my taste buds. Especially for sweets...most of which taste awful to me still. I had done a little research on my own and learned that taste buds have a life span of only about two weeks, so I couldn't figure out why they would still be messed up one year out. My dentist explained it isn't the taste buds, its that after chemo I'm producing less saliva than I used to...which causes taste changes. So I guess I have a mild case of dry mouth. The upside is you don't get as much plaque either. I got rave reviews on my oral hygiene!
Patty
-
Good morning SOSisters....decided I better post now, need to get ready for work. This will be a real TGIF, off the whole weekend! Doctor's appointments were great - good report from cardiologist and dentist. What a relief!
Patty - interesting about the saliva. I'm am always drinking something, usually Diet Coke. I don't enjoy some of the foods I used to like, mainly cake and cookies. Haven't found a replacement for those yet and I guess that's a good thing. Have you talked with Ronnie Kay? Seems like a lot of ladies are putting down their room deposits for Vegas already. Appointment next week for you, know you are anxious. Please let us know how you do and what the doctor says.
BarbAnne - I'm thinking about you and your appointments. I will be glad for you when they are over! Our weather is crazy but it sounds a lot better than yours. The babies are going on Sunday for their first haircut. We are doing before and after pictures. Maybe I will redo mine so you can see how they are growing. Better yet I'll just post a picture of the dogs!

Hope all of you are doing great and ready for the weekend!
Take care. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
Jane
-
Jane - Thanks for the reminder about the room deposit. I'll get on it! Thanks also for remembering my procedure this week. I'm encouraged that the site has healed really well after the biopsy. Naturally just when it is looking good...they are going to open it up again to make sure all the bad cells are gone. I'm actually not too concerned. Not least because I have this idea that a little bit of cancer on my ankle (far from anything really vital) just can't be that bad.
Patty
-
Patty - glad you're healing well and I'm hoping for good results. You are right - it's all relative isn't it? What your dentist said about dry mouth sure makes sense to me. I wondered why I feel that way so often - like I have no saliva in my mouth!
Jane - so glad you had good reports from the cardio and dentist.
Barbara - you haven't told us how things are on the home front. Sure hoping there's improvement there.
We decided to head back north for the summer. This desert heat will be more than we can handle, I think! We had a couple of 100 degree days and I wanted to melt. Interestingly, someone today told me that's another after chemo SE - intolerance to heat. I don't know if it's true, but I really get overheated so easily. My DH is surprised, because it was always him that had the problem. BUT so as not to get overheated this afternoon (It only got to 88 today) I just put on my swim suit and walked to the pool and jumped (well, actually stepped) in - swam around for 5 minutes and now I'm sitting writing you all while staying cool in my wet swimsuit! What a life.
But, where we're headed (Redding, CA) we'll be in an RV park with a pool, too and Redding averages in the 90's all summer (with a couple weeks over 100). But I think this desert sun is HOTTER than anything I've experienced. And it stays over 115 for 3 to 4 months!!
Couple other reasons we're heading north, (we decided we like our dr's up there better than the ones we found down here), but it will be good. We're taking our time going up there (800 miles north) may take us 3 weeks : ) I like how we travel...
-
Patty- that's really interesting about the dentist, I guess that is why I don't crave sweets any more, and I guess why I crave salty stuff with lots of Tabasco Sauce...go figure. Yes the itch is much better, I seem to have a few flare ups around the breast that had cancer, but I am trying some of the other creams I was prescribed during my year of trying to get rid of this. How did your doc appointment go, and I would think the same thing. Little bit of cancer on ankle...no sweat!
Jane- Yea for good reports. How did the babies haircut go? Did they get bows or little neckerchiefs?
Vicki- Thanks for thinking of me and the family. The drama seems to have its ups and downs. Yesterday we were the worst parents in the world, today we evidently are her best friends...go figure. Keep us posted on your moves.
So my bone scan is next Monday and my follow-up with the onc is the 25th, I will keep you all posted about how these visits go and what he does drug-wise for me.
I have my application in for another job at my college..if you ladies could throw up a prayer for this I would be very grateful. Thanks
Love and hugs
Barbara
-
Vicki - I don't just like how you two travel...I like how you live! How great to pack your "house" and move on down the road when the mood strikes you. After all my home repair adventures this year, I feel like my house is a huge chain around my ankle!
Barbara - Well...at least there are days when DD likes you! Hopefully those will become numerous as she get's through the teen dramas. Fingers crossed on this end for the job!
Patty
-
Hello SOSisters.... another beautiful day in NC and even though I was inside all day it's nice to walk out to sunshine and warm weather.
VickiLynn - I think we are all envious of your ability to just pick up and go and to do whatever you want, when you want. I am finding that even though I love warm weather that I can't tolerate the heat like I used too. NC is famous for hot summers and lots of humidity (which is really good for my frizzy hair!).
Patty - I'm making room reservations this weekend! How did your procedure go? What's next? I agree about houses and repairs. Nice thing about condo living, no maintenance - now if I could only get someone to do the inside.
BarbAnne - would you believe no bows or neckerchiefs? In fact I said to DH after we got home that I was a little disappointed. But since the lady did such a nice job with their puppy cuts I can't really complain DH would have taken off the neckerchiefs anyway - he use to do that with our other maltese. Doesn't want his "boys" dressed up. Know that you are anxious about Monday and the 25th. You know we are all praying for great results - you will be so relieved and so glad you had these tests done. Prayers are with you on the job, when will you know?
Everyone take care. Wish all our long lost sisters would post, just a couple of lines to let us know you are doing okay!
Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hello all, sorry to have been out of touch - just lots going on with work, family and social life lately - mostly good stuff.Have tried to catch up on everyone's news. Hope you are all feeling fine, with spring weather to enjoy - we are having some lovely autumn days here DownUnder.
Nothing much to report really - just hope you are all travelling well with no health concerns.
love,
neece
-
Neece- Glad you are keeping busy with good things, thank you for checking in.
Patty and Jane- Thanks for the prayers, thoughts and crossed fingers...the rumor is I may get a call for an interview this week, I know I ask a lot on the prayer front but if you guys are in the mood to throw up a prayer that my DH will want me to take this job, and be supportive, that would be great...he can be resistant to change, and this job, although he doesn't know it yet has a different schedule then I am working now, but the benefits....are sooooo worth it...just hoping I get the call, and DH is on board....lordy..
Bone density scan was a piece of cake, won't know the result until my onc appointment on the 25th, but I am sure it is fine.
Patty- I am with you on the house, all that maintenance..hope your ankle is in good form.
Jane_ Yesterday it was sunny, mid 80's and humid, today it is windy, cloudy and in the 50's with the low in the 30's, it is no wonder we don't all die of the flu in Michigan!! I bet your flowers are blooming! As far as bows an neckerchiefs, I love em, but I think my DH would agree with yours, how about camouflage neckerchiefs? Maybe that would be manly enough for his boys?
Love and hugs
Barbara
-
Barbara - I just loved my bone density test last year. It was the ONLY test that I actually got to keep my clothes on for! My fingers are crossed you get the call...and DH sees the light!
Patty
-
Hello SOSisters... one more day and I'm on vacation. I am so ready. Not doing anything exciting but being home will be great, have several house projects lined up. Doctor's appointment at Duke was great, I don't have to go back for a whole year!
Neece - glad all is going well. We have missed your posts. Seems so strange that it is autumn there and just beginning of summer here. Are you enjoying your job?
Barbara - I'm keeping the prayers going for both test results and job. When I got my promotion last year it was quite an adjustment for not only DH but me too. I went from M-F, 8-5 to working all shifts, day, nights and weekends. My DH was very supportive of the new job, but doesn't like the nights and weekends. However, I love my job and he knows it.
Patty - I'm the same way, the bone density is about the easiest test. The brides keeping you busy? Have you heard from Ronnie Kay?
To all our sisters who haven't posted and are just maybe reading, we miss you. Would love to hear how you are doing?
Take care. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love,
Jane
-
Jane - Enjoy your vacation! Do you get 2 weeks? Tell us one thing fun you have planned...
-
Patty loved your comment re bone density scan - lol. It's so true isn't it, after all the tests, xrays, scans and examinations, you kinda get used to throwing off your clothes in front of strangers - but very nice when you don't have to.
BarbAnne fingers crossed on your possible new job. What kind of work is it? Hope it all turns out well for you.
I am on vacation this week and apart from lying in bed about a half hour later than usual, I seem to have been busier than ever! Never mind - all good stuff - family, house and garden (plus a teeny bit of retail therapy thrown in) Am heading off for Easter weekend to National Folk Festival - held every Easter in our national capital, Canberra. DH is performing there again this year and I hope to catch up with some good friends as well as some good music.
Please send healing energies this way - my dear friend Z---, who I think I mentioned in a post some time ago, is again in hospital suffering terrible pain from bc mets. She is the bravest, most loving and generous woman I know. She is a Kurdish woman from Iraq; she and her husband escaped Saddam's persecution with three small children by climbing across the mountains through Turkey where they endured terrible deprivations. Eventually they were accepted as refugees into Australia and settled here. Her husband was an alcoholic and treated her terribly. Despite that her spirit shone - for a number of years she ran an Iraqi food cafe in our local shopping centre - that's how I met her - she was always giving away food to people who had no money and welcomed one and all into her cafe. Eventually she left her husband and at that point her life began to blossom. She had been an artist in Iraq and went back to college here to study art; loving her new, independent life with her beautiful children growing up. Then soon after, she gets struck down by the dreaded breast cancer. She now has mets in her pelvis and thigh and suffers terrible pain that she is admitted to hospital to deal with.
I just want everyone in the world to know what a hero this woman is. Went to see her this morning and came away with my heart heavy to see her suffering, but also filled with love and admiration for her bravery and her beautiful spirit.
-
Hello SOSisters...so first day of vacation yesterday we had terrible storms and a tornado came through about 5 miles from us! So many homes and cars damaged and destroyed. 10,000 homes still without power. The devasation is just mind-boogling.
VickiLynn - I had to laugh and said to DH, what am I doing fun on my vacation? Haven't come up with the answer yet but as soon as I do I'll let you know! I'm only off for a week, have 5 weeks but I spread them out Feb. - 1st of Sept. Except this year of course where I'm playing hookey the last week of Sept., first of Oct. to fly out to Vegas
Neece - I will send up prayers for your friend. Sounds like she has been very courageous for a long, long time. Glad you are enjoying yourself and staying busy. My week is also going to be filled with house and family. No gardening. Hope you get all done.
Everyone take care, and have a great week. Please check in and let us know how you are doing. Thoughts and prayers are with you!
Jane
-
Neece - Your friend's story is just so sad. It is hard to understand why some people just have a lot of trouble in their lives...and then BC on top of it! I hope they can find something to stop her pain. Happy vacation to you and enjoy the folk festival!
Jane - Don't know about you but sometimes for me the best "vacation" is one spent puttering around home getting things done that I've been putting off and, as Neece says, fitting in some retail therapy. We've gotten everything cleared up from our show on the 10th and have decided to only work part time this week. So nice! I'd like to sleep in, but alas, have to get a 9th grader to school on time.
Barbara - Any news on the job?
Patty
-
Jane I saw the tornados in NC on the TV news. Shocking. I do hope you and yours got through OK.
For those who celebrate Easter as a cultural or religious holiday, I wish you all a happy one.
-
Good morning SOSisters.... a beautiful day here in NC. Latest news on tornado, 167 homes destroyed, 148 damaged, 50+ cars damaged and one life lost. It looks like these neighborhoods have been bombed. The outpouring of help from neighbors has been wonderful. Everyone is counting their blessings and knowing it could be so much worse. 5+ miles and we would have been in the path!
Patty - I am enjoying being at home. Yesterday sent DH golfing and spent the whole day doing projects I had put off since moving in, not to mention got to spend the whole day with the dogs! I did, however, start the morning off locking us out of the condo. Let the boys out and closed door behind me, it locked. Fortunately daughter lives up the street, has a key and came to the rescue. Rest of the day was good

All - missing you, where is everyone? Hope everyone is well. Take care. Thoughts and prayers are with you!
Jane
-
Hi ladies-- Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. I actually got a call from HR, at the college I work for, but when I discussed the shift change with DH and DD, I realized how hard I had worked an sacrificed to be around for our daughter her whole life, and now for her senior years I would hardly ever see her...so I declined the interview, and am keeping my fingers crossed that something will come up that I won't be coming home late at night. But thanks again.
Jane!! So glad you are safe and enjoying your vacation. Last summer we had sooo many tornadoes and severe storms in Michigan it was just horrible. We thought we had moved to Oklahoma..:-) I am glad you are safe AND enjoying your vaykay.
Neece- Enjoy your festival. I will pray for you friend. Her life sounds like a bestselling novel. Someone who has been through so much doesn't deserve this too! i will pray for her.
Patty- Yes that Scan was awesome, anytime someone wants me to lay down with dims lights and soft music I'm in...wow that sounded perverted, but you all know what I mean.
Vicki- On the move yet?
Well for those of you who eat bunnies, and by that I mean the chocolate kind, Happy Easter!
I will post Monday or Tuesday about my ONC appt Monday afternoon....my itch is much less, but I still have flair ups, and my skin is better but not healed up, AND the achy ovaries I have had my whole life are back, but so is my sex drive, and the occasional pimples...so I am not sure I qualify for a post menopausal pill if my body was that quick to revert back to this state
One more thing, my very good friend at work was just diagnosed with a very rare form of cervical cancer yesterday, if you could send some positive thoughts and prayers her way it would be much appreciated.
Love and hugs
Barbara
-
Hello SOSisters....where is everyone? I'm missing all of you!
Barbara - Sometimes you have to draw back and look at the whole picture. I'm sure when I got my promotion I would have thought twice if I'd had a child still at home. As it is, I feel guilty when I work a night or weekend and leave DH home! I have thoroughly enjoyed my vacation which is quickly coming to a close. Got in some retail therapy, a pedicure, highlights, dog shots. Nothing terribly fun or exciting but worked for me. I hope you get great report from your onc on Monday. We will all be waiting to hear!
Happy Easter to everyone. Take care. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
Jane

Dearest Sisters....Wishing you all the most HAPPY EASTER!
Have been working TOOOO much & playing a lot too! Will catch up today but in the meantime, thinking of all of you & hoping your day is filled with sunshine (we had it yesterday so it's cloudy once again today!), chocolate bunnies & bright colored eggs, all celebrated with the ones you love!!!!
LOVE and ETERNAL LIFE!!!!

Yesterday went fine. I guess I have mild osteopenia, but I didn't tell the hubby, or anyone until you guys...he said it looked fine and to make sure my vitamin had 1000mg of Calcium and 1000 mg of Vitamin D....frankly my husband can't take anything else to worry about so I said what essentially the doc said, "scan looked pretty good, chemo and Tamoxifen can do a number on bones, so I'd like to rescan you in 3 years...please make sure you are getting adequate calcium and D" Husband is happy, and isn't getting all worked up....it is the best way to handle things... :-)
He said if my rash/itching was really Tamoxifen's fault my skin would be perfect by now, so I am off to a dermatologist, and then back to the oncologist at the end of June, with hopefully perfect skin, and I will re-start Tamox, since my blood work says I am not fully through menopause...which I figured throughout the last 6 weeks....less hot flashes, achy ovaries, and my sex drive is back....Being off my anti-cancer drug changes my re-occurrence percentage slightly, but according to my onc it goes back to the same percentage once the patient is back on it fully, also a bit of info I have omitted from telling...lordy all the stuff we do to ease people's fears..Other then that all is good. We are under a Tornado watch today, looks like spring' stormy weather is arriving early for Michigan.
This is an odd request but if any of you ladies log on this week and feel like it, the pet store I buy Mister Kittens food at is super nice and run by two really nice ladies, who even gave me a Christmas gift last year...anyway our local paper, which is all online is having 'The Best of Contest' each week and this week they are in the running for 'Best Pet Store': here is the link:
(Wags to Whiskers Saline) If you feel like voting they will surely appreciate it!
http://www.annarbor.com/bestof/contestants/wags-to-wiskers-saline/
Thanks ladies---love and hugs...I will keep you posted on what the dermatologist does

Hello all! I've just scanned posts, but will go back and read more thoroughly. After a couple weeks with no WIFI, I'm back online. Long story, but the last 2 weeks have been very... very.... yup. My MIL had heart attack (she's 84!), 4-way bypass and a minor stroke. She was moved to rehab on Sat. and doing pretty well. We made a trip to see her, but while doing so we lost our transmission (again) in our Suburban! We had to buy a newer, (less old), 3/4 ton Burb. It's working great, but took most of our savings!
We just got to Redding, CA (look on the map - Hwy 5 towards Oregon). We'll be here for a month and then we are planning to go to the Youth Ranch I was writing about in November! They are planning on us coming June 1 and hopefully DH will be teaching watercolor classes to the students. No pay, but big rewards!
It's good to chat again!!!
