Hi Everyone! I'm glad to see I am not the only one who hasn't checked in for a while. I hope everybody is doing great!

Dear SOS Sisters,
I feel awful realizing how long it's been since I posted. I want you to know that even though you haven't heard from me I think of you so very often. Life has been quite the roller coaster since about July. Jim has had all sorts of medical issues and is now home with a feeding tube. He had congestive heart failure, illius, Merkel Cell Carcinoma (stage 4) and is just barely making it.
We spent Thanksgiving and the 2 weeks after in the hospital. Jim had paralyzed intestines which meant we couldn't use the feeding tube and he lost 25 pounds before his intestines came back to life. Now we are just trying to maintain his weight. His cancer was on his bottom lip, it's very rare and very aggressive. He went through 7.5 hours of surgery and they removed about a third of his bottom lip. That was followed 6 weeks later by 6 weeks of radiation. He cannot swallow due to the radiation and therefore being feed via tube.
I have been on leave of absence since first of November, will go back this coming Monday. I wouldn't go back at all except I'm eligible to retire in July! Grandson who is doing online courses will be with Jim while I'm working.
VickiLynne - I have your letter sitting on my desk. I am so sorry I haven't responded. I hope that you and Don are doing well. Still in Kentucky?
Ronnie Kay - congratulations on your 4th year. I think that's a great reason to celebrate!
Patty - how are you? What are you up to these days?
Barbara - how are you? Did you have a good Christmas?
I hope all of you are doing well, my thoughts and prayers are always with you!

Hi all! Wow, it's been just over 10 years since I finished my final round of weekly Herceptin (ended August 2010), with my Chemo having begun 8/27/09. I hope you all are doing well through this pandemic and your continued recovery/health. Best thoughts and wishes to you all.
