Nancy, I'm beginning to wonder about the complex itself! Sheesh!!! BUT there's always a reason....can't wait to hear how it all goes!

Shiny, can't they do something less invasive first, like a CT scan? Seems like it might be a bit owie....SO proud of you getting it done ASAP!!!! Leaving it will just add stress. I thought it was the cardiac guy you were seeing this week...silly me Undecided. So what does it mean...a blockage? Like a hardening of the arteries in a heart? Do you use puffers now? Are you asthmatic? Can you imagine how good you'll feel when you can get the proper oxygen you need???? Woo hoo!!! Maybe even the scope can "remove" the blockage? That is a lot of news, not boring at all you silly goose, you! Keep us posted....

Shiny, bless your  little heart, you are NOT boring us!......i am just glad some progress is being made on your health status.......

Kathleen, as for the renovations, my toilets got clogged and overflowed big time!.........New carpets, new paint, new florring in kitchen and dining room....All done now!...And I got to purge!......I can actually see the floor of my closet after almost 19 years!...... When we were moving stuff out to pull up carpets my DH said it looked like I was a hoarder....Undecided....He's probably right in some ways...I really do hate th throw some things out.....Embarassed  Especially my crochet yarn....LOL...

I am sad to report that our dear Saint passed in the morning on March 30th.......Those who know her can post on her threads.........

Daaalings. This lemonette is back from hospital, in a fair bit of pain, due to what ever I have done to my back something or other. Had the Fiberoptic bronchoscopy. By is that more manageable with sedation! Nose is ticked off, as that is where they sent camera in from, lovely..Anyhooo, sedation really helpped. They took some samples but there were no obviously nasty bits. He think it may just be a kind of infection, so 3 weeks antibiotic, if I can stomac them, then return to see him for tissue results and check up. Hopefully that will be it on that front, we'll see.Tablets say "AVOID SUNLIGHT!"..I am going to the Island of Crete, in a week's time, so that will be hard to do.

Am still quite groggy from sedation and haven't slept in 3 days, my eyes are shutting, now if I could sleep. Got to go, too out of it.

Shiny, that news is only so so. Doesn't tell what is causing your symptoms....

The Isle of Crete????? The Greeks don't know about clouds! That's what my kidney surgeon says...I was there in February (years ago) and it was 75+.

Nancy I hope all goes well with apartment #3.

Shiny I'm really glad you are making some progress on your health issues and that nothing too nasty has been found so far. I hope those antibiotics do some good. Not sure how you will avoid sunlight in Crete though. I wonder if those tablets are ever prescribed for people who live somewhere sunny like that, and what they would need to do. Anyway please do keep us posted.

Oh Shiny, what a day you had!!!  Thinking of you lovey.

I've been AWOL from housework.  I cleaned the tub/shower and threw my back out.  At least I actually was doing something this time.  Last time it went out I was putting on my underwear.  Now I know two things to avoid, cleaning the tub and wearing underwear Embarassed.

    Dusty bun hugs to all.

    I totally agree, moving sucks!

Sharron, ok, will take your advice on board to avoid a repeat of this back thingy or other. As soon as it mends, no more underwear and no more cleaning the tub. Got it. Just rang out of hours doc to fax 30mg Codeine script to the chemist, runnig low ans do fancy some sleep sometime. DH is being a doll. I never got out of bed after returning home. We've kept my hospital tags on as a "joke", DH was about to cut them off and I said, "can I keep them on today to remind you all to take it easy with me? he he" he said"go on then, you can be a patient today". Think he's just releived we didn't find anything supa nasty. Got to go, my girl needs he mummy.

Oh,tomorrow I will be getting different kinds of eggs and planning the easter egg hunt for my 2 for Sunday. My girl made a "candle" with a cross on it, to remember the meaning around Easter, beautiful, but of course she is 6 so she is very much looking forward to the visit from the easter bunny. Must reming my DS about it, we'll make some baskets together tomorrow, for them to collect their eggs, so he can get excited about it. Kids, there are so brill.

Sending my peachy vibes to you all.

Sharon50 ... I really like your attitude!  No tub cleaning and no underwear, indeed!

Shiny ... wish you felt better.  Hope the find the cause and fix it.  Children make any holiday more enjoyable.

Lucy ... so  you're done?  Living in the midst of renovations is miserable.  I love when you get all new things.  I bet its beautiful.  I am a bit of a hoarder myself.  I am sure if I throw something out the next day I will need it and I usually do!

Nancy ... wishing you a smooth move - you have more than earned it!  I agree with Barbe, what could you have done to the blinds that you would be responsible for replacing them?

Shiny, here's a tip from Dr. Barbe, ask for oxy- IR next time. IR is instant relief (or something to that effect). You don't get quite as much codeine, but it hits your body way faster and you get to sleep...if you know what I mean...Wink

Barbe thank you! I shall look it up, to try to find the generic name for it, and also to see if any components are those that I am allergic too as am allergic to loads of meds.

Thank you. Hope you are in less pain these days. Sending you some of my "peachy vibes" they are not as strong as OXI-IR, but hopefully they give you a wee little lift.

Take care of you daaaaling. About to go "attempt" to book out seats for our visit to Crete. I suuure don't know how I will manage to "stay out of the sun" over there, like I want to anyhow. Wish me luck starting new Antibiotic tonight, am always a bit aprehensive, as new med is always at lest 50% chance of being allergic. Such a L E M O N E T T E.

    Happy Easter Dust Bunnies!

Yes the Easter bunny did come to our house, he was considerate and reminded the children to brush they teeth after enjoying some of his hidden treats they were to uncover. DD thaught that was funny that he thaught of that!  I said he must be a very kind but sensible bunny! They had made baskets the day before and there was a "note" as usual from the bunny this time to give them hints as to where to look.  My mother is arriving tomorrow a.m, so am trying to catch up with my housework and get the "guest bedroom, come homework room, come store room" back to  simply "welcoming guest room again" but first am having a little nap, having already cooked dinner and done loads of laundry. DD has made a beautiful "welcome back grand maman" sign. We'll be off to Crete on Friday with DH away from tomorrow until then, so buuuuusyyy lemonette Bee!

Thinking of Saint's Cinderella today also very much.

Love and best wishes to you all

    Hello,

I have been lucky enough to have been chosen for the Cleaning for a Reason program in my city.  They just finished two of four cleanings and I was wondering what any others have done as a way of thanks.  A card, a gift, I don't know ...guess I'm feeling like I should do something even though I know it is to help me out.  Maybe I should go with the flow of receiving of help and just enjoy and be thankful.  There are so many posts here I did not know where to start.

Glad to have my home clean all at the same time,  feel like I won the lottery!

     Thanks for any suggestions.

     Diane.

    Welcome Diane,

It is a new and different phase and definitely takes some getting used to to be on the receiving end of such generosity some times doesn't it. It's a lovely feeling as it fills you up with a warm feeling of gratitude. So yes, you might just want to say "thank you" and you've really made a difference, you made me feel like I've won the lottery!"as you said here. I know that they woould feel so glad that they had that impact on you. So that would be absolutely fine. If you feel up to mixing a batch of simple muffins, and when they leave just hand them over, they will be touched and probably hungry after the cleaning, so that might "go down" well also. BUT, stop and do remember to take it easy, and accept the help, bottom line, they want to help you to heal and rest, not to cause you to do more! They woudn't be doing this if they didn't see the worth of it, and understand that YOU could use a little break.

So enjoy, your brilliant house. And never fret when it is not "as you would want it to be", you need to take care of you, dust can and should wait for you to recoup, whilst you rest rest rest.

    Take care!

    Hi Bunnies!!!

Hope all of you had a wonderful Easter!

It's finally Spring here in the south. Our winter was a little colder than usual, but I'm afraid it's gonna be a hot summer....add the summer heat with hot flashes.......uuggghhhhh!!!

Hey Diane!!! I bet it's so WONDERFUL to have the cleaning service. I've heard of it before. Just be sure and NOT ever start cleaning again. We try to stay away from dust rags, vacuum cleaners, toilet bowl brushes, etc. Whenever you get the urge to clean, just pop in here and somebody will be sure to talk you out of it.....LOL. WELCOME!!!

Think about all of you often!

Shiny--thanks for the advice.  Great idea for food, your right they do work hard!

Barbe--I like your idea and it doesn't cost anything...other than some creativity. Our paper has a section for good deeds on Saturday that might fit, or the letters to the editor.

Coonie--thanks for the welcome sign.  I'll be sure to drop in when I get the urge to clean, which thankfully doesn't happen often.

Hi bunnies. I'm just beginning to "put-myself-back-together-again" having felt much like Humpty-Dumpty there for quite some time. Saint would not approve of me being glum, so in her honor I am attempting to put one foot in front of the other.

I thought you'd get a kick out of seeing how I spent my Easter weekend. I blathered on about the project on my blog, but basically took an old, weather-worn angel and gave her some restorative, Heavenly love -- in Pat's honor.

I know that she would have been proud of me for putting my sorrow to work. Now I have something 'of her' to treasure for always.

    xx00xx00xx00xx

Welcome Diane. You're amidst friends here.

The letter to the paper sounded brilliant to me. I'd be for sending them off with funny candy bars or something (that could be purchased) ready to go.

Love it love it love it.Faith, lovely fun lively funky Angel, full of fantastic spirit-Purfect.xxxxx Glad your doing the walk in the forward direction thing,go girl.

Diane, the girls are quite right. Muffins, even the simplest take more energy then you might be able to spare at the mo, ditch that one, and go with my other beloved dustbun friends, they are making more sense then me..not too sharp at present. I am known as the thread's queen lemonette (which means a bit broken all over but nothing too dire).

Loveys, am 1/2 way through preping visuals and scripts etc  etc etc for my darling DS in readiness for our trip to Crete, will have to do rest tomorrow as can't see when I get this past it enough to type! ohhh boy.. do send me your to p quality vibes so I get it all done whilst keeping the kids "looked after tomorrow". So much kit and organization and SEN stuff to think about to ensure a good trip. Oh and the biggest oh dear for DS is that looks like it won't be hot enough to swim, like last year, ohhh dear he lovesssss to swim, they both do, and it was what made the trip so relaxing and fun for all of us last year. I know I am being indulgent, but if you have a spare good vibe, send it my kid's way, they need and deserve this holiday to be relaxing and restorative.

love. (Am off Friday at the crack of dawn, so my not be back, sooo much yet to do, will be thinking of you all)

    hugs
