Last night I went to a fundraiser for a center that supports abused women. I ate lots of good food and boogied on the dance floor with my friends. Best of all I won the evenings lottery! $1000, baby! That should come in handy on our road trip!

Thanks for all the woo hoos!!! lol
Xpect..yeah baby I would love that cash in my pocket!!!
We had the grandkids last night...had fun with them. Their dad is away hunting and their momma went out with my sister and her cousin to a nice dinner and movie. They saw "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Renolds and loved it! Dd wants me to go back with her...told her I'd wait for the dvd and we'll have a gals night and watch it in our jammies...lol
Hope all of you have a blessed day....xoxoxo

As I was reading your latest post (which is hilarious, BTW Arnie) my sister got up. I must have had quite a night last night. With this horrible cold and having only three hours sleep the night before, I took a sleeping pill. I thought I dreamed Diane came and told me I had broken the toilet and that I should use her bathroom. When I awoke this morning the kitty kitter box was in the hallway along with a mop and bucket. I went into the bathroom where the tand had a large crack in the bottom. My sis told me I had gotten up to go to the bathroom, fell three times, once into the toilet cracking it, another time and a third time I fell out of bed. She has said that I had wet the bed which was why my sheets weren't on my bed! I hardily apologized to her but I think she is still mad. The water was pouring down into the hallway on the first floor. She had buckets down there to catch any water. All this after she worked 15 hours. So now the toilet has to be replaced and the ceiling has to to be replaced.
Here's my question (and I don't think Diane is in the mood to answer them): If I wet the bed why isn't any of bed clohes even damp? Where was I when she stripped my bed? I don't remember any of this. While I will never take a sleeping pill again - ever - it concerns me that after all her generousity I pulll something like this and that I have no memory of it. My God, maybe I belong in a nursing home - what would have happened if I'd tried to go downstairs - she could have found me at the bottom of the stairs, dead and wet. I am serious, I don't feel like I am in control of my body. Even this morning I am having trouble walking, typing, etc. Little by little I am losing control over my body and I am scared.
-
Yikes Kathleen...that is scary!!! I mean I've had the fainting spells but I usually do have some memory of them... I really don't think you're ready for a nursing home for goodness sakes but I would definelty talk to your sister and your doctor. I'm perplexed about where you were when she stripped and remade the bed too. There's a malady that I can't pronounce or spell right now where you loose all control when your blood pressure goes to low... I'm wondering if the sleeping pills did that to you??? I'm really concerned sweetie... do you want me to talk to your sister???
xoxoxo ((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))
-
All my sister said was NEVER take a sleeping pill again - when I looked up the pill its side effects include dizziness, loss of memory - for example, some people have been driving and in an accident and didn't remember a thing. What I did was get up to go to the bathroom (no memory) and fell and somehow banged into the toilet cracking the tank. Then she said I fell in the bedroom and finally fell out of bed which is when she said to stay there while she changed the bed (no memory). When she said I wet the bed and that's why she had me sleep on the other side while she washed the linens. I don't doubt her but I had the same nightgown on this morning and there was no stain on it or my underware. The pillows were stacked on the right side of the bed where they usually are - did I move them? I don't know. She also said I was in the bathroom and there was already an inch of water on the floor when she heard me fall so maybe that was why the bed was wet. I just have no memory. Its very scary - I'm just thankful I didn't decide to go downstairs.
-
Me too sweetie... it's quite the ordeal!!! I wouldn't take any more of those either!!! ((((hugs)))))
-
Kathleen, If you had wet the bed your mattress would have a stain too......I think she told you a tale about wetting the bed...Trust me I have wet the bed after taking a sleeping pil and my sheets were soaked and my mattress was wet too........If there was water on the floor before you fell, then you probably slipped in the water.....Something very fishy here, Kathleen.....Trust me if you ahd fallen hard enough to crack the toilet you would be in a world of hurt!...Especially with your bad shoulder.......I don't believe her for a second!.......
-
you can get an alarm - motion detector type thing to put across your doorway or the bathroom doorway that makes a noise when you pass by. I think Baby's r US or Toys R Us sells them. It might wake you up - it is often used for sleep walkers and if a child gets up in the middle of the night. Very scary. I am glad your sister was there and you did not try to go downstairs.
Last night I had 2 very vivid dreams about moving to a new apartment and I had taken no medication, not even vitamins. One was this very lovely place with 4 bedrooms, completely furnished including dishes and linens. The other one was the kind of place I would LOVE to find and move into - one bedroom, lots of closet space, all utilities included, safe, clean, convenient. My lease is not up until April, so why this dream now???
-
Kathleen, that is scarey!!!! I was wondering the same thing though as Lucy, wouldn't you be injured somewhere or bruised if you'd fallen and cracked the toilet? But having said that........maybe switch sleeping pills just in case.
Gentle hugs all you dusty buns.
-
((((Kathleen)))) girlfriend, I'm so sorry you're going through this. I'm thinking as the others are about banging in to the toilet. If it was that hard, surely you would have a mark somewhere on your body from that?? Now, as far as the sleeping pills.......I can attest to the memory thing with the sleeping meds. I have been known to talk on the phone
and not remember it the next morning. But......I try to be really careful now. I make sure I'm in bed, phone off, doors locked....and my DD and DH are here too. You should be careful taking them, especially if you're alone.
Hey you other bunnies!!! Sharon, Arnie, Lucy, Nancy, Cheryl..........looks like everybody else must be cleaning house or SOMETHING!! I sure HOPE not!! Hey Cheryl!! Congratulations girl on the money!!! WOWZERS!
Big hugs to everyone! Hope you all are having a great weekend! It's almost over

If there was a waterproof layer in the bedding, that could have protected the mattress. Some sleeping pills are known for people becoming active but still asleep with no memory of the events, so it is possible. Could the tank have cracked from being leaned against, like if you fell back asleep while using the toilet, or something other than your body hitting it, and when your sister heard you fall on the wet floor she assumed that the crack was the result of the fall instead of the cause? Remember, she was probably half asleep too through everything, and trying to piece it together from what she saw and heard.
I'm just glad that you weren't seriously hurt. Toilets are relatively easy to replace, and ceilings can be repaired, but people are difficult, if not impossible to put back together again, and you've already broken into too many pieces this year.
-
((((((Kathleen)))))) that certainly is scary but I don't think you are ready for a nursing home just yet. It sounds like the sleeping pill was to blame. I agree with you about not taking any more of them. Is there something less strong you could take? It is puzzling about the wet bed but maybe it could have come from the water in the bathroom. As to how the toilet got cracked, well that is another puzzle. As Lucy said if you fell hard enough to crack it I would expect you to know all about it by now with bruises at least.
Take care sweetie. xoxoxoxo

((((((((((Kathleen!))))))))))
-
(((((((((((((Kathleen)))))))))))) still thinking about you sweetie...hope you're feeling better today!
Texas, Kathleen, sending good vibes and thinking about ya!
To all you dustbunnies...hope you have a blessed day!
-
Thank you everyone for your support - I took an Ambien which I now know causes hallucinations and memory loss. I threw them out. I only took one in order to get some sleep - I have a crappy cold. Yesterday I was just really shaken. The loss of memory really scared me but I am okay - thanks, you put my mind at ease!
Arnie - you know I love Maxine - and ain't that the truth. I guess those women just use the dishwasher to "sterilize" the dishes.
-
Good morning, dust bunnies!.......Hope you all have a wonderful, housework-free day!.........
Kathleen, hope you are doing well today!........
-
Lucy - thanks - I am!
Faith - just visited your web site and you look fabulous in your dress - just adorable. Of course, the happy couple were beautiful. So glad you had good weather - can't wait to see more pics! That was a beautiful tribute to Heidi - so sad, so unnecessary that she had to leave us much to soon.
-
(((HUGS)))) Kathleen hope you had a better night glad you tossed those pills. When I have problems I simply take a gravol pill they work like a charm for me. I need Faith's website.
-
Faithie, oh my!....Words cannot express the joy I felt when I read your post on the wedding!......You described it so well I felt as if I was sitting right there!.......Thank you so much for sharing this amazing day with everyone!....This was only the second time i had visited your site and again it was just so amazing!........How can I get you booked for one of our local scholls here in Georgia?......I am sure all of the children and parents will be amazed at your work........I am just blown away myself!......LOL......Congratulations on a wonderful day!.........
-
Good morning Bunnies!!! Hope you all are feeling good today.....
Kathleen, I'm glad you're feeling better. I knew you weren't nursing home material just yet.....LOL. Ambien is known to have that side effect. I'm glad you've figured it out sooner rather than later.
Lucy, you're right about Faithie's website. I love to read it. I stalk her and KAK all the time....they are BOTH wonderful writers!!!
(((((((((((bunnies)))))))))))
-
What is KAK's site?.....I would love to read it too........I so love Faith's site ........I cannot imagine having so much fun with all those little ones......WhenI have that much fun I feel guilty for some unknown reason and end up sad in the end...Don't know why just do......
-
Hey Lucy,
Kak'S is
You'll love that one too!!
We sure have alot of great talent on these boards!!
-
Hey, Lucy! My blog is a lot more tart, shall we say, than Faithie's lovely blog, because Faith is a much nicer person than I am...LOL. But, if you dare, my blog is at http://www.accidentalamazon.com/ Also, there's a button on the right to my art site, for when you need a break from my polemical venting!!
Wait'll Faith starts posting wedding pix, which I just looked at on Facebook. Oh, 'twas a beautiful thing, and she has the most gorgeous two daughters anyone could have (who look like her but with blond hair), and the bride and mom-of-bride had the most fab dresses on, and the bride wore these kicking blue high heels, which of course, I loved!!
Kathleen, glad you're feeling better!
I had one of my total-collapse days yesterday, but slept a ton and woke up feeling refreshed today. We'll see how long it lasts. I am probably going to do my first infusion session in the fatigue study this Friday.
Coonie, I'm grateful for your stalking.
Have a lovely day, bunnies.
