Hugs to everybody else.
Here is my update for today taken from another thread:
Well, I had Taxol #4 of 12 today. My blood pressure and pulse were very high today. The clinical trial nurse and the chemo nurses feel that I am getting the drug because of the BP. After much debate and rechecking it (even the old fashioned manual way) they decided to hold the Avastin today. I did get the Taxol, but they decided the BP and pulse were too high to give it to me. The nurse was in contact with the trial and they agreed. They have upped the dosage on my BP meds and will give me the Avastin next week instead if the BP is down. My labs were good though and hemoglobin was up some. Best news of the day- I talked to the onc about radiation to verify for sure that I will not need it. He said I will definitely not be doing radiation!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!
Sweet dreams ladies! -
Is it toooooooo late for some thrilling news???
Big ANNOUNCEMENT of the day:
Our youngest daughter is now officially engaged!!
I know you Facebookers have been waiting patiently for me to get on here........
It's such a thrill.
He's such a terrific person...... and he's so very good for her & good with her.
They are so excited.
There's an even bigger story about all of the details of the nuptuals.
Suffice it to say: Hold on to your hats!!!
If I disappear for big chunks of time, know that I am smiling ear-to-ear!!

Good morning bunnies. Sending big hugs and prayers to everyone!
Thank you for your prayers for DH. He's doing great. I had my onc appointment yesterday and everything is perfect. The only instructions I got from my doc is MORE EXERCISE!! Sooooooo, no more excuses.......gotta get to walking! He's told me before if you put two breast cancer patients side by side and the one who does the least amount of exercise is the one most likely to have recurrence. Soooooooo, SURE DON'T WANT THAT!!! Fixing to start exercising like a mad woman. My sweet Canadian friend has said she would join me, so I won't be alone
Thanks Sharon!!! Oh, and thank you Sharon for hanging out in my back pocket yesterday. And for the visual images and I won't say what else in case the "border patrol" is reading.............LOL
Big hugs to you Linda. I've been praying for you and DH. Everything is gonna be ok. Just hang in there. I know you're worried and that's normal, but just hang on. I'll all be ok.
Jane and Jayne!!!!!!!!! My thoughts and prayers for you too. I'll be so glad when you guys see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Arnie!!!!!!!!!!! how was chemo yesterday? Are you feeling ok? No more passing out, huh? You better carry a cane or something with you just in case girlfriend:)
((((((((((((Kathleen)))))))))))))))) thinking about you too and sending you big hugs and prayers!!!
((((((((((((MaryRose))))))))))) counting down with you too!!!
((((((((((((((((((((hugs to everybody needing a hug)))))))))))))
Faithie!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations on the addition of a new son!!!! So exciting! I'm so happy for you and your family!!!
-
Jayne, I hope you made it through your tx without any major problems. Get some rest.
Faith, you always bring a smile to my face with your cheery attitude. We need more people in this world like you!
Coonie, great news from Onc. I have been told the same thing. Start walking, that's what I do. It's simple and you can do it anywhere. I also have a treadmill for those really hot days! DH made a table next to my treadmil and I have a TV and laptop on it. Keeps me on the treadmill longer, but I always make tons of typos if I post!
Have a great day everyone.
I actually vacuumed today! Don't tell!
-
Coonie, I walk too. I try for at least 2 miles a day (I walk about a mile in the morning, and a mile after dinner) in addition to whatever I would normally do. The dogs are always happy when I am able to find a walking partner and bring them along.
My secret for bad weather (too hot, too cold, rain etc.) is the local mall. I timed how long my walks usually take, and walk briskly around the mall for that length of time. I find that treadmills are too hard on my feet and knees to be a daily thing, so the mall(s), I have 3 within 15 minutes of the house, work for me. Some malls even have walking clubs that walk before the mall officially opens to limit the shopping temptations but I haven't been that ambitious yet.
((((((((((Hugs to all in need))))))))))
-
HEY EVERYONE, LINDA VACUUMED TODAY!!! Hope it didn't catch fire!
Faith, your daughter has your smile! Congratulations!
(((all my beloved dust bunnies)))
-
X- too funny!
-
I biked today.........past a field of herbs........hehehehehe.
-
Flash news alert!!!! I just wanted to announce that I walked 10 miles today!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, maybe not 10......ok, so, it felt like 10, but it was more like 1.5 miles.........ok ok....I know BIG difference. But it's a start:) and it felt really good. I'm gonna try to walk another 1.5 tonight once it gets cooler.
So Sharon......I bet it sure was relaxing riding out by the herbs, huh? I can just picture that.....
-
Can I get some of that basil for the sauce I just made???
Good for you for walking!!
-
Hey Sharon!!!!! Linda wants some herbs for her sauce. Can you mail her some? Go ahead and mail me some too, ok?
Linda.......it really did make me feel better to walk. Once it cools off, I think I can go even further. But the heat index here is 105 degrees and I can hardly breathe out there
-
I can only imagine! That's why I have a treadmill. The snow and freezing temps don't bother me but I HATE walking when it's hot and humid!! Have fun on your walk tonight!
