Mum, that is not my son, although I do have similiar pics of them eating their first bday cake.  That is Cathi's grandson Brandt.  She posted it a few weeks ago after his first bday.  He is adorable!!

Thanks for all the Brandt  compliments ,  he is our little MOOSE (gonna play football for sure),  he gave his mom lots of fits before being born and he still came a month early and weighed just a bit over 4 pounds -  yesturday he weighed in @ 25Lps,  DD was on bedrest for 2/months trying to keep him in place last year,  he wanted out though,  a few extra days in the hospital and he has been nothing but a "happy, smiling" baby ever sense,  the happiest baby I have ever seen.

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend,  I know I don't post much,  but always read,  and always praying for everyone EVERYDAY.

    XOXOXOXOXOXOXOX -Cathi

1982 ? I graduated college that year, was actually a very nice year. I was born in 1960, and proud of it! It actually is good to be born in a yr w/ 0---easy math figuring out how old I am. Laughing

Next yr I'll be 50 and planning BIG party. Keep calendars open, you are all invited. As soon as I figure out the date I'll let you know (FOR REAL)

    Have fun at the zoo

I took this picture at a local zoo last year. A new baby! See how much taller mom is....

Then mom 'came down' to see what I was doing (I was about 50 feet away)...

One year at church we had something called "secret sisters" Those who wanted to participate were given a "sister" for the year. We sent cards to our sister, gave them little gifts, etc. and prayed for them specifically throughout the year.

Hey ladies, Got a little surprise this morning. Phone rang about 7am as I was rushing out the door to get to work on time and dragging the girls along as daycare was closed today. We were told we had to work and one of my sales guys was calling to say we received an e-mail saying all non-commission personnel were off today! Wooooo Hooooo! So I just ran in and did payroll and now I am off for the rest of the day and don't have to go back until Monday late morning. Have been shopping already this morning and girls are down for a nap so it's ME TIME!

Tomorrow we are going to a friends to swim and grill and then head out to the fireworks display.

    Happy 4th to everyone!!!!!!

Chiming in..... wishing everyone tons-of-fun for the Fourth!!

Sun has returned and I had a glorious bike ride. Will add pics to FB later tonight I hope.

Just got off the phone with DD2, who is Maine for the summer..... she's been freezing ever since her arrival. LOL. She was in extremely good spirits and had 3 delightful bits of happiness to report. The one bit, is that her chamber ensemble has been selected to play their piece for the Maine Public Radio and will be recorded on Monday. So she's a happy camper!!

I heard from DD1 earlier this morning, that she twisted her DH's arm and they've packed their minivan to the gills and have decided to suprise my parents in FL for the fourth..... a mere 16 hour drive away..... could be 24 hours?? One is never very efficient when traveling with little ones.

Now you are ALL SWORN TO SECRECY!! No one is to call my parents and let them know of the impending arrival. My parents will be thrilled, but DD has no idea yet where their little family of 5 will be laying their heads -- she says they'll figure that out when they get there????

    How do you spell adventure?

I'm happy that both of my kiddos are 'happy' at the same time!!

    xx00xx00xx

    hugs for those in need......

Yes, that will make me the HAPPIEST..... if we can pull this off.

Starting a real count down now.

After three summers of getting our teeny-tiny little place more & more together, we just finished one of our long post-poned projects ...... all motivated by the arrival of Mr. & Mrs. Saint.

Assembled a large cupboard of sorts -- to store all of the nonsense from fishing, and computers, and coolers, and tool boxes etc etc etc.....

So our second bedroom can actually accomodate anyone who wants to stop thru. It's equipped with a pop up trundle bed, so can easily sleep 2, now that the nonsense is stored efficiently outta the way. hint-hint-hint-hint.

First we must welcome the Saint family...... then just let me know and I'll get it ready for any dust bunnies needing a change of scenary.

Happy 4 th of July my USA Dust bunnies!!

It is 25 minutes until 4th July here in England, so, If any of you can't wait to start celebrating, you can get going in 24 minutes and say it's "the british celebration of the American 4th of July" or something... somehow, I don't think some of you will need much persuading hehe.

I will be volunteering tomorrow at the annual school barbeque, so might not "get on here" so.. just so you know, I WILL BE THINKING OF YOU ALL "ME DARLINGS"!

    All my best.

ps: Super lovely suprise for your parents Faith, lovely!

Yikes it was hot here today!!! 102 in the shade with a heat index of 108. And not a rain cloud to be seen. We began mandatory water rationing today and all aerial fireworks are banned for the 4th. We had a huge grass fire near our airport today which is just a hop and a skip and a highway from our house so DH went and bought several more water hoses just in case we have to water down. I am absolutely terrified of fire!!!!!

Not much of anything gets to me but I sometimes have nightmares of fire. Maybe because both of my younger brothers were badly burned as children. Was a terrible thing and I have never been able to forget the horror of visiting them at Shriners Hospital and seeing all those poor kids.

Anyway hope it rains here soon. Nothing is green except my neighbors yard. I saw him spraying something on it this morning and came home and it was all green. Don't have a clue but I think he painted it.

bkc-if I could give you some of our rain, I would. We have had a damp, rainy and dreary spring/summer so far. Too much rain which means not enough sun! Over 100 inches of snow last winter and with summer starting off on a wet note makes me not a happy camper!

But you are right, dry, parched conditions are no joke. Stay safe and I hope you don't have to use the hoses (except maybe to run thru the sprinker!).

    Happy 4th!

Happy 4th to all.   Today (it is still the 3rd) I wore myself out.   Did 4 loads of laundry and it is just me, myself and I here - not even any pets.   Went to my DS and DIL and installed 2 deck railing plant holders, repotted a butterfly bush and planted 2 window boxes of flowers.   Then we went out for an early dinner or "linner" as we call it.   I had to go to bingo early birds and won twice.   My pillow is calling me, so I say nitey nite to my ((((((( friends ))))))))).
