Hey ladies,
Have been trying to read back but you girls are just to busy. Have had company all weekend and they finally left Tuesday so didn't want to be rude and tell them to vacate my office\ guest room so I could check in on the girls. That's what my DH just came and asked. "So how are your girls doing and how much have you missed?"
My sons best friend and his girlfriend have been here and finally left yesterday. This young man has been my sons best friend since pre-k and he lived more at our house than he did at home. He is now 19 and in his 2nd year of college and a really good kid. His gfriend on the other hand is like a fingernail on a chalkboard. Wore me out but he loves her or thinks he does so I guess that's what counts.
My brain is tired so I think I'll give it a little rest. Early morning so will check back in when i'm not so tired. Hope everyone is doing well.
-
Oh forgot to ask. Texas where are you in Texas? I'm very near Victoria which is about in the middle between SA ,Houston and Corpus. My adult kids are in SA so go there all the time. And my DH Uncle is near Dallas so go there a few times a year.
-
Ooh! It was so much fun getting everybody's "friend" requests on Facebook!
My cleaner came today. My kitchen looks wonderful. The living room is ok. I haven't been upstairs yet, but dd said nothing was done in the bathroom. DH didn't notice anything other than that the floors were wet when he got home. I still see some cobwebs here in the living room, but it's ok. It's better than it was, so I'm happy. Maybe it'll give me a little incentive to peck away at the rest of the stuff that needs to be done

Hi Julz!!!! Hi bkc!!!! Hi Arnie!!!! Is Mr. Arnie really feeling okay to go back to work? I hate it when docs shrug & say they don't know what's going on. Yikes.
EWB, I am sooooo slow getting cards out to anybody, but I'll message you on FB about sending cards to your mom.
Hugs to all.
My birthday is April 10 but I could always celebrate my birthday-and-a-quarter on July 10!!
-
Hey everybody!
Just a quick check-in before bed time. I had a nice day today. We were going to see The Proposal, but my wbc are supposed to be low right now so we decided to avoid the crowded movie theater. Instead my sister took me over to my mom's and we just visited. Went out to lunch but food tastes so awful to me right now. My taste buds are gone. Anyway, it was a nice day and feeling much better than I did Monday and Tuesday.
bkc- I'm in the Temple area. I have been through Victoria many times on my way to the coast.
Hope all our Canadian sisters had a great day today!! One year we were in Banff on Canada Day and enjoyed the parade so much. We had so much fun that day!
Hugs and prayers to all!!
-
Good morning everyone. It is a warm and sunny one here in the UK.
Julz I have not long got up but that bed certainly looks inviting. Thanks for the water too, so far I am remembering to drink lots, the heatwave is helping with that.
Arnie I'm glad you are feeling better and that Mr Arnie is going back to work.
Mary I'm pleased to hear you had a nice day and that you are feeling better now. Hang in there and look after yourself.
Hugs to all my dust bunny sistahs.
-
Mornin' dusty-buns....
(Wasn't that clever?? Tee-hee)
Yes I'm easily entertained.... Even inthe midst of a hot flash. LOLOL -
Good morning bunnies! I'm up early this morning, drinking warmed up leftover coffee from yeasterday.
Maybe I'll take a nap now...
-
Morning bunnies........hope nobody does any housework today. It'd be ashame to get in trouble the day after Canada Day.......AND........with two birthdays coming up. We celebrate the whole month when there's just ONE birthday, so with two.......well, I'm guessing that's two months no housework, right?
(((((((((((hugs everybody)))))))))
Oh Yeah.....we've gotta celebrate Elaine's mom getting out of the hospital, and Shiny's good news.........so that's two more months!!!
-
Coonie!!! lol
-
Excellent idea Coonie! We all get the summer off!
Crazy thunder and lightening here today. I get nervous being on the computer so I'm signing off for a bit. I haven't even showered yet because of it.
Hope you are all feeling well today. Treatment is difficult! Mary, you sound great!
Linda
-
Jayne- How are you doing? Didn't you start chemo this week? I hope you have an easy time of it. Which regimen are you on? Hugs!!! We'll get through it.

Oh Julz......I hate it when that happens. Or, I'll have a big post typed, try to go back a few pages to see who I've missed, come back to my post and it's GONE!!!!! Now that really gets my goat.
Linda.....do you live under a dark cloud? I sure wish you'd tell it to move south for awhile. We got rain one day this week, but not near enough. It's so hot and dry. Today's temp is going to be 101 degrees with heat index being 105 degrees. VERY HOT and HOT.....did I say VERY HOT??!! Well, it's VERY VERY HOT!!
Anybody seen Mom today? I hope she's mending well with her tooth problem.
BKC.....I know you were glad to see your sons friend. Guess he's the one who's gotta live with the girl though......and if he likes/loves her, well......LOL
VIV....thanks for keeping up with the future for us. It's always good to know somebody's gone before us:) Don't work too hard.
Faithie....sure hoping you're enjoying Paradise. The weather sounds perfect. Wish I could be there. Of course, I wouldn't be able to keep up with you, but I could just watch
Hey Jane.....you oughta make a list for the cleaning lady. If you're paying, she needs to do her job. Not to be ugly or anything, but I expect it to be done (all of it).....
KAK....so good to see your beautiful smile:) We'll celebrate with you again on 7/10. I think that's a good idea....we could all celebrate all of our birthdays on the day each month.....hey, we may NEVER have to do housework again!
MaryRose.....I don't blame you about getting in crowds, etc. I became a hermit during chemo. I didn't want ANYTHING getting me off my treatment schedule. I was lucky and never got a cold or anything. Just keep it up and you'll be through before you know it.
Jayne....how are you feeling today? It usually hits you about the 3-5 days. Or at least, that's when it hit me. So, just beware and don't worry if it does. Sometimes it just takes a few days. And if they have you steroids, they'll start wearing off too.
Cheryl....dear.....why don't you make a fresh pot of coffee? If I could post pics from work, I'd post you a nice steamy cup.
Arnie.....good idea with the birthdays. We should all get together at least once a year and celebrate everyone's birthday. We could have cake and ice cream! And then food fights:) Hope you're feeling ok and Taxol isn't bad on you. Thinking of you and Mr. Arnie today. I know you'll miss each other.........or, are you glad to have some space?
Hey Nancy.....how are you doing today? Hope you're having a good day. You seem to be so positive. That last Herceptin is coming up soon!!!!! That's a good day to pah tee!!!!!!!!! When do you get your port out?
Elaine.....how's mom doing today? I know she's so glad to get home. There's just no place like home. Give her hugs from the dustbunnies.
Cathi.....thought of you this morning girl. I saw a little doggie in the paper that looked just like Margo....all 6 lbs of her:) Hope you're having a good day too!!
Hey my sweet Canadian friend ((((((Sharon))))) sure hope you're feeling good today. I gave Lucky some sugars from you......he liked them too
.......he gave you some back.....LOL
Thinking of everyone.......Shiny, Lursa, 2new1s, Kathleen, Lori, Mumayan, Merilee,......hope I didn't leave anyone out. Chemo brain blockage sometimes.
(((((((((((big hugs to all my bunny friends)))))))))
-
OK.......I just KNEW I would miss somebody so I'm never doing this again.....LOL
Deb-Ohio, Barbe, Estepp..........I LOVE YOU GALS!!!! Surely didn't mean to miss you on purpose. If it's not right in front of my face, everything is just a big blur.........for real.....
And since I'm still trying to think.......I have been missing Dejaboo, Suzie.......
OK.......no more listing. You know I love you ALL!!!!!!!!!
-
Coonie we all love you for making the effort to get to everyone, its just grown so large no one can keep track of everyone. Believe me I've tried and obviously many times failed, but I think most of us realize the internet has its limitations and just enjoy the chat time we do get to spend here. So don't take all that responsibility on yourself cause it will weigh you down and we don't want that. So I missed that morning cup of coffee this morning and that donut, but may just have to have a big old tall, icy cyber coke if I can find one.
-
Yes, Coonie, I do live under a dark cloud. We got 2 inches of rain yesterday and 3 more this morning. It has been crazy! My pool is literally overflowing. Kinda makes me mad I paid $500.00 to have water delivered this spring!
Julz, I hate when that happens!! I loose a lot of posts for some reason. The internet cuts out for a split second and it's gone! Maybe that's what's in those big red boxes that I post.
Moms right! As usual!!
-
OK Mom........you're the mom and I'm gonna listen and obey
It is so nice to have everyone. I enjoy every post so much.
OK Linda.......especially that coke!!! Yummo.....I'm at work. Called my DD begging her to bring me an Icee.....she's doing homework and said she couldn't come now. I'm craving an icee.......a coke icee. Maybe with some salty Lays potato chips
-
-
Awwhhhh PERFECT Linda........thanks!!!! Just what I needed to get me through the rest of the day:)
-
Coonie, I just had hubby bring me a bag of Lays chips home last night. Have you ever tried them dipped in ketchup? Just sprinkle pepper on the ketchup and scoop it up. It taste so good, not sure why since I'm really not that much of a ketchup fan.
Linda thanks for the cold coke. Now all I need is a big old piece of ripe watermelon to hit that spot
-
Popcorn anyone?
-
Hi everyone
I have felt pretty good today and I went to my work team-building day. I had a really good time, saw lots of my colleagues, enjoyed the warm sunshine and got some gentle exercise. We don't do anything too strenuous on these occasions and you are free to opt in or out of activities. Some people were getting there in the morning but I warned them that I would probably show up around lunchtime. We all took food & drink to share for a picnic lunch. Then we split into smaller teams for a quiz. Some people played rounders, but I sat that one out. We did a barefoot walk where you walk over different surfaces such as bark chippings, pebbles, sand, through water and mud. Sounds strange, but our feet felt fantastic afterwards. We went for a walk round the lake and stopped for an ice cream.
Arnie I drank lots and lots of water and I did get some rest sitting in the shade and chatting to colleagues. I have done absolutely no housework today. I really need Julz's housefairy and to teach my cats to vanquish dust bunnies like the cutie in the pic.
Mary yes I started my chemo on 1st July. I am doing FEC-T, 3 rounds of FEC followed by 3 rounds of Taxotere, all 3 weeks apart. This sounds like the same regimen Shiny did. I am feeling OK so far, but they gave me steroid tablets to take for 3 days, so as Coonie said it could hit me harder once they wear off. They also gave me anti nausea tablets and they are working so far. I have never had so many different drugs to take. It's very early days for me yet but it's always good to know that others have been through it and are getting through it now, even if it does have its ups and downs.
Mom I hope your tooth is not giving you any more trouble.
I have also lost posts by going back to check on what people are doing, very frustrating.
Hope everyone is doing well (((((Hugs to all)))))
-
((((((((((((Jayne))))))))))) hope you do well even without the steroids. As for the tooth it is still very tender especially when I chew so I'm hoping it will calm down soon.
