Wowowowowowow
We did it!!
Frog legs for all.....
The road has opened up again.
Progress.
My phone battery's starting to fade:
Can ya hear me now?
Can ya hear me now?
I'll sleep easier knowing we're on page 200!! -
Congrats Coonie!!! 200 woooooooo!! and whop whop!
Deb hang in there girl. it's a chore and a bore, but keep creaming up with the best stuff and keep on top of your pain meds. Thinking of you. hug
Arnie, chemo day.. thinking of you. You on Docetaxeol now? The finger pain for me was very intense but it faded loads after the first few days. Maybe it was the top dose cause not everyone gets it. Am here if you need more long distance hugs. Thinking of you. Hope your hubs feeling better and getting to the bottom of his medical issues.
EBW, so nice for your mom that you are nearby, bringing something new each day, lovely daughter you are.
Makraz, I liked your bursts of red too, very invigorating, but you and your family look good, glad you shared. I don't feel I am on top of things yet enough to go and master photobucket. Big charity bbq on Sat at the infant school, am face painting little smunchkins faces and helping generally. Always so fun. We are having a heat wave, as some of you can see from Wimbledon..
Barbe, glad you said that about reading it and then you get to reply and it's a muddle, sounds like I am not alone on that now! Where were you last night when I needed telling off to go to bed!
Sharon Barbe and all other Canadians, please have a "bloody Ceazar" for me tommorow, and think of me, the Canadian in England. I shall send you extra vibes for fun celebrations!! We'll wear Canadian maple leaf stickers to school I think, although my kids are british, they have plenty of me in them!
Faith, keep going girl and thanks for the thaughts. xx
Mom, glad you sorted that tooth, without pain too! Beautiful girls BTW.
Jane good luck with your 1st Chemo!
xxxxxxxx Bless you all.

Today Mom had beef broth, tea (in a bunny cup), yellow jell-o, icky melted lemon Italian ice, and red juice. She was thrilled! So funny, went running into her room when lunch was served since she had late breakfast didn't think she'd get lunch. Nurses are getting a kick out of her. Feels so much better w/o the tube, so good to see her spirits up again and like my good ole mom (affectionately know as GOM when younger, with Dad being super dad). Today I brought her my old bunny cup (Bunnykins Royal Dalton set I had as child), The Devil Wears Prada book (today was choice day so she also had option of biography of Queen Victoria and book of poems), two newspapers and some cds of classical music. It has actually been fun coming up with things I think she'll like to bring in. Sort of a chance to pay back/pay forward all the lovely things she's done for me over the years.
Hugs to everyone. I am going to try and figure out posting tonight and tomorrow (don't hold your breath, no promises made
)

EBW,
Just a wee thought, Do you think there is anything from here in England your mom might fancy?
Have a think, honest, if you think of something fun or not toooo heavy she might like, I'd be happy to post it to you, to tickle her fancy?
I would have loved to be able to visit my Dad regularely.. I fully appreciate what you are saying about treating her and wanting to fuss over and just be there for her and enjoy her.
Just PM me if you think of anything or if you want leave it to me to think of something.

How sweet! Thank you for your kind offer, if I think of anything I'll let you know. Post cards from different places would be lovely if anyone is interested?
-
Sounds good,
Do you mean address to her and sent to your address or hers?
Or do you mean sets of post cards for her to use when sending out to her friends?
I can do both? Just pm me details of what you'd like and consider it done.
Hug

Hi Ladies, Shiny has given me a great idea....if any one is interested, would love to have a postcard sent to Mom from where ever you live/ favorite beach, whatever strikes you. She loves to travel and see new places, meeting people. Might be a nice pick-me up for her. I will pm my address to anyone interested..
-

Oh Shiny.....it's always good to see your post. And you've come up with a great idea for EWB's mom. I'll send you a PM Elaine. I'd love to be included on making a mom happy.
Speaking of Mom......I'm so glad your tooth is fixed!! I know you are too. And hey, I'd never noticed your bra showing until you mentioned it.....hehe......now I gotta go back and look.
Arnie!!! I been thinking about ya girl. Hope that Taxol went ok today. Hope you can give us an update soon. I do remember the thing about the fingernails.......mine were two toned the whole time I was taking treatment, but they're 'bout back to normal now......just a little more brittle, but nothing bad at all.
Thinking of Lursa and Kathleen and MaryRose and 2new1s too. Hope you all are feeling ok.
Jayne, don't you have your 1st treatment tomorrow? I'll be sending you hugs and prayers. The quicker you start, the faster you're done.
OK.....I did get alot done today.......don't say anything to our Canadian friends, but I did a good bit of cleaning today. Just had a spurt of energy and had to gitter done.
Safe travels Faithie!!! Hopefully, you're almost back to Paradise. Rejoicing over the good news this morning.
Deb......sorry about your radiation burns. I didn't have to go through that, but it sure sounds painful. Hope you can get some relief soon.
Much love to all you gals........(((((((((((((huggies too))))))))))

Awesome new dust-bunny project. I still have your address somewhere Elaine --
How shall we adress them? Send your mom's name.
We're north of Milwaukee, have had dinner and have about 2.5 hours to go.
(This was a much more efficient trip when DH flew us directly -- over Lake MI. Alas we need the truck when we're here for these lovely chunks of time.)
Plan to spend the whole month of July....then will return to my fun-work-play-travel. -
Hey Gals,
Internet hasn't been working. It's been raining every day here...not a bunch, just an afternoon shower but it's enough to mess up my ISP. As I've told others, it quits working when it gets wet...GRRRR!
I did want to thank you all for your advice on the bone pain. I called my onc and his nurse got back to me right away. She didn't say anything about claritin, tho I have heard of that before. She had the Dr write me for percocet (I know that's spelled wrong...sorry). I have to say, this is the 1st time in my life that I've taken pain killers and it REALLY knocked out my pain. I am giddy.
Again, thanks for all your advice & concern!
xoxo

Hey gals...it's me Arnie...lol After a three hour nap....I feel pretty good! Not like Mr. Froggy up there in the left hand corner, but really not to bad. Do not have that horrible heaviness in the tummy like I had with the "red devil". A little woozy and a bit tired but really surprised... thanks for all the prayers.
Faith...have a nice dinner and then paradise!
Mom... so glad to hear that your root canal went better than expected!
Shiny...so glad to see you sweetie...thanks for the prayers from across the sea
Just think if vivygirl wins the lotto and has us all over...we'd have a blast!!!! lol The bbq on Saturday sounds like fun... I call my little grandbabies munchkins...gonna have to add the "s" and see what Trent says...lol. Think of you often girlfriend...
EBW... I'll pm you for your mom's address...sounds like a wonderful idea! Those of us that have mom's who have passed on can adopt her
Deb...I have 3 more chemo to go then I'll start the rads and have to glean info from you...hope the burning stops for you... ((((((hugs))))
Sharon...love the froggy with the mop and bucket...hehehehe
Linda....how blessed you are to have such a large beautiful family...makes me smile...
(((((((((((hugs to everyone else))))))))))))) as Julz would say....from A to Z (((Hi Julz))))
-
Arnie- she would be pleased to be a stand in Mum...she is an amazing lady. Thank you. Good to hear you are feeling a bit better. Hugs to you and Mr Arnie.
Lursa very nice to see you! I also have percocet for break thru pain and it works well. Took me a long time to accept pain meds and it has made a big difference day to day. I feel like I am able to enjoy each day more and be more present in my life. Thats good, otherwise why am I doing all this stuff?
Hugs to everyone!
-
Lursa ((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) hope the percocet helps! I did take a Claritan, zantac and Alieve last night and will continue to do so... learned that from the gals on the Taxotere thread... I just had the Taxotere today soooooooooo don't know if it helped or not...we'll see. I won't hesitate to ask for something stronger if the pain rears it's ugly head. So good to hear from you!
-
G'day all.
Didn't win the lottery so you will all have to have these virtual red boxes.
Please enjoy
Viv
-
Oh cool........can we take our pick? I'll take red
-
Thank you thank you thank you
Vivy -- what a winner!! -
Gertie our GPS says we're now 13.4 miles away
I could ride my bike from here -
Well Faithie.........to save on gas, you oughta get out and push Mr. Faithie the rest of the way home. You could do it with all those muscles you've built up lately.......hehe
-
Don't know if this is close, but it's the only pic I could find for Wisconsin....
-
Yay Linda, you did it! I see an actual picture! I'm so proud of you!
Arnie, good luck with this round of chemo.
Faith, I'm happy about your mamo results. I will get my first post-diagnosis mamo next time I see my breast surgeon.
Mom, I am glad you had no pain with the root canal procedure.
Deb, I'm so sorry about the rad burns! I didn't need to do rads since I had a mastectomy.
I just worked a long busy day today; but, now I've got 3 days off! I'm up for a party!
-
Faith - whoo hoo on the mam!!!
See my teeth - this is what my hair really looks like, too.
-
Hey, honey bunnies!!! I'm delighted to be posting on page 201, at 6000 'results' as the site calls posts!!! Wow!
Sharon & Barbe, Happy Canada Day!
Linda, great pix of the party. So glad you had a good time.
Jane!!! Are you Jane Murphy in Rochester? I tried to find you before but found a zillion Jane Murphy's. ROFL on the photo!! Those chemo side effects are really scary, huh???
Speaking of chemo, ((((((Mary Rose)))))) ((((((Arnie)))))))
Cheryl, PM me about FB, too!!
Love that Deb & Faith & Mom caught up with each other. Mom, you gotta join Facebook now! Deb, you look wonderful to me in your photo!! I'm sorry about the rads, though. Rads can be tough. Silvadene is great & it's one of the things they gave me. Also, I got a gel coldpack covered in this soft, flannel-like stuff & put it on my burned boob & armpit. AHHHHHHH!!! Relief! Only thing that took the swelling down when my armpit blew up (it did go down after a few day...).
(((((((((EWB))))))))) (((((((((Lefty)))))))))) (((((((((((((Shiny))))))))))))
Mom, beautiful family!!
Lursa & 2new1's, great to see you both!
Faith, I love that dress you're wearing in the photo with our two other sistahs!! And YAY on the mamm!!
Hugs to Coonie, too, just because you're you!!
XXOO to all.

Kathi - Look what I found for you!
I'm Jane Murphy from Millerton, NY (Poughkeepsie area). My e-mail address is jmmatnwo@yahoo.com
-
Faith, great news about the mamo!! Of course you could ride your bike the 13 miles, I could too....well the motorcycle, not my bicycle!
Thanks for all the praise about my NOT posting a red box. I must admit I still haven't quite figured out photobucket, but I will.
Cheryl, would love to have a party with you! And all our other friends from BCO.
Miss you all. The kids are running me ragged! I have so little time for the 'puter now! I will continue to check in when I can.
Welcome back Lursa!!
-
Jane,
I looked you up on FB and couldn't find you. Did others find you?
Linda -
Jane, when I typed Jane Murphy of Millerton, I got a zillian Janes & no one from Millerton. Are you on a specific network? Is there a Poughkeepsie one? I'll try that. Oh, LOL on those shoes!! Yikes!!
Hi, Linda! The kids end up with you because you're the nice mom with the pool who's willing to sit there & watch other people's kids!!
-
Try using my e-mail address - jmmatnwo@yahoo.com. I'm on the Poughkeepsie network (I think)
