Happy Canada day to all my fellow Canadian dust bunnies (I am Canadian too, but the extent of my celebrations here were in the form of 3 fun little Canada Flag stickers that the children and I wore all day today; Well, they are 1/2 Canadian but it gave them a chance to go INTO school with a fun sticker on their uniform instead of having to wait until they get them for being good from teacher. Mind, they always come back with Stickers on, gooooood kids.
I don't do full on stress odten, but the last 24 hours!!
1- The Royal Post could not find confirmation of my super de duper important last set of papers for the tribunal for DS's SEN. (eventually found them)
2- Then Tribunal services "didn't see" our formal request sent well within the deadline (june 12th) for an early hearing which was going to be granted, space allowing if we met that deadline. I emailled all from Canada when back for Dad's funeral, so I do remember! (again, after me sending it all back and emailled receipt conf from them, ohhhh they found it, BUT, they were not accepting any new requests for early tribunals for the summer. I asked them to investigate and get back to me in writting, and 3 hours later... they found us a space, magine that! eyyyyhaaaa!!
OMG, so Tribunal is set for 10th July!
Sorry, borring I am sure but ladies, this IS my life a whole lot of the time. Can't wait, but fist much more paper work.
I am going to NOT answer the phone tomorrow a.m and try to chillllll. Then, loads of housework for inlaws 24 hour visit.

Well done!!, now no more)

I want to PM julz, but can't seem to find how to do that without clicking on 1 of her posts, and don't know how to find one unless I go through a bunch of pages? Can we "search" for memberes anywhere? Sorry, I have always just done it on the spot frrom a current post and don't know how, still a PM novice!

We have just returned from our outdoors adventure. My oh my what a ride we had. I'm telling you if we all get together here we will have to take the canoe trip as a group. Actually we wound up going on a raft so all four of us could ride together. It was so funny at first trying to get coordinated and learn which way we'd go when one paddled or the other. Talk about team work! One time we got stuck in the middle of this little run of rapids in the middle of the creek, trapped in the rocks. That took some effort. Saw some beautiful scenery and oh, the quiet, how wonderful. You kind of learn too, that when the waters start running rough you can't just drift along, letting the current pull you where it wants, you have to put some effort into it and start rowing with purpose. So much like how life is for alot of us these days fighting bc. We just have to row a little harder through the rapids. The good thing was the quiet waters were always just ahead.

Hello everyone
I hope you are all enjoying Canada Day.
Deb I have voted for your friend to win the tractor. Very sorry to hear you are fried. At least you have a few days off now to recover.
Thanks for all the good wishes for my 1st chemo. It went well and I am feeling good so far. Nick was with me and we went for lunch afterwards. If I still feel OK tomorrow I plan to go to a team-building day with work colleagues.
Shiny you have had a lot of stress over the last 24 hours. Well done to you for sorting it all out. Not long now till 10th July! Hope it goes well for you on the day.
Sharon thanks for the info about Canada Day.
Sorry to all I have not mentioned by name, I am thinking about you all and reading your posts.
(((((Hugs to all)))))

Oh mom, the canoeing sounds very fun! We are tight on money this summer (thanks to BC and chemo) so we are planning on doing small stay-cations,too. There are canoe trips on the shenandoah river that would be fun!
Deb, I voted! Good luck to your friend.
I pulled some weeds along our front walk this morning. It looks very good; but, I probably did too much for the muscles around my new boobs. I started to cramp afterwards, Ouch! I guess I shouldn't do anything more today.
-
Mom we posted at the same time. I love that image of rowing a little harder through the rapids and especially the quiet waters ahead.

Jayne

Shiny- Things will work out perfectly because 10 July is my birthday and only good things are allowed to happen on my birthday!
I am hopeful that there is now hot water. Thank you all who have offered to send postcards to my Mom. She is now out of hospital and home this afternoon. I will check on her tomorrow, but think she well on her way to full healing, I think she will get a real kick out of all the postcards, a good pick-me up.
Hugs to everyone, prayers for relaxation, no stress, easy treatments, happy holidays and hot water
