It's Canada Day July 1st (tomorrow). Today is the eve of Canada Day.
But also Arnie is getting chemo today
so nobody can do housework as we'll all be going with her to keep her company.
Great pic post Linda, I'm impressed. Still (sigh) they were lovely red boxes.
-
Thanks Sharon. YEs that's Mom and Dad. I still haven't figured out photobucket but will fool around with it later. I just uploaded to photobucket and copied the thumbnail for the above pic.
These are some of my nephews and my kids.
Don't worry, the box will return!
-
.......and no housework 'cause Mom has to get her tooth fixed. We'll split up so some can go with Mom and some with Arnie. Who wants the noisy ones?
-
Oh Arnie, I hope you have minimal side effects today. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. If you are truly feeling down in the dumps and need a good laugh, I will start posting big red boxes again, just for you! Take it easy and get some rest.
-
Mom, good luck with your root canal today. Get some good novacaine!
-
Thanks guys!!! Mom ((((((((((hugs))))))))) will be thinking of you and praying for you today!!!
Linda... great pics!!! Atleast what you're doing is working...you'll have to throw in a red box every once in awhile just for me...lol
Where's Coonie??? Sleeping in???? Doing housework???
-
Good morning you crazy bunnies!!! I've been reading back and laughing at you silly dustbunnies. Can you imagine what kind of fun we could have in real life? It would be a hoot?
We have a one-eyed Jane......and a two-eyed Jayne......and a red-box Linda.
Praying for you today Arnie..........you're gonna do good......I just know it!! 12:00 sharp
Praying for you too Mom......you're gonna do fine too....although I have to be honest, I think I'd rather have chemo than a root canal. Can't stand going to the dentist.
Love looking at all the pictures!!! Keep em coming. Linda.....you'll get that photobucket soon, then you won't be able to stop yourself.
You can tell I don't like the dentist......
-
Happy Tuesday to all. Thanks for sharing your pictures. May you have NO side effects from chemo or treatments. Last night I took two tylenol 3 for the aches from my next to last Herceptin last Thursday. One more to go and I get " deported"...
On the up side, I painted my toe nails in hopes of being able to wear sandals. The big toes are still not fully grown out, but I used a pale beige instead of brilliant red.
Here's to a stress free, pain free day !! HUGS, Nancy
-
There you are Coonie...lol Good morning sista! Yikes...I guess you don't like the dentist!!! lol
Isn't this Uncle somebody????

-

Arnie hope your chemo goes well with minimal side effects.
Mom good luck with your root canal work. It will be worth it once it is done. You don't want to end up like Uncle Bubba.
Linda well done with the pics. I think you've got photobucket sussed out. I'll have to look into it myself.
Two-eyed Jayne xoxo
-
Great news Faith. I can't believe it's been 6 months! Likely seems way longer for you though. Gentle hugs.
-
-
Good Morning all......
FAITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO Very Happy!!!!!!!!!!!! The man upstairs heard us for sure!
You guys, I'm telling on you for the food fight when Mom gets back, I ain't taking the blame for this one!
Linda! Great pics!
-
Yipey for the good news!
Mom, as I look at your picture I swear we have met some where. You look sooooo familiar! Ever been on the east coast?
Off to visit my mom in hospital. Nasal/gastric tube is out and today she gets tea and broth!!! Think I'll bring a tea cup for her today. Try to bring some thing different every day.
Heres to a good day, no house work. Happy Canada day, hugs to any one having treatment.
-
I read every single post and immediatelly forgot it all! Too much information!
Hugs to all, congrats to all...
-
Okay got the root canal done. Can't believe after a double mastectomy that getting a tooth fixed would still be so scary! Part of that was because I had to find a new dentist. Didn't want to go back to the one who fixed it before then 5 months later it fell out. The new guy was a literal answer to prayer too. The whole procedure was painless. Not bad for a root canal.
Speaking of pictures, I just got to take a good look and I noticed my bra is showing.
Of course that probably takes some of the emphasis off the dark circles under my eyes. Now you know why my avatar doesn't have a pic up.
Ewb you could send me a pic of you and then I could tell you if we've met. As for me we have lived in Turkey, Ethiopia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Florida, Missouri, Louisiana, Maryland, Virginia but I don't think anyplace on the east coast. My dad was a career military man and we seemed to move every couple of years.
2 New1's good to see you posting on here.
-
Mom, glad to hear the tooth thing went well. No housework for you for the rest of the summer. You must recover..............I for one have pretty well respected the no housework rule today. Just swept up (a ton of) dog hair.
-
Thanks too for holding my cyber hand and all the prayers, thoughts and words of comfort. Now about that food fight...........
-
I had NOTHING to do with the food fight! I think Coonie started it. Glad your trip went well to the dentist, Faith's mammygram turned out good, it's a great day..Now if I didn't have to go get fried again, it would be perfect...REALLY burned yesterday..OUCH!
-
Sharon maybe we all should get one of these bald dogs. Then that would be one less chore to do. (But man are they ugly little critters.
)
-
Here Deb you can take this with you and tell them if they fry you one more time you're gonna return the favor.
-
Faith rejoicing with you on the mammogram good news!!!!
-
Mom, I tell ya what, couldn't hardly sleep last nite, felt like I was burned both on the inside and outside...it was all red...hot to touch...GRRRRRRRRR, one blister and I'm telling you, I will quit. If it hasn't killed any cancer cells in there by now, it won't.
-
Deb you should post on the radiation boards and ask those ladies what the usual dosage of rads are and then ask the person doing your rads what they are giving you. Maybe they are giving you too much. My heart goes out to you.
-
Faith - great news.
Just went through about 5 pages since I last came on this thread. You ladies are, simply stated, (edit for better word) whacko!.
And, I know who started the food fight and my silence can be bought. If you don't want me to tell, PM me and I'll send my offshore address for "deposits".
