One load of laundry today and that's it for me.
-
Heading outside to garden and then yes Houseclean.Today i couldn't find the cat.
-
Barbe, have you had you thyroid checked? That could be a factor in the weight loss issue.
-
Good point, but I've had a huge tumour and part of my thyroid take out already. They SAID my bloodwork was okay.... When they gave me Thyroxin I actually grew 2 more tumours, so that's out!
Gee, can I blame it on my thyroid now!
-
Barb, it very well may be your thyroid. You cannot take any replacement hormones at all?
-
Hormones! Did you say HORMONES? no
I think it's part of my kidney stone causing water gain even though I am on a dieuretic for high blood pressure....you'd think they'd have checked in the last couple of years, but now I don't know....hmmm. Food for thought...Thanks!
-
Barbe, did the tumors go away after you stopped the thyroxin? I had a cyst removed from my thyroid about 25 years ago, but do not need hormone replacement.
-
".......on the road again!!!"
Seein' the midwest from our pick-em-up truck.
Congrats to KAK & those who are losing weight, or keeping it @ bay.
Fried my thyroid in my life's first 'train wreck.' It's apparently broken beyond repair.
Coonie, you can always count on the Lutherans for the good eats....
Hugs all around.
xx00xx00xx -
Hugs Arnie, the steroids suck but the side effects without 'em would suck worse. Gentle hugs.
Yes, I think I've done enough work. Finding the appropriate pics ain't easy ya know
Here Arnie, try this.
-
Arnie .... We'll chase ya round the block when you're ready.BTW:are you on 6acebook?
I'm putting together a photo album over there that's worth a gawk.
If so.... Let's be friends.
I'd like to be 'friends' with all da bunnies here who are out in the world on FB. -
Faith...Don't know the first thing about Facebook...lol Wouldn't even know where to begin... I tried texting my kids the other day and came out with "Hi there it's moo" lol... they told me to stick to calling.
Sharon...I haven't tried the balloons...gonna give that a try
-
The tumours went away when they took the HUGE substernal goiter and half my thyroid out! I was in intensive care for 3 days...
I had been bitching about not being able to breathe and choking on food and gasping when I talked and they thought it was all in my head as the x-ray only showed about an inch tumour. I talked to Dr. Google and learned about substernal tumours. So then I stomped my foot and got surgery and it was beind the breast-plate so it didn't show up in x-rays! Was as big as the surgeons hand AND as thick! Idiots!
-
Yep... sometimes I wonder about them there doctors, Barbe!!!
-
OK this is getting spooky, first Ed MaMahon, Then Farrah, Michael and now Billy Mays? Oh and Sweetie Ann....everyone in Hollywood is passing away! (Sweetie Ann was not in Hollywood!)
-
Yikes, I feel guilty because I mute his commercials! I hate being screamed at!
My DH has noticed that Billy didn't look well lately, his face really showed like he was losing weight...
-
Ohhh Deb....the saddest of all is the loss of Sweetie Ann. I'm so sorry you lost one of your babies. I know it's so heartbreaking. Gentle hugs to you........
-
Oh Deb so sorry about your sweet Annie. XOXOXOXOXO
I did not even know Billy Mays was practically my neighbor living in Tampa, Ed knew , shows how up on things I am.
Well ladies I am good on housework I figure for the next 6 months. I do not know where I got the energy from, how or why I did it, but I have just finished cleaning every room in the house, top to bottom (well pretty close) no cupboards or anything like that, but ceiling fans have been dusted as well as every piece of furniture etc, etc, etc. As much as I hate to admit it the new vacuum is great. Ed has been outside all day in 99 degree temps, replanting and digging, we have a Small sized above ground pool coming the first of next week. Not to awful big, enough for the kiddies to play in, and for me to lounge around in when I don't feel like having sand dragged through the house, he's a horrible, sweaty, dirty stinky mess right now - thank goodness for outside showers, guess I felt guilty watching him work so hard, hopefully I won't pay for it to much later, but quite proud of all I accomplished, haven't really cleaned this deep sense before MX in Oct. Mom you would be proud - LOL
Off to shower and relax the rest of the day away--
XOXOXOXOXOX - TO ALL.
-
Cathi.......why don't you send me some of those spirts of energy. I did have a little yesterday and got some things done. Then, after church today, I just grabbed the Endust can, my dusting cloth, and just ran through the house dusting everything that got in my way. Yesterday it was with the Windex bottle and vacuum cleaner. Wonder what instrument I can use today? Maybe a trash bag......LOL.......anything that gets in my way,, goes in the bag.......yeah! That's what I'll do!
Happy Sunday to all you bunnies out there
-
Connie I don't have enough energy spirts to share, I am sure there won't be another this big for a good long while. My mom always used to say about her house "It's dirty enough to be lived in and clean enough to be healthy" I am living more and more by that now.
-
I love that statement Cathi! I am borrowing it!!!
No housework here. Tomorrow will be crazy for me as we are packing for camping. I will get that all done, the shopping finished and then make sure the house is slightly picked up. Then i will be out of here until Friday!!!
-
Kimberly.......hope you guys have a great week!!! Enjoy every minute!!
-
Doesn't it feel good Cathi1...I mean right now...to have accomplished that??? I hope you don't suffer for it too!
Kimberly...have fun! Hope the weather is gorgeous...
Faith...glad to hear your almost home!!!
Coonie...thanks for the umbrella on the other thread...heheheh
Now I feel real bad that I called Billy Mays an oxymoron on another thread...in fact Barbe's Wacky definition word thread. Word: oxymoron Definition: The guy that does the Oxyclean commercials. Awwwwwwwwww I feel bad.
-
I sure hope everyone is having a good weekend and not doing this.....
'cause if you're doing this, Mom could get the broom handle after you.
Now we wouldn't want that, would we?
-
They just said on our news that Billy Mays was scheduled for hip surgery Monday, and he flew back into Tampa Saturday from a 2 week road trip and he was on the plane that landed with the blown out front tire, they showed his interview from that, an said he had been hit in the head with some over head luggage, but was fine.
Yes Arnie I must admit I do feel pretty darn good about accomplishing so much today, my tile floors just "glow" with happiness. But I'm good for MANY MANY more days. LOL
-
I worked on my gown but am unhappy with the placement of the darts so I am taking them out tomorrow and doing again. I did such a good job, sigh.... but I want them lower to make the gown look like a designer gown. Technically it is. Just not a well known designer.
Then I cleaned out my t-shirt drawers, putting away the long sleeves and getting out the tank tops that see me through the summer. Throwing out the stained ones, even if I love them, sniff sniff.
-
Oh Dream.......it's so hard to let go of the old shirts even the ones with stains. They seem to be more comfortable:) Hey....maybe you can post a pic of your gown. I would love to see it.
-
I heard that they are investigating that hit on the head more. Even what seems like a minor head injury could have caused a bleed that could have killed Mr. Mays. Awful week for deaths. The one that got to me was Dr. Jerri Nielsen, the doctor on the Antarctic expedition 10 years ago who diagnosed her own BC & gave herself chemo until she could be rescued. She was fine for 5-6 years, then mets in 2005. She died last Tuesday. Only 57. Made me cry.
Hugs to Deb about your SweetAnnie.
Cheryl!!! You go, girl!! Your avatar could have a great caption, like "I Beat the Stuffing Out of Breast Cancer!"
Dream, I can't wait to see this gown when you're done!
-
Hello to all. I have taken today to just relax. We went to services this morning and the out to a nice dinner and then it was nap time. Our youngest spent the night with her favorite cousins and my oldest spent the night at her best friends so it was kind of surreal to have the house so kid free.
This is the week hubby is off all week and I am so glad. He is doing much better with the headaches finally although still has to take some pain meds to keep them down. Before even the meds couldn't touch them. So he says they are bearable. We may just make day trips to do some fun things instead of a big trip. Think he wants us to try Six Flags or Kings Island (can't remember which it is) up near Cincinnati tomorrow. They also have a water park which will feel great in this heat.
Cathi sounds like you will be enjoying that clean house and the pool.
-
Mom we went past Kings Island and The Beach yesterday to and from the Flea Market...BOTH were packed....Have fun!!!!
