Mom... so glad to hear they've made it that far... I'm gonna go stretch out...but will check later to hear they're home.
KAK and Linda... safe travels to you both tomorrow...
-
Mom, glad they've made it! Try and stop worrying. Yeah, right!!
-
First off, as I stated on facebook, nevah seen such beautiful survivor sistah's!
Secondly if Linda has kids..hehehee, her house ain't immaculate, that's common sense! There's always something laying around, towels, clothes, shoes, etc.....
Kak, have a safe trip!!!! Take more pics!
The rest of you, have a great nite and wonderful safe weekend!
-
I think we should all go on a cruise.
-
Sounds good Jane...
Mom... was trying to stay up to hear that dd got home...but can't keep eyes open...

You know.. there a a few of us going to Vegas Sept..25th.. I am just saying.. ALL ARE INVITED!!!
If you really wanna meet eachother... we are REALLY going to be there....
Please join.. think of the fun!
-
Well after a 4 hour round trip we are finally home with dd. She is very glad to be home too I think. Serious thanks for all your prayers. Heading for that wonderful looking bed now.
-
Good morning to all you dust bunnies.
Mom I'm very pleased to hear your dd is back home safely. Hope you all get a good night's rest. Just needs your dh's headache to go away now.
KAK & Linda thanks for posting your lovely photos. It's great that you were able to get together.
Suzie good news about your results.
I have always fancied going to the Carribean. Perhaps we could do a Carribean cruise
Unfortunately I won't be able to make Vegas in September.
Nick & I went out for a meal at our local Chinese restaurant last night. Since I had a fill in my TE on Thursday I feel more confident in the clothes I used to wear pre mastectomy. So I put on a V neck dress and high heeled shoes and we had a good time. It is a small family run place and very friendly. I don't know what chemo is going to do to my taste buds but I might not fancy eating there again for a while.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Saturday.
Welcome to all the non-cleaning/tomorrow-singing-bunnies.
I'm up and doing housework????? What's that all about.
Must do laundry and then pack-up for a quick run thru to home.
Hugs and much love coming to those in need.
Just scanned thru the last eight pages to catch the pics.
AWESOME that we've had an actual first bunnie meet-up!!! Next time give us more warning & we'll all be there. Fun. Fun. Fun. Fun. Beautiful bunnies both!!
Saw Arnie posting some pics so I can exhale now.

Whoever posted the kitchen mess picture, I'd love to see the dates on those calendars!
Kathi, that MUST be your office as there is a picture of red shoes in there!
Gorgeous pictures! You both look so beautiful! You only needed a redhead to make up Charlie's Angels...
Glad DD is home mom, perhaps DH's headache is a home-grown migraine after all...
Great news Susie, take Imodium like mom said....nerves will do it to yah for sure!
I wanna go on a Caribbean cruise with all the SOs and Dhs too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Good morning bunnies!
Mom, glad your DD made it home OK.
estepp, I'd love to go to Vegas; but my money situation is tight this year due to time off for chemo. But, I am planning on going back to work full time in August and maybe I can save up for the cruise Jane had mentioned.
Today I already needed to run to the store because we were all out of coffee!
Shudder! My DH said he was going to work on the kitchen today. I still need to tackle the laundry, and remember to promptly put loads into the dryer so they won't mildew. Later today we will all go to the gym together. I've got to squeeze a nap in there somewhere, too! ---and check in with the dust bunnies!
(((hugs)))

I don't want to start any nasty rumors, but I think I'm alive!
I have basically been asleep since Wednesday night. Chemo #3 was a butt kicker!!
And Jayne- my taste buds are gone. Nothing has any taste whatsoever. Nothing. Blech! Eat all your favs now!
Linda and Kathi- I said it on Facebook and I'll say it again- y'all are just beautiful!!!
Mom- Glad DD is home safe and sound!
We are definitely doing a cruise in December. Just trying to decide which one. Either the Southern Caribbean out of San Juan or the Western Caribbean out of Galveston. Would much prefer the Southern. We did it in 2007 and loved it and Puerto Rico. Galveston is an easy drive away and I am worried about how much strength and energy I will have. We've done that one several times and it's nice, but the Southern Caribbean is gorgeous! They are both big ships- plenty of room for dust bunnies!!
Laundry is calling. I have put it off as long as I can. Happy Saturday!!
-
Great googa mooga!!! Great pics girls!!!!!!!! I mean REALLY great pics!!! You're both so beautiful!!! That's so neat to be able to meet like that. When are ya'll coming south? LOL
Hope everyone is done good on this Saturday. MaryRose....I know how you feel about the food thing. Nothing taste good. About the only thing I wanted was fruit.....and I hated fruit before chemo. I'm so sorry you're going through this, but you're getting closer to being done.
Mom---so glad DD is home!!!! I know you're relieved....and she is too.....LOL
Suzie.....sending you hugs and prayers! Hope everything gets worked out for you.
Arnie-----you have no idea how happy it makes me to see you posting girl!!! A wonderful sense of relief!!
Wish Lursa would post....I'm worried about her.
I know Kathleen is still in the hospital being taken care of.
Hope Shiny is having a good weekend.
I know Sharon is probably cleaning away.....not a speck of dust anywhere in her house. Probably got the neighbor's house clean by now.....LOL
Hey Jayne....it's good to see you this morning (or afternoon)......hehe Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Glad you got to go out .........and in heels at that!!! You go girl!! Eat up while you can. But you know, you may not be affected by the chemo. Everybody is different. Some people gain lots of weight during chemo, and others lose.
Cheryl....work out for me today, will ya? You look to be in pretty good shape, and I would be embarrassed to even stand beside you:)
(((((((((((((((big hugs for all the bunnies)))))))))))
-
holy mackrel....so much to catch up on...can't remember much of what I just read
sooo...hugs to everyone, prayers for everyone, rain or sun (depending on the need) to everyone, welcome to whoever is discovering the joys of not house cleaning for the first time (learning all the tricks of the trade as it were).
This week- lets see....big celebration on Saturday was lovely, my sister & bil came up and stayed with us for a few days, dd graduated from high school on Wednesday, Moms surgery on Monday went well and I have been going in daily to visit. For a while the doctor thought the polyp was cancerous, in fact he was convinced based on its appearence and sent section of colon and a bunch of nodes for biopsy. Yesterday we learned it is NOT cancer. Big sigh of relief. She will be in hospital a few more days until everything is working properly. DD just left for camp where she is coaching at her beloved gymnastics camp in Pa for the summer. The weather has been CRAZY, seem to cover the range every day. I hope things quiet down a bit. I did not realize how tired I would be with all this extra activity & worry. All I want to do is stay in my pjs, napping on and off. Getting back to my routine, soon, soon. Off to shower and visit Mom. DH is coming w/me today and I think we will also stop and have a quiet lunch. Then NAP TIME...no house work for me today. DH & DS have already done dishes, some laundry, picking up latest round of downed branches....they are so good to me
Hugs, prayers and skretches to the dust bunnies
-
EWB------------giving thanks for your mom's great report!!!!!!
When you get into your pj's think of me and take a nap for me, would ya?
That sounds like a great plan!!!
Enjoy the day with DH and your mom:)
-
Sending big hugs today for Kathleen and Shiny and Lursa.
Mary good to see you back on the other side along with Arnie.
Laura we are taking our vacation this week so won't be able to do a Vegas trip but thought it was sweet of you to include us.
Jayne, Cheryl, Faith you all will have to motivate me this morning, company coming and I woke up with a migraine. Seems to be easy some with my meds and a little something on the tummy.
Coonie I always get a chuckle out of the great googa mooga, what's the story behind that?
Barbe aren't you a redhead? You could be the third angel.
OK so needing to go and get someone to fix this head of hair for the reunion so I better get off here. Love and hugs to anyone I missed.
To all the new ladies like someone mentioned before just keep chiming in and eventually we will get to know you. There is always people popping in and out so don't get hurt or leave, like anything it just takes time for people to get acquainted. Post enough and in no time you are one of the dust bunnies.
Don't think I saw Linda or Sharon or Deb yet but sending out a hot cup of coffee and sprinkled donut for when they show up.
-
EWB great news about your mom!
Almost forgot a good morning to Faith and Kak too.
-
Hope you have a good day Mom......even with a Migraine....boy, those things come around alot, don't they?
Great googa mooga came from my Junior High Algebra teacher. He was a retired colonel, with a deep gruff voice, and those were his words. He was a great teacher, good with the kids and wonderful at teaching algebra. So......that's the great googa mooga story

Hi to all. I may not mention each of you individually, but I say a prayer as I read of your good and not so good news. It is hard for me to take notes and by the time I write down each name and "issue" another page of posts has filled up. Stay off of here for a few hours, and WOW. I am not complaining, as I value your friendships and support. This HAS to be the most active thread on here. Please forgive me if I do not send individual HUGS and Prayers and Love.
Welcome to the newbies. Soon you will be able to postpone or totally avoid house work. It is NOT at the top of our "to do lists". If you should have a momentary lapse and actually vacuum or clean, we will not kick you out of the group and you get to "bank" them for days when there is no housework going on...
Hugs and Blessings and Smilies for all ((((((((( friends ))))))))))), Nancy
-
Nancy good seeing you on this morning.
I think your way is the safest cause I know no matter how hard I try, I always wind up leaving someone off. Still love seeing everyone that posts on here. Just wish I were better at keeping track so no one would ever feel left out.
-
Greetings housework avoiders. I'm just doing a fly through.......mop in hand............please don't give me heck Mom but things were getting kind of..........well not as bad as those pics posted but certainly runner up.
Hugs and prayers to all in need. Hugs and prayers whether you need 'em or not.

Good Morning all. Please forgive my absence. I have a question. I started T/C Thurs. Sailed thru that but my Neulasta shot has knocked me down. My hips are KILLING me! I told the nurse it was sneaky of them to give me my shot late Fri. afternoon so I couldn't call if I had trouble....anyway...question is...if any of you had same TX, how long did the pain last. Should I call or just push thru?
Thanks!
xoxo
Lursa
-
Lursa, so sorry about the pain you are in from the Neulasta shot. I had the shots too but to be honest although each one caused a little more achiness with each tx. it wasn't unbearable for me. I don't know what to tell you other than if there is someone you can call to ask......do so.
Gentle hugs and I pray the pain subsides quickly.
-
Nancy you're so right about this thread. It's getting bigger and bigger, and harder to remember each and every person. Everyone on here is so special though and it's so nice to be amongst friends.....when there's good things happening, and when there's bad things happening. It's a great support system for us all. I'm just so thankful for each and every one of you!!
Lursa speaking of friends. I've missed you so much. And now.....I hate you're in pain. I remember the neulasta shots. Felt like I had the flu everytime. Maybe you could soak in a warm tub of water to relieve some of the pain. Or take some tylenol or something. It seemed like I just always had to grin and bear it and wait for it to wear off. Then by that time, I was getting another one........it's a vicious cycle. I'll be sending you gentle hugs and prayers for the pain to lessen, and for you to have a peaceful and relaxing day. Maybe a good book or movie to keep your mind off it. ((((((((((hugs Lursa)))))))))) it's so good to see you!
Sharon I can't believe you're cleaning house..........well now, I guess I need to clean too!!! Can't let you get ahead of me......LOL......but I promise, it won't be any heavy duty cleaning.........that's for sure!!!
-
hi all, Just dropping by to say hi. Have got to clean today. No way out of it. gotta get the dreaded laundry done so I can take tomorrow off. Oh and clean my van.DS borrowed it all week and with all his friends in it now smells of well what ever hot sweaty basketball playing guys smell of.
DH is finally home from Utah so maybe I can hook him into folding laundry. Easy enough to do and still watch the boob tube. Check in with you later
-
Mom, I'm noticing a pattern...either you have the migraine or your husband does...hmmm.
Dr. Barbe is wondering if you guys take turns doing something like; laundry, spraying pesticides, cleaning a certain area of the house, walking a dog in a certain area, see where I'm going?
Bad? Bad you say? When I vacuumed yesterday it was the first time since May 22!!! Honest! Wow, it felt so good on my tootsies dancing through the livingroom. When I went to go down the hall I thouht, "Hey this already looks vacuumed" and I almost put the vacuum away until I realized that the tracks were from me dragging the machine OUT in the first place. Doi ! ehehehheehhe
