I have big boobs, big butt, big tummy, big nose and a really big mouth - any takers?

Went out tonight with a girlfriend I hadn't seen in a year - a nice Italian girl from NY.  We yakked, ate, had a drink - oh I missed her.  I love that she doesn't do the passive/aggressive west coast thing.  Her husband makes wine and has just opened a small tasting room - I think I'm going to work there a bit.  He makes a damn good Sangiovese.

    Thinking about you Deb....

Sandy - is that a current pic of your hair - so your hair is purple now?  Good for you having purple hair!

Sheila - glad you found some dresses and had a good time - singing with you lalalalalalalala ♫♪♪♫♪♫♫♫♪♪♫♪

Re:  Hair - My hair has thinned in the places where I want it and stayed the same in places where I don't.  Figures.  And I have plenty of thigh and butt to donate.

Diane - happy for you that you got to spend time with your friend - and that you will work at their place - sounds like fun (I imagine anyway- I don't know anything about wine...  whine, yes...wine, no...except that I could stand to drink some about now)

Went for a quick run, uh, I mean "run," in the rain.  Stupid me procrastinated during the hours when it wasn't raining so I made myself go when it started again as punishment for procrastinating.  I hate the feeling of water on my face.  I cut my run short (because I hate having water on my face), but the good thing was that I "ran" a little faster than I otherwise would have (because I wanted to get out of the rain - because I hate having water on my face...)

eila, glad you are having a good week (at least it sounds that way)...been reading back a bit...of course can't remember a thing.

Sheila, if you have a favorite dress, don't ask Dd...but if you are undecided, ask her thoughts.  Wish I could see the dresses...can you put them on and take a pic in the mirror?  By the way, you ahve beautiful long hair...it would look thicker if you cut into the layers a bit to lighten it up...but anyway, you will look great for this wedding. Sandy, sorry you had a typical yucky day....but hope you will be in great shape for Mother's day...you deserve it.  You do so much for your family...kind of amazes me....be happy.

Chris, I don't have a sister, but could you be mine?  I have the same nails...they grow and then they shatter, dry out, chip, break...they never get long ever.

It's been a crazy week...bathroom guys are great...they are making progress and are very polite and easy to have around....and it's getting done!    I love the way it's coming out. So, last week I had to clear the basement (just part) so they could get to the water main control; then yesterday I had to clear the attick so they could get to the lighting fixtures from up above...and I just heaved 25 years of saved junk down the attic stairs and didn't even look.
Today I spent 12 hours clearing the guest rooms for DD, DH and her 2 kids. A m exhausted...but I have to stay up so I can relax!

i wish you all a wonderful mother's day.
So glad you are in my life!
    Hugs,

    Joan

Well, happy mother's day to me.  At 11pm, my irresponsible, immature daughter comes across a medical form that she doesn't know whether she needs to fill out for an appt with a new doctor at 8:30 tomorrow morning.  She had other info she had to complete online - before they could proceed with the appt.  I had already rescheduled the appt because of my new work schedule so I could go with her to the appt.  They had already had to remind her to fill out the info online before I rescheduled the last appt because it was getting close to the appt date and she still hadn't completed the online info.  And as this one drew near, I reminded her she had to do the stuff online or she couldn't have the appt.  She waited until Saturday evening to do it - after she said she had already done it.  Liar.  AND since I'm the only one in this house who can check voicemail and I usually only do it if I'm waiting for a phone call or pick up the phone to make one - I heard the doctor actually called herself Saturday evening around 5pm to tell "D"D that she needed to complete the info online or come to the appt one hour early or she couldn't have the appt.  omg.  So- the problem really is that  when she was filling out the piece of paper, it wanted her SSN.  I went to the firebox to get her SS card and guess what - it wasn't there.  Whenever I need her SSN, I look it up on a tax return since those are usually more handy.  I'm assuming she needed the card for something and it never got put away - because no one in this house believes in organizing anything - having a place where things are kept and keeping them there so they can be found.  We are ALWAYS running around frantically looking for things at the last minute because we can't find things.  Not that she needs it now, but I think it's a big deal that her SS card is missing.  Of course, it could be in her disgusting disaster of a bedroom - but God knows where.  When will these people EVER learn?!  And of course they are blaming me.  I'm sorry - the freaking thing has been where I've kept it since she got it when she was a baby.  Now that she has needed it for things, it's gone.  Yup - must be my fault.  Just like when I tried to take  my son for a physical for camp and I handed him his paperwork and insurance card and asked him to hold it for me while I drove the car - his insurance card went missing.  wtf?????   And that was last Thursday.  I think I'm going to say I'm not handling any paperwork or legal documents anymore just so I can say I didn't lose them when they go missing.  I can't stand this family.  Happy mother's day to me.  I hate my life.

    sorry for the rant.

Hi Christ....you explanation gave me a chuckle.......but you are so right....I call it the Blame Game..........but what can I expect, there father was the same way...assholes all of them.....tired of it all. And mine are 55,54, 53, 49 , 47, and 44. So it does not get better with age...what is even better is they have not lived with me for 19 years....all married and gone, and I still get blamed for shit...

Chris - two years ago, I gave my daughter a Nordstrom card connected to my account to be used with permission only  She used it once and lost it.  I didn't replace hers.  Yesterday she got out a summer purse and there it was, after swearing she had looked everywhere for it and that she had put it on my desk and so I lost it.....  Every year since my son was 18 he has not remembered my birthday until the day of and then tells me that my bday is on the 21st, not the 20th cause I don't know when I was born?  Yup - it's the blame game but a social security card is dangerous to lose - I'd take her keys away until she locates it and/or has it replaced.

Just started pouring rain about an hour ago - I am in bed and just love the sound of rain on the roof.  My DH made me an amazing dinner but left my present at our cabin.  DD bought me a quesadilla rack for the bbq and DS sent me an ecard - gotta say I find ecards less than warm but it was at least a nice one.  My "daughter" from Latvia sent lovely iris's and my "daughter" who moved in during highschool came and brought me breakfast in bed along with her DH and two little babies.  It was a good day overall.

Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day and today my friends and I are dealing with the ramifcations of mother's day, them ignoring us until like 6pm...or me I posted something on FB and the daughter who did nothing sent me a text blasting me for putting it on, WTF, telling me how hard her life is....OMG....he has been one of those mornings....another friend, her son called her at 6pm....my son said, didn't know there was a time limit on it, said yep, first thing in the morning...my theory is they will find out when there kids are grown and they get ignored....

BBL going to the supermarket, want imported ham....lol or not....don't feel like going out, have to go out tomorrow, can wait til then...

Ok, E-cards......agree, but how about they can't even punch 7 numbers into a phone to call you, and make it personal, but they text a message that takes 20 punches, not including "send"...........and they know I hate when try do it, cause I have told them........

Well....I can't really complain.....DD sent me some macadamia nuts with mother's day card and called so my SIL......

DD#1....no cards but we were together in her house.....and went out on my Birthday

I just finished all 3 of my appointments.....I'm exhausted.....

    It's very cold and windy.....

Almost fell on my face when I was crossing a wide street.....I took 6-7 steps trying to not to fall and it worked.....Then I saw this young woman watching me in terror and pointing something that should'n be there I tripped and no it wasn't an elderly moment......It was all City's fault because they didn't fix the street right   Embarassed

My friend is sending me dinner later

Ducky...I totally understand how hurtful those words could be.....

I had some screaming match with DD few months back.....it wasn't what she said it was the way she said it....I lost and was screaming on the phone which is not my nature......I hang up the phone and didn't talk to her for almost 2 weeks......I explained to her why i lost it

DD#2 has a very calm personality......and she doesn't use that tone of voice like the father used to do......Anyway......As painful and hurtful it was everything is forgotten now

DD gets very uneasy and in shock when I start yelling which only happens maybe every 3 years or more

    HUGS to Everyone

I have to go to Social Security again because the stupid who made copies of my original requested papers  lost them......I was there Thursday.......

diane how is cutie pie doing?
