Pipes were good this morning Sandy......weather here does stink. Waiting to see what this ice thing is going to be. Don't have to go for the kids today....daughter is working from home. Was suppose to go around noon and put my other daughter's dog out, but she has a huge hill to her front door. Plus a steep driveway. Told her ......bring the dog here...instead she decided to ask her X to go over for her....( great guy). Don't know what happened with those 2, although I do believe it was more my daughter then him. Oh we'll, whatever.........so, I am in for the day....honkering down with my IPad, and staying warm...you have a blessed day girlfriend. Hugs.

me too Shiela and ducky you are awesome, me my dogs go out if I am home 4 times a day....they wait til one of us gets up in the morning for us to let them out.....also now have 4 black cats (will take a pix) out back on my deck, boys were not happy but explained the put them to sleep thing if the SPCA comes or we take them there, so a box out there and now Michael lets them in, am feeding them, will probably get in trouble with the borough for feeding them....they are awesome mother, father and babies....bigger than babies tho....

This daughter puts me to the test on occasion. Some days I pass, somedays I fail.....and like I say when I fail......WHATEVER....lol........God love her X. He failed a lot of tests, I guess........tee hee. I know she is my daughter, but who knows a daughter better then a mother. Give you the shirt off her back, but she can be ornery sometimes. Actually think she might be bi-polar. I swear her father was. ........she must have got his genes.....surely not mine.......I'm just a bunch of bubbley sweetness. Now that is a real LOL......enjoy your apple.....pretend it's warm chicken soup...hugs

I don't understand the these hate...racism....all the violence.......
What's happening to the world...Someone in NY beating Asians......Community is in fear........
What makes them superior......when Racism involved i get so angry........
Why so much hate.........
Why people don't respect each other......If you don't want to help or be friendly is fine...
Stop the violence.........

BE AWARE of these charges especially online purchases
http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/video/consumer-watchdog-credit-card-surcharges-effect-18331327
-
But take a deep breath. You can avoid the fee by using a debit card, for one thing. And there are laws prohibiting these surcharges in 10 states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Oklahoma and Texas.

I made this once, it is yummy.
6C chick broth
6C peeled & diced potatoes
4tbl butter
2C thinly sliced leeks
1C chopped celery
1 tsp thyme
1 1/2 tsp dill weed
1 tsp salt/pepper to taste
2tbl white flour
1C half & half
1/2C minced fresh parsley
Bring broth to a boil in soup pot. Add potatoes. Cover and cook until tender (20-25 min). Turn off heat & puree 3/4 of potatoes in blender. Pour back into soup pot. In a 10 inch fry pan, melt 2tbl butter and saute the leeks, celery, thyme and dill weed until the leeks are well coated with butter. Cover and cook on low heat until the leeks are te4nder (10-15min) Add to the potatoes along with salt & pepper. In the same pan in which the leeks were sauteed, melt the remaining 2tbl butter, then add the flour. Brown for 1 min on low heat. Whisk in half & half and turn off heat . Add to the soup, then add parsley. Simmer 10-15 min, uncovered and serve.

Okay, I thought our dinner went well with DS's GF's parents. What do you think of a mother who would go home and tell her 16 yr old daughter that her sister's BF wasn't sure she was the one because that is what his mother supposedly told you?
DS was shocked when he heard I supposedly said that. I was shocked to hear that, too. Why woulod a woman do that? Oh, BTW, DS's GF's sister texted her this juicy tidbit within hours of the dinner ending. Am I a crazy woman, or was this uncalled for?
-
Meece.....Why all these things are happening to you?
Correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is you supposedly told her mother or your son ?
Something must be in the air in California........
Sorry......
-
Totally uncalled for!
-
I supposedly told the mother that my son didn't think that her daughter was "the one". It must be just me...maybe I ought to have the tatoo on my forehead removed. You know, the one that says "I'm a doormat, walk all over me". DH was there the entire time and confirmed that nothing was said to in any way infer that.
