Thinking Out Loud.....

Sheila - it is same as me - norovirus probably. Advil might make your tummy feel worse but it's worth a shot. Ginger ale, saltines, pastina, cream of wheat. Take care - hope it's not!
-
Norovirus sucks! Thats what my family had before the flu. It has been a long year this month! Feel better!
-
What do you do Ray? Are you a nurse?

10:30 pm. Went to.bed at 2am last night. Got up at 6 for the early relief, flushed the toilet and heard no water running back in. Thought, hmmmmm, that does not sound good. Turned on the faucet, and ......nota, nothing. .......did someone say " frozen water line"......your right......so here I was at friggin 6:30am, blow dryer in hand, 1/2 asleep, thawing out a friggin pipe, and thought "great I have a shower today for my grandsons future wife. Thought, well you look bad on your best day with a shower, Lord help you without one. Now my son wrapped a heating wire around that very pipe last winter and said, in the summer I will roll it up, which he did........but Mrs. You can't have that clutter under you cabinet, took it out put it God knows where, and can't find it. Dare not tell DS, or I will not see the light of day tomorrow.
Well after much bending, holding the blow dryer , and many, many 4 letter words later, I had water.....so as I write I am falling asleep in the chair. Still did not find the heat wire....oh we'll....shit happens....I will probably find it in July. Hugs -
Good for you Ray!! I bet that's very rewarding!!!
((((DUCKY)))))
-
Good for you Ray, I am a parent advocate, helping parents get the educational needs their children need, but also working with them with juvenile justice, mental health issues, etc. it is rewarding. I am not a clinician and do not have a college degree....been doing it since 2000, love it, pro bono....
Ducky....lol, it is always something isn't it...
Well Shiela it appears you have the flu.....yep am going out to get the cake and cupcakes cause I said I would, and taking them to ds's house for grandson, boys will go, but am not going to birthday party....diverticulitis is still hurting, up and down all night, AND according to DIL, there will be 50 people in a twin house. I can't take the chance I will get something, have chemo on Wednesday AND it is the 3rd of as I have said before 3 weeks on 1 off....they already had a bd party for him on his birthday with just us, 1/10 but now it is lots of people....can't take any chances and pain is still there.....
Happy Sunday!!!

Hope all my sick ladies get better real soon.......hugs
Sandy, could have done that but too cheap to waste the water....instead used the electricity. HEy, Hey, I never said I was the sharpest knife in the drawer.......if my son finds out, and realizes I can't find the warming cord he installed, when he does he will use it to strangle me......also the one he climbed up on the roof when it was 99degrees last summer.... to install so my gutters would not "dam"up as he called it this winter.......wonder where that one got to. Maybe I should look outside for the plug.......oh we'll that's for another day.....plus why worry its going to be 62 here in a few more days......no problem..... I amaze myself sometimes how quickly I solve something.....lol,lol,lol -
lol, can't wait til Wednesday and have the 60's weather, will be in chemo for 4 hours but i will get some of it....have fun Ducky!!
-
Sandy......hope all goes well on Wednesday......will say a couple extra's for you tonight .....have a peaceful night dear friend......
-
That soup looks delicious and very good for my diet
Glad you feel better Sheila! Pastina with lemon sounds delicious but is the lemon ok with your tummy?
Linda - that total can't be for just one year????? Makes me glad I;m old.
Ok, off to bed ladies. I ate a fairly normal meal.
-
Hi TOL
Sorry to hear the flu/virus is going around here....hope I don't catch it(((Sheila))) it's going around everywhere...my grandkids and SIL got it in NJ while my daughter is at the 4 Seasons hotel in Costa Rica (business)...
I just read quickly and have to say that (((Sandy))) you are amazing...
Ducky, (also amazing) I think it's warming so I hope your pipes behave from here on in.
Linda, oh, the scholarship game - I remember getting "just enough" to entice us to private colleges then had to print money for the rest...it is a trying time. I wish you the best in being able to make it all work. My last just graduated from college - my 6th kid - I do not miss that challenge at all.
Yesterday I went to a memorial service for my friend. Can't even talk about it. Church again today, and they replayed the memorial video...much deep inner thinking for me.
Nice dinner last night with lady friends from work. Good to get out. Got 3 pairs of boots today with return credits - long, short w/heels, and snow. Love the bargains! Retail therapy gets my mind off troubles every time.
My classes start tomorrow afternoon. I am only about 40% prepared. But I've done it so many times....should be OK. Gotta get sleep...up at 6.
Hugs & stay well please,
Joan -
Joan, can I please borrow your money printer?? Yes Diane, for one year. Crap!
Good morning everyone. Hope you are alll feeling better today. I am heading to the gym soon to work off my imaginery OCF.
