Mr. & Mrs. Nebard and Mr. & Mrs. Ryer are going to the MOS tomorrow.
-
I don't know what MOS is....but happy for you that Mr.& Mrs Nebard are already here.
-
Thanks for the good wishes....am just about over whatever it was....slept 10+ hours last night and felt good today. I usually get about 5-6 hours. I have to try more sleep more often. I have sensitivity to electronics - sometimes get metallic taste and anxiety and confusion when on the iPhone a long time...if it is up to my ear...well now have tinnitus for a few days - never ever had that before. And I take too many drugs to bother to figure out what's causing it.
Sounds like everyone's having some issues...am wondering if the stress of impending holidays are a factor for me. I just can't do what I used to do (mentally) and I don't know how to stop trying.
Thinking of everyone - Sheila, have a peaceful week end...Sandy you are amazing the way you push on even knowing you are going to feel under the weather...Meece, hope all the plans are coming together for a perfect day....
Chris, good luck on the job.
Here's to the week end....it's just in time.
Nite all,Joan
-
Glad to hear your feeling better Joan. You need to sleep more and hang up the phone!
I agree, Sandy is amazing!
Not sure what MOS is either. Fill us in Deb.
-
Glad to see everyong checking in here. I am the only one in the house awake, so in order to keep everything quiet, I am checking in. DS asked to spend the night last night, he said for the convenience, but I think it's to be back with mom one last night. 8.5 hours to go.

Yesterday, FDIL had invited DIL and I to get our nails done at the same salon as she and the brial party were going to. 45 minutes before the reservation (4 hours before the rehearsal) I called her to verify that there was room for us and she said there were only 4 of them, so 6 should be no prob. I asked how many people worked in the salon and she replied "two, I think". I bowed out and said we'd drive into town to a separate salon.
DIL and I both had pedicures and I had acrylics put on, we drove the 25 minutes home including stopping by a roadside vendor for roses (for the boutinierres) and we made it back with 30 minutes to spare. When we met up with the bridal party at the rehearsal, only two had managed to get manicures, and two pedicures. The bride....nothing! she went back between the rehearsal and dinner for her pedi. Will get her nails done today.
DIL and I have gorgeous nails (much better than the harried job the others got).
FDIL needs a lessone in time management.
I plan on packing up sewing supplies to take with me for last minute adjustments. DIL suggested red duct-tape.

I hope everything is beautiful today, Meece.

I've done a load of laundry and I'm waiting for DD to get up so I can ask her for her underwear so I can do the next load. She didn't have any underwear in last week's load, so I should wait for her or she'll probably run out totally. Good thing she's got like 20 pairs of underwear...
Well, the other day, she went to BBB and picked up a couple collapsible hampers. They were filled immediately (and she probably still had more clothes that didn't fit.) Now instead of clothes being all over her floor, she's going to have hampers all over her room. Well, she does need to learn to do all her clothes herself for when she goes away to school next year. Now to get her to bring the hampers to the basement and actually wash the clothes... mental.

Meece...Thinking of you in a very happy way...♥
Hi.....i decided to do some type of cleaning.....and I washed my windows....they are so shiny...I keep checking them make sure they are closed..........
Nothing else to report......I'm clean and dinner is ready to be cooked...what more do I want??????
OOOH...i had a piece of chocolate,,,,,,
-
Thinking of you too Meece!! Hope you're having a blast!!!
-
I tried cleaning the windows on the car...now it's just one big smear instead of several smaller ones. Why can't I get windows clean? What's your secret, Sheila?
Hope the wedding is perfection! So sweet that DS stayed with you last night.
-
Went to the mall with DD to try to find a dress for her band banquet. Went by a kiosk with fancy cupcakes. DD wouldn't let me get one.
Meanie.
Got 2 dresses - one was only $25. She'll probably wear the other one we got. But there was a third that she liked and probably would have worn, but it had seams perpendicular to the side seam on the side of the bust. I can't imagine why those were necessary. Not being busty, unless DD stood really tall, it buckled. And it doesn't come in a smaller size for her to try. Meece! I need you to fix this dress for me!
-
chris...I rarely clean the windows.....no secret...just that I can work the same time at both sides because they are what you call..i can clapse them inside....I hope you understood what I just wrote lol
-
My windows are the same way but you can always tell when I cleaned them. They look horrible! Back in the day my Mom would clean the windows with newspaper. Someone told me that doesn't work any more because of the kind of ink they use now.
-
My Grandmother used newspaper too.......
tomorrow if I'm on the mood..want to do the blinds...yuck.....
-
Meece, can't wait to hear about the wedding and see the pix.....
Linda, don't do windows, whatever....
Shiela, friends and family is coming after thanksgiving, you will need a macy's run, lol!!!!good for you S, I am not doing much of anything, lol....had a good time today but tomorrow is a nothing day..oh and thanks for clearing up the time thing.
Chris do you ever stop???
Joan you must need sleep and I wonder about the holidays also.....
Thanks for your kind thoughts, but I am not amazing, you just do what you have to do!!!
Again wish we all lived closer to each other, we need a weekend away with each other!!!! OR a week, lol!!!
Happy Saturday....
Good night!!!
Sandy
-
Ummmm......You ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Sounds like today was a work day...windows got done at my house, too. Amazing what a difference it makes.
A little retail therapy tonight was my reward.
So glad it's still the week end!
Sending good thoughts and hugs,
Joan -
