The elliptical isn't doing much for my beauty.... but I did it. 250 calories (allegedly) and 2 miles. I stopped every 25 calories after the first 100...so out of shape....so sad. But I did it. Burned off that McDonald's apple pie that was in the freezer that I ate this afternoon. Must...stop....eating....
-
LOL - beauty food! We like your talking, Sheila ♥

Love Seal. Today, at the gym, a Seal song came on and the instructor asked us if we hear d about Seal and Heidi breaking up. SHe told us to work extra hard because if somewone would leave her, there no hope for the rest of us ! lol!
I hear you on the diaper, but it would be soooo worth it!

I'm hearing a lot of the Oncotype DX, I never had that test done. Is it too late?
We had OCF tonight and will have more tomorrow, a lot of left overs. I think I will get the cat carrier out and bring my DD cat to have her nails trimmed. She keeps catching them on the carpet. Pet Smart charges 9 dollars, it will be fun trying to get her into the carrier.
-
I'm guessing it is Deb. They need to do it on your tumor. ASk your doctor.
Love that Judy!! Makes me hungry!
-
-
Deborye - they can still go back to your original biopsy and do an Oncotype DX test on it, but it is primarily used to determine if a stage 1 would benefit from chemo. If you've already had chemo anyway, your insurance may not cover the test. I'm having trouble with the insurance because they said after the fact that they don't want to cover my test. They said as a Her2+ I should have chemo anyway and don't fit into their criteria. The genetic place told me they preauthorized it 1st so now they're arguing it out. The test is about $3000.00
. I hope I don't get stuck with that bill.
-
Deb...Since they didn't even do oncotype when i was DX......I can't say much.
Judy my friend i love your pictures and quoted ........
Linda.....♥
(((TOL)))
Planning a long beauty walk
HUGS

Both my tumors were under 1 cm so I'm guessing they did not feel is was necessary plus it was almost 5 years ago. Maybe that test wasn't done. March 23rd will be my 5 yr cancerversary.
-
If the testing place got preauthorization, then insurance should pay. If they didn't actually get preauthorization, but told you they did, they shouldn't charge you - it was their error. Also - yes you would have had chemo anyway - but did the oncotype dx test result help them determine which chemo they gave in addition to the herceptin? Then insurance should pay.
I'm so glad I have insurance, but it is so horrible how it works. You have to live in fear of surprise bills. I'm still waiting to see how much these surgeries are going to cost me. So far so good, but I'm waiting to see how many I end up getting. Separate bills from surgeon, surgery center, pathology, and maybe anesthesiologist. And who knows who else! Or how long I will continue getting bills. Hate this. They should have to tell you ahead of time.
Good luck getting the cat in the carrier, Deb. I've never had a cat, but I've heard about how much they love their carriers...
I want to go to Hawaii too. You got the bigger suitcases so we could all fit, right, Sheila?
Going to the gym today, Linda? How about you, Ducky?
How're you feeling, Sandy?

It is 207pm checking in
-
2:47 here and I'm heading out for another walk. Its GEORGEOUS!!!!
-
I had OCF for supper tonight. Must admit, it's not my favorite...
Debating doing the elliptical, but I'm a little sore from yesterday. But I had two donuts today so I could stand to burn the calories... Wish people would stop buying stuff I shouldn't eat. I need some willpower
-
For surgeries my co pay is $250.
But if either of us is hospitalized for some reason the co pay is 2000.00. Can't afford to get so sick that it requires being admitted.
-
Very boring and unproductive day.
Did absolutely nothing....i'm ready to go to bed
-
LOL, me went to Andrew's basketball game, went to Walmart came home took a nap went out for hamburgers and now in bed, nauseous but here...
Sandy
-
Hope the nausea goes away soon - do you have anything you can take for it? Andrew's basketball game must have been fun.
-
Hope you feel better Sandy. I hate feeling nauseaous!
Did someone mention OCF AND donuts! YUM!! On my daily walk, I walk by a Dunkin DOnuts. I haven;t been inside of one in years....but it smells soooooo good!
-
(((Sandy))) hope the nausea goes away, I hate that feeling.
OMG,went food shopping at the new Super Stop & Shop right across the street from Market Basket in Chelmsford. They jacked up their prices at least a dollar or more. I'm done with them. Spent $150.00 for just 2 ppl and really didn't get much.
They have a lot of neat foods but pricey
-
Chris - Genetic place did tell me they had preauthorized the oncotype, at that time onc and BS didn't think my tumor was large enough to warrant chemo even though her2+. Onc wanted to do oncotype just in case. Glad I did, at that time I didn't realize how significant it was that I was Her2+. As yucky as chemo is, I feel a little more reassured that I'm doing every thing I can. Also very glad they have Herceptin now.
Thanks Sheila. Sleep well!
Sorry about the nausea Sandy, hope you feel better soon.
