I CANT WAIT FOR COLLEGE!! LOL! I'm sure my opinion will change if, and when that happens!
Good for you Meece! We can all get on the health kick band wagon together!
-
Ok, slept right through WW today..........looked at the clock at 7am, (meeting is 8:30)......rolled over, back to sleep...........looked at the clock and "oh Lord" it is 8:23 am....................hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm............guess I can't go into the meeting late, and make a grand entrance.................I would hate to "kill the receptionist" in front of the whole group........................Gee..........hope the EMT;s forgot to show up.........................Hey, do you think they will charge me a fee for asking them to be on "standby"....................
I gave up..............called today, and cancelled my "monthly pass".............it is good till March 2nd, cause I didn't cancel soon enough................there goes another $40.00, oh well, maybe I'll get some kind of incentive to go back...........................yea, like that's gonna happen........................Going to the store to buy some Crystal Light............hahahahahahahha
-
LOL!! They always screw you on the monthly charge. Mine is 40 a month too. When I joined I went in with 500.00 in cash because I would not give them my bank account or credit card number. They were dumbfounded. I have heard so many people cannot get them to stop charging them for the monthly fee, so I thought cash was the way to go. Did I mention my gym is next to a liquor store?? lol!

Good Morning!
-
Taco Soup ( My version)
one lb ground turkey, browned
One can black beans
One can Pinto beans
one can garbanzo beans
one can kidney beans
two cans corn
one package taco seasoning mix
one package Hidden Valley Ranch mix
One onion, chopped
one small canned chopped ortega chilis
After meat is browned, put all ingredients into a slow cooker and cook for at least 4 hours. Done!
I like a little spoonful of sour cream and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese on mine. This makes a lot so we have it for a couple of nights and then I freeze the rest.
I did pedal another 4 miles yesterday morning, the weight isn't dropping like I thought it might, but I will be patient.
-
I'm having the same problem Meece. 3 weeks and 2 days of going to the gym 6 days a week, on top of my walking 5 miles a day every day......nothing!
Recipe sounds yummy, thanks for sharing!
-
So frustrating when the pounds don't come off. Keep at it though. Even if the weight doesn't come off, you are getting into shape! AND maybe the number isn't changing because you are trading fat for muscle... It will come off - just watch what you eat. I find that sometimes when I increase my exercise, I'm hungrier and then I eat more - defeating the purpose of exercising more. Drink lots of water - right, Sheila?
-
right Chris...without drowning your lungs...LOL
One thing confuses me......My BMI is so close to be called obese....on the other hand I got my test results that my lipid levels were excellent.......so i don't understand how can that be........
i'm grateful for my MH behaving nicely.
Tonight Joe's mother and i we are going out to Mexican Restaurant
Meece thanks for the recipe
♥
-
Glad yoru MH is behaving. Your BMI may be high but you get out and exercise so you are healthy! You eat well too. I am definitely more hungry now that I exercise more. Trying to increase my protein to help build muscle. I have to drink more water and less diet pepsi!
-
I walked about 2 miles today....weather is not behaving
Tomorrow mid 50's
yes Linda try more water
I need something high protein in the morning that it's not egg or dry cereal......
Ok....i talk to you tonight.......
-
Heading to gym soon so I can eat some more later. lol.
-
it is 526 watching the Rockford Files like I did with my mother how is everyone? Me had Gemzar yesterday and it is ok...
-
I'm glad you are ok with Gemzar.
Dad was bad a few days ago, got a report from my brother that he slapped one of the CNA's and yelled and swore at another. I laid the law down when I saw him last night.
When my brother talked to him and told him he better stop or he will be thrown out of Nashoba Park. I basically told him the same thing.
-
I wasn't a good girl at the Mexican Restaurant
((Sandy)) ((Deb))
(((TOL)))
-
So sorry Deb. Hope he listens.
So, Sheila, does that mean you are dating a Mexican now? Does Sam know?
Sandy, hope you feel well every day. I am always thinking of you and hoping your chemo is uneventful.
-
Sorry about your dad, Deb. Hope he doesn't do that again.
Hope the SE's stay away, Sandy.
Don't eat too much Linda or you'll have to do extra at the gym tomorrow.
Hope you enjoyed the Mexican restaurant, Sheila.
(((((((TOL)))))))
-
Diaaaaaane.....where arrrre yooooou?
Ducky - since you've already paid, are you considering going to the gym again?
I was too cold today to change into my exercise clothes. Tomorrow I will have to walk up and down the stairs a couple times to get warmed up enough to change... had ice cream tonight - need to burn a few calories tomorrow.
-
I had Kashi granola cereal and blueberries.
Heading to bed soon. Have a great night!
-
chris...................not sure what the hell I'm going to do................
-
We will be staying here on the 20th floor
Good Night♥
-
Before I forget, add one large can of diced tomatoes to the recipe!
-
Wow Sheila, that's going to be nice!
I pedaled 4.4 miles yesterday and when I weighed this morning I think I am actually down one lb this week. I've come to thr realization that I HAVE to exercise so I can eat a normal amount of food each day.
-
I want to go to Hawaii!
Congrats Meece, 4.4 is great!Off to gym for awhile. See you there Ducky!
-
Yay! Down a pound - keep 'em comin'. I think as we get older and our metabolisms slow, we need less food. So we can't keep eating the same amount of food we used to. I find I feel much better when I don't eat much. Good thing I don't like a lot of foods. Bad thing that I still like my sweets...
If you want, we can peer pressure you into going to the gym, Ducky... Maybe if you make yourself go back, you will eventually decide you like it. If you get into a routine of going, you might start to miss it when you don't go.
-
A pound is good....anything is good....
What a rain...here goes my beauty walk.......
i need to find myself...
Later.............
-
YAY for the pound!!!
Rain here too, I will be walking in the rain later ;(
