Good Morning ladies.................that's it..................................

What ducky said......
-
All right. Sheila and your Mr. Saxobeat. I found a YouTube video where someone was playing the sax part and someone kindly wrote the notes. I've been intrigued enough to take out DS's alto and tried to play it. A little tricky after not playing for 20 yrs, but kinda fun. Of course, DD is making fun of me and is on the phone with my mother who said it sounded like a bad clarinet (which was my main instrument in high school.) She still twitches to this day when she hears a clarinet squeak - a sort of ptsd reaction. I practiced a lot - apparently too much.
Now to try to get DS to try to play it. He never practices.
-
Whats wrong, Ducky? I need a laugh!
Post a video of yourself Chris!
-
Post a video of myself because you need a laugh?! lol

Ok, here I am.............so sore from bending over I can barely move..........want to know why.............ok, here it is.
Decided since I am going to WW, and want to do healthy snacks......I bought myself a "popcorn maker" from QVC......Looked fantastic on TV, and thought..........I need that.........well it came in the mail, opened it and it looked simple enogh........
Had 2 of my daughters over for dinner, which went quite well, considering I was trying to avoid a conversation about a "gyn date" with the 1 daughter and avoiding the "Termini's Cheesecake" that she broght for desert.
My 11 year old grandaughter spies the "popcorn maker", and says "oh wow Nan, is that the one you got from QVC"..............can we make popcorn.........figured, hell, why not, I'll humor her and try it for the first time.................
Well after figuring out how to work the thing, we put in the oil, then the popping corn, and proceeded to watch with baited breath as this thing began to heat up............finally "success", and everyone came running to watch the "show"................well as this metal rod moved around inside the thing (clear lid so we can see it).................this unholy machine began to make a noise, that could have only come straight from "hell".......................finally "horrah", the kernals began to "pop"..............................now I digress........................in the top of this unholy, noise from hell, making machine.........you put pats of butter.................well now my WW points system took a kick ;in the ass, but had to "humor the 11 year old with butter"
We were all "jolly" watching this thing pop all over, and thinking "yea popcorn in 4 minutes"......................well who realized that I had put the "popcorn maker" on the counter, which is right under the smoke detector".......................................need I finish telling you at that point what happened.................ok, I won't, no yes I will.......................everyone is yelling "from the "family room"..........................."Mom, what the hell are you doingin there, burning the friggin house down".
My son-in-laws.......come running in grabbing and swinging towels all over the ktichen to try to disberse the smoke.................................ok, its done now, and I'm thinking..............wow homemade popcorn.
Oh forgot to mention, where you put the butter in the top of the 'plastic lid there are holes..........................there is also a "cap" that goes on the top to cover the holes...........because the lid now becomes the "bowl" to eat from..................once you turn it upside down........................."great idea" think again..........................we put the cap on the lid to cover the holes..................now remember, I just told you the cap which we put on the holes, is now on the bottom of the bowl, to protect the "butter" from coming out the bottom...................................happy as a pig in "shit", my grandaughter picks up the bowl of popcorn, exits the kitchen to go to the family room, when I hear (from the kitchen)...................her mother say ..................................Makayla, where is the cap that is suppose to be on the bottom".........................frantically, I looked for it............only to find it next to the kitchen counter, where it had fallen off when she picked it up.................................
So you ask.............................what did I do today....................scrubbed my friggin floors.......................all day..........................have you ever tried to get a 1/4 lb. of melted butter off of "kitchen tile, and hardwood floors"................didn't think so.....................so ..............today QVC got their frigging Popcorn Maker" back, with a note inside that will probably put me in jail for terroristic threats............................and after I get the friggin pieces of corn husks out of my teeth and throat I intend to bring a law suit against.....................Orville Redenbacker..........for false advertising, saying "no hull popcorn"
What did I do today you ask.........................took 2 650 mgs. Tylenol Arthritis, ..............used my; Shiatsu massage pad.........so maybe just maybe..........................tomorrow when the "Drill Sargeant" calls and says "Mom I'll be there in 15 minutes for the gym",.....................I will be able to say...................screw QVC.............screw Orville Redenbacker..............and above all screw you Michele, and the frigging gym......................Amen...........where the hell is the Vodka..................................
-
That's what I'm talking about!! Ducky, you need to write a book!!
Hope you are degreased and antiinflamed! (and with some vodka)
-
Ducky I agree you need to save all your "stories" for you book...
Thanks guys
So Linda tell us the rest of the story, what did she say what did he say.....
Thanks Deb got the "pink sand" will take a pix of it and hopefully I will get it on here...
Went to the drs. and have sinus infection and she said she has no idea about the lungs, whatever....getting the med tomorrow, not going back out after a 1/2 hour, it is too friggin cold...
Hope everyone is ok!!!
Seyla.......{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}

She was dumbfounded and I changed the sugject. Talked to her sister and she knows. Oh well. It will be fun. About 100 of us going.
How was the funeral Sandy? GOod luck with your scans tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you!
-
I have no idea what Sandy & Linda talking about.............
-
Received a bill for lab work I had done in November. I never had to pay for lab work and according to my plan labs are covered. So I complained to BCBS on line. We'll see what they say tomorrow.
-
I get what Sandy is talking about - hugs, hugs, and more hugs Sandy. I don't know what Linda is talking about.
Why do I have houseguests when my house is far from finished?
Deb - My insurance has suddenly started rejecting things they have always paid for so I know how frustrated you must feel.
Chris - Gonna need you to put in some extra exercise for me this week
Thanks in advance!!
-
Deb.....It's not the lab work it's the lab that are not covering.
It happened to me with Quest Lab the test was cover but the insurance wasn't affiliated with that certain lab.
and how are we suppose to know that *&^%^&
After that incident i made sure my blood went to a different lab. i hope that what it is.
i never paid the bill because it wasn't my fault ............just venting.
Diane...why house guests???????
-
Hi ! duckyb1 ! your writings are very impressive,, if you dont mind.. I suggest you for script writing for TV shows, Films or theatre work as there is a big scope for earning too if you can make channel in that line. Doing so you can divert your mind from BC.
sneh..

Ducky - thanks for that story. It had me chuckling in bed and disturbing DH (who was snoring rather loudly so he needed disturbing).
I had something good happen last night, I found my wedding ring. It's been missing for almost 2 months. I thought I had accidentally thrown it away or something. Cleaned out my closet yesterday and was organizing my shoes when I spotted it amidst all my shoe clutter. Yay!!! Now DH doesn't have to buy me another one. He's excited too. I had told him to buy me another one after chemo done.
Speaking of chemo, heading for 2nd tx Wednesday, then I'll have only 4 left. Like counting them off.
Happy Monday!! Judy

I wrote this very long post and it disappeared. i don't feel like starting all over again except i just found out from DD that POC booked his vacation-wedding without telling even his own daughters.
Is it me or he could at least ask her older one if she wanted to go with them. Nothing no family values SLAP SLAP
Selfish Piece of &*&*%^
And he rents a condo on the north shore which is at least 45 minutes away without traffic.
i know it's none of my business and really it's not. But at least he could ask N my DD wouldn't stay with them anyway but it makes me sad. *&^&*&^%$%^&
N And I we are gonna rent a small studio with kitchenette in Waikiki...this way it's only 2 miles from Christine's house and i can be totally independent by going to the beach or doing anything else since no car is required
My daughter is right she said Mom i can't worry about everybody where they are staying,,,,, now they have to drive 45 minutes just to come down just to see his daughter.
North shore is beautiful but isolated and this not really a vacation it's a wedding why people are spread all over the island and one more think WHY DO I CARE?
Thank You for being my friends and listening to me.♥
I would like to have some feedback either way.
At least i know he won't be contaminating Waikiki. Stupid.........
-
Sorry Ladies i read all your posts...i wasn't ignoring you or anything
Judy you're so right ...ducky is ine of the funniest people I met in my life and i truly enjoy her sense of humor.
Sandy..will be thinking about you today hugs♥
It;s always good to see you raj.

Sheila - you posted 4 hrs ago? I was awake 4 hrs ago too (migraine) I should have come online... sorry about POC. maybe it won't be such a bad thing he's so far away - he won't have as much opportunity to make people mad.
I can't exercise for you, Diane, until my ankle is healed - another 7 wks hopefully. I asked Ducky if she would exercise for both of us! She's been going to the gym. Plus, she had to scrub melted butter off her floors the other day - that must have burned a lot of calories.
I think Linda was talking about the surprise b-day party for a friend - her DH spoiled the surprise by asking her to reschedule her party around the Patriots game. Sounds like something I would do.
Good luck today, Sandy. Hope those meds get rid of that sinus infection fast for you.
