How is your father doing Deb?
-
He is doing better, I thing he should go home, maybe there will be a meeting this week I want to get him out of there. ASAP! He was without a roomate for a while. Now there is a scary person in the next bed.
Thanks for asking♥
-
Me too Deb. That's how I spent my day. The weather was great for that. Thanks for the update on your dad, too bad about the scary person. I hope he gets to go home soon.
Good night!
-
Meece - my thoughts are with you along with many hugs. It sounds like your doc is ultra cautious in making decisions about you - I think I like that even though it causes some anxiety.
Sheila - how is your dad doing now? And no, you should not try for American Idol
Deb glad yours sounds better.
Sandy - Glad you found your sister. I hope you get to see her in person and that the aunt has some information that makes you feel good.
Chris - haven't seen you lately. Come back and visit.
Chabba - I think you might like cooking as much as I do! Are you signed up to meet up with the Crazy Sexy Cancer Seattle girls?
-
Diane - No, I've not even heard of them. Would love to meet you and some of the others on these boards, but neither I nor my car is currently up to a drive to Seattle. I am also not sure that I am up to driving in big city traffic any more. Even Olympia freaks me out any more after living in a town without a stop light for 20 years. lol
As to liking cooking - I like it enough to manage the kitchen at our local senior center and to cook Lunch on Thursdays and to be one of the cooks for Sunday breakfast. Thursdays I have an assistand and on Sunday I assist. I make the sourdough pancake and waffle batters, the sourdough biscuits and the sausage gravy. (my own recipes)
-
Chabba, the town I live in has one stop light, that's it. I've been here almost 20 years and love it. I hate the city. Good for you for managing the senior center.
Good morning all!
-
I grew up in a town with no stop lights until I was in my 20's. When I left there, at 41, it had two, and one of them was on the highway because they had built a K-Mart on the other side of it.
-
Seyla how is your father? Deb your dad is so lucky to have you....Thanks guys for your encourage, I think the ball is in her court, she was telling my brother about the phone call!!
-
Hopefully she will come around!
-
I feel beautiful today because i slept good
Light snow and raining.
My father is still in the hospital. Because of his swollen abdomen they did a cat scan but no results yet. He sleeps all day on the chair. It's sad. He needs to be in a Assisted Living or Nursing Home. I know he cant stay by himself anymore for many reasons....trying to cook and burn it because he falls a sleep.
The girl was coming 3 times a week 2 hours a day. He complaints about them. One left a new one came. There are no other family members close so I take care of everything. It sounds like I'm complaining yes I am.
Family of course needs to be updated which I like them all. i feel like I'm on the go all the time.
They thank me for everything I'm doing but i don't want Thanks i want somebody else be responsible for daily issues, Doctors. Translations,
most of his family is in Canada. One cousin lives in NJ.
I will talk to the Social Worker and his family wants me too about moving him to AL.
That's the story.
-
That is so tough, Sheila. I hope the social worker can help you out.
-
Meece...i dont mind doing things like write his bills, shopping etc...
But 100% responsibility is too much for me.
The hospital is not aware of his mental status, they are just treating his legs.
-
It is really tough when you have that responsilbilty because it takes so much time from every single day. They have to be aware that he is not in top condition, they are having to deal with him daily.
-
Meece Thanks.♥
Unfortunately he doesn't get alone (I don't know why) with his blood family lately.
He fought with his cousin and they are not talking. But I let them know he was in the hospital and they came to visit him yesterday. His nephew in Canada gets to anxious to talk to him so the wife does. He is a very difficult and know it all difficult man with no appreciation or anything.
OK....I will end this conversation before i really have an anxiety.(((MEECE))) ♥

Dreaming about my favor beach in Oahu.
See you later...................................
-
Your happy place, Sheila?
-
Yes Meece a very happy place.
Haven't your husband did some fishing there?
I placed phone calls to everybody in the hospital and waiting........
-
No fishing, we swam there, and DH did acrobatics off that big rock the picture is from.
-
All i need is an umbrella some Macadamian nuts and a cold beer.
-
Sounds relaxing. Soon, Seyla, Soon.
-
Nice place! Looks totally awesome especially since it's snowing.
-
The water can be a bit treacherous, but Dh and Iwould get up and go there about 6:30 or 7:00 in the morning. It was so peaceful.
-
Meece...My DD was saying the same thing about winter months but when I went in May it looked exactly like the picture. OOOOHH
-
I want to go there. Who has the plane?
(((((((Sheila)))))))
Sandy - I hope things work out with your sister.
Deb - I hope your father goes home soon.
Had my mammo today- Radiologist is 99% sure the calcifications she saw are nothing, but is recommending a stereotactic biopsy. I haven't heard from my surgeon's office to see what they say. This time it's the other side. Bummer.
-
(((((Chris))))) Hopefully the dr. is just being extra careful. When is the biopsy? I had calcs too it turned out to be nothing.
-
I'm starting an Excel class tonight. How pathetic am I that I'm more scared to go to that class than I am to have a biopsy?
-
I would be too. I could use an excell class. The last one I took was about 12 years ago!
-
Christc, I am in the same place as you are. It is the other side than the BC, but I went through the Bx 18 months ago for the same thing...I don't know why they feel that it needs the second bx right now. My appointment is on the 8th.
-
HUgs to you too Meece. Let us know how it goes. Boy, you sure do have a lot on your plate!
