Thinking Out Loud.....

Linda--sorry, but no warm weather down here.
It's about 37 degrees.........for us that's COLD:)
-
((((((Sheila)))))) hospitals are so frustrating. You have to sit around waiting all day to find out whether you need to do something for your patient or not. My FIL is in the hospital - they were going to do a PET scan - not sure if they have done it yet - and they were starting the process of finding a rehab facility to send him to. Waiting, waiting.
And don't feel stupid about the taxi.
Linda - congrats on your son's award. You must be proud. Always feels good when your kids are recognized for accomplishments.
Coonie - I'll send you some of my snow too. Although Linda will have so much, you might not need any more!
Such is the life living near the coast, eh?
I haven't even checked to see how much snow they're saying we're supposed to get.
-
I was there for few hours today.
He was still in ER.
Nurse just called finally they have a room for him.
Except his leg infection nothing else is wrong.
He is on IV Antiobotics, eating, not complaining about everything.
Actually I found him to be very pleasant and alert today.
Thanks God.
I did some shopping before I got back.
Chicken soup is boiling.
AG is smiling for $2.99
I got something else but I dont recall the name now, Looks like a potato.
Got baby bok choy. They had nice looking apricots and I also got blood orange and pink flesh orange. They looked so adorable.
-
I am treating myself with GF tonight
-
Did you get jicama (looks like potato)?
So glad things were pleasant with your father today - too bad it took so damn long to get a room. Why?
I love blood oranges - will you eat them or do something with them?
We are waiting for our snow, should begin soon. It will be nothing like what is happening on the east coast.
Did you take a taxi, I hope?
Linda and deb - how is the storm so far/
-
Yes jicama
what do I do with them?
If you like eggplant try the Dominican round one its practically seedless and meaty.
I dont know what to do with them. When I see this adorable colors i need to buy them.
Pink oranges look like pink grapefruits. This is the first time I noticed.
No I walked it s very close.
Our storm didnt start yet. I cant wait hahahahahahaha
-
Its small. They used to have big ones never bought them before.
-
Glad you made it through the day Sheila. I hope Dad is feeling better. School was just cancelled and we haven't even seen a flake! They never do that here. They are prediciting Thunder snow. I love that! That's when it can snow from 3-6 inches in like an hour! I love to hear the rumble of thunder too!
I love eggplant too. Yummy!
-
i know you love the lightening and thunder. Didnt you post a picture on FB last summer?
The banquet was cancelled?
-
I do love thunder and lightening and have posted pics of it.
The banquet is on Thursday night.
-
No snow here yet. I will probably have no work. I will find out in the morning
-
I am working double over time tomorrow.
-
I feel for you Linda.
-
Im having a glass of dessert
-
I'm thinking I will need a couple glasses of dessert.
My BIL gave me these funny coasters for Christmas. One of them says "Well, I guess I should go pour dinner"!
-
hahahahahahaha
-
Seyla, what is the website you check for airfare?
-
Never mind. i rememebred. Thanks
-
Prices are still high for me.
-
-
The jicama - I just peel and make long sticks about 1/4 - 1/2" thick - wonderful appetizer/snack/munchie. We squeeze lime on it and that is all. In the summer, I serve this together with radishes and a small pile of salt for dipping.
tonight I made spicy pork and eggplant - it was outstanding. I used chinese eggplant for this and it seems to get tender faster. I have to say "OMG" that was awesome.
-
Can you eat it raw?
-
you should only eat it raw
-
I had fish. I think I'm sprouting gills.
-
-
I know, Sheila, you already have gills!
-
And wings
-
OMG they are soooooooo good...........
-
yes they are but I only like the plain, or salted.
-
mine is cheddar.
