Thinking Out Loud.....

Is tonight the night where we can actually talk about OCG
I enjoyed the the lighting and i think it was on of the best ones. It was pure music for 2 hours.
2 of the singers are BC Survivors.

Our tree 2010
-
I think, in honor of my rough week, we should be able to talk about OCG
Lovely tree, looks just like mine will.

2010's First Christmas Joke
>
> Three men died on Christmas Eve and were met by Saint Peter at the pearly
> gates.
>
> 'In honor of this holy season' Saint Peter said, 'You must each possess
> something that symbolizes Christmas to get into heaven.'
>
> The man from Nova Scotia fumbled through his pockets and pulled out a
> lighter. He flicked it on. 'It represents a candle', he said.
>
> 'You may pass through the pearly gates' Saint Peter said.
>
> The man from Saskatchewan reached into his pocket and pulled out a set of
> keys. He shook them and said, 'They're bells.'
>
> Saint Peter said 'You may pass through the pearly gates'.
>
> The Newfoundlander started searching desperately through his pockets and
> finally pulled out a pair of women's panties.
>
> St. Peter looked at the man with a raised eyebrow and asked, 'And just
> what do those symbolize?'
>
> The Newfie replied, 'These are Carols.'

My DH didn't want to watch, what an efin pain in the a$$.
-
LOL!!! Good joke! You need to get your own TV, Deb!
-
LOL.... RCP. I got it on my both accounts. The one I emailed you thats the one I use it daily.
Yes Deb...electronics are really on sale now. Gift it to yourself for Christmas.
Remember last year Santa Claus was so good to me. He went to Amazon.com and got me a camera.
This year I dont know. I already got the TV. It was such a pleasure to watch the lighting on the new TV.
-
I do have my own TV, it's in the bedroom, I should have gone in there.
-
Deb, you didn't put enough emphasis on efin. It sounds too nice. Let;s go with EFFFIINNGGGG! And hell yes, get your own tv. No remote sharing.
I think I am sending Santa to Tiffany's this year, I have never had a Tiffany gift. He would be horrified upon seeing the prices and then delighted to buy me something else for less - it's a good strategy, I hope. Plus I will play the "I have cancer" card.....
Such a special evening, we went to Home Depot to pick out paint samples for the guest room because my FIL arrives soon. I am stunned my husband wants to paint it brothel red. Some negotiating will have to occur. I thought we would be stopping somewhere in case I can eat, but nooooo, the game is on!
-
BTW, RCG, I had to delete your email, my Norton Virus Scanner gave me a warning and Xed it RED. But I did read it and it was a riot.
-
Really? I am sorry! I have never had that happen before. My son has us so firewalled - I will definitely mention to him and have him check me out.
My DH has taken up breadmaking (in a bread machine) so I am going to have some pumpernickel/cherry toast now.....fingers crossed.
-
Tuesday the 7th we are have an employee Holiday Party at the Outlook @ Nashoba Valley Ski Area. This is the huge fireplace.
-
-
So Gorgeous - I don't remember that, where is Nashoba Valley?
-
What a serene place Deb.
RCP..Im glad you will be able to eat something if the bread maker makes the bread
Are you drinking enough fluids?
Make a shake with fresh fruit and drink it. You need your strength.
-
Having a difficult time with fluids and I certainly now how important they are. EVERYTHING tastes like metal. I think tomorrow will be much better. Breadmaker has finished the bread and is about to serve. woohoo!
-
Thats good
-
Good Night
-
Goodnight - sleep tight
-
Good morning! I am off to drop my son off at school and then to buy some Christmas presents. I like to shop early on weekdays so everyone else is at work.
Hope you all have a nice morning!
-
RCG, red is not always bad. This was my DSs room, we did two walls in the red and two in "Grecian Urn". It looks much better in person, but whe I turned it to the guest room it still worked.
-
Im not sure about red. Its not for me. But it looks nice on your walls Meece.
RCG..Are you sleeping?
Deb are you peeping?
Linda are you shopping?
The weather is not pleasant here. Chairs are flown. windows are shaking.
i cancel my DR appointment.
Now I have 3 of them this coming Tuesday. 12:15-1:00 and 2:00 o'clock the same area.
I'm in a mood for a nice crispy roasted chicken for tonight.
-
I like getting all my appt on the same day.
Seyla, if you knew how many coats of paint you have to use to paint over red (not to mention how many coats it took in the first place) you find ways to work around the color. I had the bedspread from when I staged our last home for sale, and it works. The room is ecclectic, and the table and Christmas tree don't belong normally, but I finally had a place to put my Granny Tree!
-
My sons room is now red. Very red! Before that it was white with an American flag hand painted on the wall. The flag went from the floor to the ceiling and covered the entire 14 foot wall. It was a big flag and VERY hard to cover in paint. Now you can buy Ben Moore Aura which is guarenteed to cover any color in one coat. I'm buying that when we get rid of the red. I like it!
I shopped. I'm done. Soccer at 6.
-
I like the red.
-
meece, that is a lovely red. Once we get the one he chose toned down from Santa Suit red, I will be very happy to have red as well.
feeling a bit better today, at least getting lots of appts and paperwork done or scheduled.
Kind of hungry actually.
-
Go eat!
-
Eat, eat, eat! Take advantage of your hunger!
Skid had red in her room in our old house, but it was more on the magenta side and only on one wall, the others were white. Too much contrast.
The only room I have left to paint is my sewing room and I have yet to figure out a color that coordinates with the rest of the house. Someday I'll either settle on a color, or have enough samples painted on the walls that the paiting is complete.
-
I am getting worried that my house is starting to look a little like a patchwork quilt. Kitchen/Dining/Living area are all a caramel/latte color. Powder room is bluish but not really, office is builder beige. I painted my bedroom pewter as well as my master bath. That probably sounds weird but it is gorgeous. The previously mentioned guest room is going to be a red that we agreed on and the bonus room will be rust. I know this sounds crazy but each room on it's own does look good. We have lived here for two years and regretted selling our previous home from day one. It finally hit me that I better make this more "us", our home, warmer than builder beige and white finally. My princess daughter can't decide but thinks she wants a color like my bedroom. We are waiting for her bedding to arrive to decide.
If I am going to lay around for part of chemo week, I might as well accomplish something.
We hardly eat red meat but I am going to tonight - and then, I will give it up....I think it is worth a try and hopefuly worthwhile.
-
The problem I am having with my sewing room is finding a color that coordinates. I have colors like "wicker" "barrel" "Barnwood" "grecian urn" Colors which are neutral but also add flair. But our master bed and bath are a tuscan gold but it still looks nice.
Oven baked chicken tonight.
