She is adorable.♥
I hope she doesn't have a rare type of C and she'll be fine.

I suppose I should be brave and say today went well, but it kind of sucked. I was gagging before I got there. My labs look awesome though, that is good news. My DH dropped me off for labs and then drove all over looking for a popsicle or fudgsicle for me during the infusion - after all that, it was so sweet, I had to toss it. I had some ativan and zofran and was still dry heaving. They put me in a room with Chatty Cathy with a voice that made me cringe - it was truly nonstop. I calmed a bit with the extra drugs, so we went forward but after, I was even worse, so they gave me more ativan. That helped. I am basically ok right now.
Given all the food I have been chowing, I expected a much more significant weight gain than 0.
Yesterday I did a few make ahead meals, so tonight we are having my wonderful chicken pot pie - it is really yummy and comforting.
La Nina is expected here this year which means tons of rain, snow, wind, ice and all the other things for which Seattle is woefully unprepared. December 2008, no power for 4 days. December 2007, no power for 13 days. On the east coast we just called this winter but here it has to be something more so it is a La Nina. I also never heard of black ice till I moved here, do you now have that on the east coast?
P.S. Who is little Jackie, please?
-
Yes, we have black ice. Many accidents are caused by that. It's treacherous!
Jackie is my 4 year old neighbor who has a rare tumor. SHe is doing chemo to try and shrink the tumor and then they will see what they can do after that.
I'm going to delete the pic of her now. Just wanted to quickly share what a cutie she is.
-
how many more chemo?????. Are you on that red devil thing? A/C
Chatty Cathy oh you're too much!!!!!!!
.
I was thinking the show Nanny when you mentioned the voice...hahahahahahahahahahaha
Black ice...I have to google that one so I can answer you.
-
Black ice is thin ice that is on pavement and looks black. It's very hard to see. It is sooooo slippery, cars skid, people fall.
RCG maybe you could borrow a laptop for your next chemo tx. That way you could ignore Annoying voice girl (AVG). We like acronyms here! Did I lose you Sheila?
-
YES LINDA
-
Four more chemo (8 infusions) - done early March and then on to rads.
Jackie is a little cutie - may she be the luckiest little girl alive.
Seyla, you ar right it was Chatty Cathy with the Nanny's voice. I should have remembered that since the Manny's voice is the same as the DIL's.
I really think black ice is a term that came about more recently...
My daughter, Casey, just reminded me that her boss's last day is tomorrow and that I promised (and I did) to make a plum cake AND a pineapple upside down cake for the party. I can say that at least one of those will be made twice so we can have one at home..
-
haha hahahahaa
-
Wow, major spelling issues above by me - must be the hunger. I meant to say Nanny, not Manny. H is off procuring the required maraschino cherries so I have a break again.
Am I correct, Linda is Makraz? I do have and bring my laptop. We were seated within 3 feet, it was impossible to avoid. Next time it is headphones. When my onc came in, he was annoyed too, so he closed the curtain which did shut her up for a bit.
OMG, I am watching national news - huge storm back east today? Everyone is fine?
I am not on red devil, I am on chemo light, CMF. I feel shameful for whining considering how much harder others have had it.
He did tell me today that I seem to be one of the CMF'ers who will keep my hair. That came up because I was wearing my tshirt that says "my oncologist does my hair". My hair is getting very dry and weird....ok cherries are here, only ones the husband will ever have
-
RCG, I think you should stop at the bakery and buy a cake!
Sheila, RCG is an acronym for Rain city girl, GF is an acronym for gold fish...................got it!
-
I sure will, you are so entertaining!!!
-
I always used the word Abbreviations and you didnt correct me?
RCG...Next time a good dose of Benadryl for her. She will be snoring. And you have all the right to whine no matter what type of chemo you are getting.
For me we were all DX with BC and went through and still going through the anxiety.
I dont write much about my fears but everytime I had a pain or something always think its related except my ear pain last week.......
-
Countdown began 13........
-
Abbreviations are shortened forms of words so technically AG is an abreviation for asparagus.
Hi Sandy!! Sandys favorite acronym is DQ! YUM!
Yes, Linda is Makraz. Sorry, we were posting at the same time.
-
Goodnight my friends!

Waiting for the Pumpkin Pie to bake, made cut outs in the shape of maple leaves for presentation

I feel like I have been sent to bed early....:)
Cakes are in the oven here.
-
I'm still up.
-
Well, this cake is definitely looking homemade - I tried to flip it a bit early and well, now I am letting it cool so I can "put it back together". It's just two pieces, no biggie.
Is DQ for Dairy Queen? If so, YUM is right. Butterfinger Blizzard for me please.
Seyla, I am convinced you don't require much sleep...
-
It's only 10:40.
I sleep late in the morning.
Im not a morning person.
I can go for a nice Carvel Sundae
-
We don't have Carvel.....cakes look awesome.
I am neither a morning nor night person. I just don't sleep well...
-
Did you make the Pineapple upside down cake?
With a little whipped cream OMG
-
I did, I made two - one for us and one for DD to take to the office. We are going to try ours shortly, and yes with whipped cream, a lot though, not a little.
-
Is there such a thing as just a little whipped cream. Your cakes and pies sound delicious.
Yes DQ is Dairy Queen, pecan mudslide for me.
Good morning. DH is in Chicago. I hate when he travels. Just a short trip though, he will be home Thursday.
