Thinking Out Loud.....

RCG (Raincitygirl) I am enjoying your additions here, because sometimes I get confused and don't ask. I do get PMs on occassion when I am really lost.
We give our little ones the regular sized GF. The baby ones could be accidentally inhaled or cause a chiking hazard. Something i need to be more aware of now that I am going to be a grandma!

Makraz - I grew up north of Boston in Danvers and started married life in Portland ME. Sure did miss the people of New England but not the cold or blackflies. Having so much rain here in Seattle though has made watching my kids play soccer not a particularly fond memory - driving through the park just the other day, a very beautiful park, all I could think of was standing there bundled up with garbage bags over me to watch those games. Don't miss it at all. Where are you?
Meece - happy to ask about all the abbreviations for my own benefit, but glad if it serves as a reminder for you.
I am all about food - cooking it, eating it, reading about it, any hint of culinary anthropology - I wish I could have been an Alton Brown...
Off to chemo shortly ladies - gagging just thinking about it. But yesterday, made three different comfort food meals (high calorie, carb rich) and so will come home with little to do but rest and eat and play cards or backgammon...
-
DD is flying over the Island of New Foundland from Heathrow, on her way to TX then Cancun to a sales meeting. My stomach gets butterflies when she travels.
-
Good Morning everyone....I see you are all up and going.
RCG.....I hope you have easy time with your chemo today. HUGS
MC is Milano Cookies from Pepperidge Farm.
Linda....You couldn't resist to explain OCF without getting excited lol
Meece...You are part of the family if you don't know just ask
-
LOVE Milano cookies - maybe later today
For now, I have to figure out what kind of popsicles to take to chemo. I have come to hate popsicles and ice.
Ok, can't put it off any longer - I have to leave in 30 min and haven't showered - with thinner hair, that is not so much a problem anymore.
What are your favorite comfort foods during chemo - I mean beyond cookies and GF
-
Deb....Are you peeping again?.
-
RCG, I am south of Boston, closer to Cape Cod. I have those black flies too! Good luck today with your xhemo. Your comfort food was a very smart idea!
Hi Peeper, Hope Rebekah has landed safely.
Okay no more mention of OCF for at least a month! I can't handle it!
-
I am planning to mention OCF, I have been craving it but for the salt. I am going to have some this week for sure......what the hell, might as well do everything possible to insure maximum weight gain. My reunion is in MA next summer, I just have to get some of it off by then
Makraz, onestep is also from the South Shore and is new on here - not sure if she is on this thread but she is very, very new.
Ok, just avoiding the inevitable - off I go. Damn it.
-
I haven't met onestep but will keep my eyes open!
-

-
My all time comfort food is Homemade chicken soup and Lentil with Acini pepe. ( Healthy ones )
I cook and freeze. I love it and of course one container goes always to DD.
-
Okay the last 2 days I turned out to be that potato.
Im turning it off.
To Be Continued later.....

-
Good by couch potato. We could cut you up and make french fries!
-

She is over Missouri now.
No sun in MA.
-
I should say flying over MO. Landing in Dallas TX.
-
LOL, I got that Deb. It's been steady rain here all day. yuck!
-
URGENT - PLEASE DO NOT CUT UP THE COUCH POTATO, I WILL BE NEEDING IT FOR A DAY OR TWO AND I CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY MY OWN WITH SO MUCH OTHER FOOD TO ACQUIRE....
-
How about Hash Browns?
-
Deb! You cut my couch potato - hash browns look yummy. I will have to find another - not giving up the couch tonight!
-
Oh, how I long to be a couch potatoe, even for one evening!!!
-
Although, I think my all time favorite would be oven roasted!
-
I baked my favorite potato, I think its called yuma or yama or something like that. I posted a picture long time ago it has a texture of a chestnut and is bright yellow after its cooked.
I'm very satisfied with my meal also had salmon and AG. I actually feel full which is a rare feeling for me.
GF is still sealed 2 days and 5 hours now....I guess miracles can happen.
RCG.....How was your treatment today?
Sandy post when you get the results.
Hi Linda
Hi Meece.
Deb is with air controllers.
I will be one on Wednesday, DD is coming back from Ireland
-
RCG ou are a funny girl!! Hope things went well for you today.
Hello everyone.
My little friend Jackie had her first chemo today. I hope she does well. I did not want to bother the family.
I wish I could send LS on a plane..................jk!
-
Hi Ladies - we did get a little snow this morning. I woke up to a loud gasp on the part of my son when he looked out the window. Scared me. It's funny how these kids get excited about the tiniest bit of snow - especially when it's going to melt quickly. DD stayed home today - didn't feel well - not sure what is up with her, but I think I'm sending her tomorrow. I keep telling her she doesn't get enough sleep or eat enough healthy food.
You guys are funny with your food talk. I didn't even know what Acini pepe is - had to google it. I'm a culinary ignoramus. We had eye round roast with mashed potatoes and carrots. Pretty plain.
-
Oh little Jackie. I was watching SJ hospital the other night its soo sad to see these little ones getting chemo, radiation. Thats why I support ST Jude.
I agree with Linda RCG is very funny. When you posted last night I said to myself I hope she stays and you did, we didn't scare you or anything. LOL
I think tonight we might celebrate 50.000 audience....hahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa
-
Hi chris...I'm glad you didn't loose us.
I was gonna open my MIA mouth tonight and calling for you.
I love your dinner. I didn't have a nice RB for a long time.
-
-
Hey, how did you get a pic of my pumpkin?
I give to St Judes too. Most of the time I can ignore alot of fundraising things, simply because I don;t have the funds to support them. I love giving to St Judes.
-
I sneaked in when you weren't watching
