I am still in a state of euphoria due to becoming an empty nester last Wednesday. I thought as I drove home from work how nice it was going to be to have the house to myself for 45 minutes before DH gets home. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh what a feeling of accomplishment to have all my little chickens out in the world on their own.
-
Sandy, there is only 4 more weeks of school left. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good for you Meece, I am soooooooooo jealous!!
-
It's only been 25 1/2 years of kids in the house!
-
That's a LONG time!! I'm only at 15 so I've got many more to go. I bet Sandy is close to you, and she's a Grandma too!
-
I am glad I started fairly young (21 1/2). When DH and I married nearly 5 years ago, we had someone at the reception ask us if we were going to have kids. I asked her if we looked insane! This close to an empty nest and start over???
-
I hear you on that one!! I had my first child at 28. So many people have them much later than that now. No Thank you!! I have a sister in law that is 22 years younger than my husband! My MIL was my age now when she had her! NO THANK YOU!
-
I got married at 19, and thought I was so smart for waiting to have babies. A whole 2 1/2 years! DH has three older siblings, he is 9 years younger than the next one. When he came around his dad was through with all the father-son sort of stuff. I feel sorry for him.
-
I'm sure that just made him a better dad. My DH's dad was a horrible dad, never there. My DHis the best dad, he learned what NOT to do from his dad!
-
I don't know about that. DH has children who treat him very poorly, so I have no idea what happened. He is a pushover, and when I came into his life, I would not be pushed over, so they just take it out on him.
-
Well, then I am so glad he met you!!
-
I got married when I was 19 also, had Rebekah when I was 24, we wanted more when she turned around 3 years old but after I miscarried at 12 wks I just never conceived. I had a whole bunch of tests but nothing happened. Oh well, what will be will be. She is 34 now, I know she wants children but she just has not met the right guy. Her first DH was a DH. (dick head)
-
I am glad as well.
I am sorry for your loss. I lost my only daughter at birth, but if she had lived, I might never have had the other two boys, so I figure it was in God's plan.
-
Good Morning Ladies! I hope you all have something fun planned today!
-
Work...no fun at all. Good Morning!
-
Wow, you're an early bird!!
-
I have to leave for work in just over an hour. I wake up at 5, putter for and hour then get ready for work.
-
Good for you. I get up at 5:45 and scream at the kids to get ready, eat, get their homework, lunches, don't miss the bus, See why your nest is looking so good to me!
-
From 6:00 to 6:35 we have to work like a well oiled machine. I jump in the shower, DH shaves, I jump out, he jumps in, I dry my hair, he's out and using the iron, I dress, he dresses, I put on my make up he checks things around the house. We walk out to my car, say goodbye and I leave. DH hangs around another fifteen minutes or so then off to work.
-
Yep got married at 19 had son at 21 he is 35 and then daughter 32 another daughter 28 and then the twins 12 years later, they are 16. That is what I said on FB been dealing with school for 30 years. Jamie graduated in June of 1999 and they twins started kindergarden in September of 1999...they are now in 10th grade.....This morning did an IEP meeting over the phone at 9.......got the grandchildren and watched them until 230 then went to an IEP for another parent at 315, went to walmart to get the dulcalax for this stupid colonospy, took the car back to daughter, went to vote came home started taking the pills.....talked to another parent about her IEP meeting tomorrow morning and am finished taking the pills and that is about it...
Sandy
-
WOW Sandy, that's enough!! Maybe I should have you go to my IEP meetings with me!
-
I don't have to go to IEP Meetings anymore, nanny, nanny, nanny!
-
