I am still in a state of euphoria due to becoming an empty nester last Wednesday.  I thought as I drove home from work how nice it was going to be to have the house to myself for 45 minutes before DH gets home.  Ahhhhhhhhhhhh what a feeling of accomplishment to have all my little chickens out in the world on their own.

I am glad I started fairly young (21 1/2).  When DH and I married nearly 5 years ago, we had someone at the reception ask us if we were going to have kids.  I asked her if we looked insane!  This close to an empty nest and start over???

I hear you on that one!!  I had my first child at 28.  So many people have them much later than that now.  No Thank you!!  I have a sister in law that is 22 years younger than my husband!  My MIL was my age now when she had her!  NO THANK YOU!

I got married at 19, and thought I was so smart for waiting to have babies.  A whole 2 1/2 years!  DH has three older siblings, he is 9 years younger than the next one.  When he came around his dad was through with all the father-son sort of stuff.  I feel sorry for him.

I'm sure that just made him a better dad.  My DH's dad was a horrible dad, never there.  My DHis the best dad, he learned what NOT to do from his dad!

I don't know about that.  DH has children who treat him very poorly, so I have no idea what happened.  He is a pushover, and when I came into his life, I would not be pushed over, so they just take it out on him.

I got married when I was 19 also, had Rebekah when I was 24, we wanted more when she turned around 3 years old but after I miscarried at 12 wks I just never conceived.  I had a whole bunch of tests but nothing happened.  Oh well, what will be will be. She is 34 now, I know she wants children but she just has not met the right guy.  Her first DH was a DH. (dick head)

    I am glad as well.

I am sorry for your loss.  I lost my only daughter at birth, but if she had lived, I might never have had the other two boys, so I figure it was in God's plan.

From 6:00 to 6:35 we have to work like a well oiled machine. I jump in the shower, DH shaves, I jump out, he jumps in, I dry my hair, he's out and using the iron, I dress, he dresses, I put on my make up he checks things around the house.  We walk out to my car, say goodbye and I leave.  DH hangs around another fifteen minutes or so then off to work.
