Thinking Out Loud.....

Not me. I never tried to freeze AG.
I am going to plant a Herbal Garden this year. I already have sage, anise hyssop, chives and garlic chives, lemon balm, thyme, rosemary, parsley, tarragon, 4 different types of mint, lavender, sweet basil. When the weather gets warmer I will plant my sweet basil I also have fennel and dill coming up.
-
Sounds great Deb. I always have basil and parsley in my kitchen. I would love an herb garden, but then so would the rabbits, deer, skunks, turkeys, etc.
-
We have skunks and possums in our area, but they don't usually come through the neighborhoods. We have a guy who owns a wildlife control business one block down, so maybe they critters know not to come through.
My garden is going great so far. I have zucchini blooming, and have been harvesting beets, peas, carrots, and onions this week. I have cilantro and parsley as well, but haven't started my herbs yet.
-
Sounds awesome Meece. I just planted Tomatoes, eggplant, basil and peppers. WAY too early for the Boston area but I do that every year! Just have to be careful for the frost. I went out this morning and something already ate one of the pepper plants!
-
I miss Sheila! I hope she is having a safe flight.
-
It's amazing how active she is on the boards! I miss her, too.
I also have okra, egg plant, asparagus, potatoes, strawberries, pear, cherry, and grape tomatoes, purple tomaotes, roma tomatoes, zucchini, crrok neck, and cucumbers. I love eating fresh vegies!
-
Me too! It's a good thing you live in CA where you have a longer growing season. Can you grow veggies year round?
-
-
Oh well, I tried. It's supposed to be a Hawaiin picture.
-
I just had some delicious Californian Strawberries, the native ones in Massachusetts will not be ready until next month.
Will Sheila let us know when she is settled in?
-
I sure hope so. It's a long flight so who knows when we will hear from her. Sheila's birthday is Sunday too!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHEILA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Imagine a picture of a birthday cake here)
XOXOXO
