-
Thanks Deb!
-
Deb glad to hear about your dad, and my onoc. never does that went last week, he presses under my arm at the lymphnodes...Seyla....the beach always makes me feel closer to something not sure what it is, but alllllllll that water is very intimidating.....Maks did she answer you (Sey), lol!!!!
-
Not yet, but I am holding out hope. I hope she is too busy at the beach to respond to me!

I get a full breast exam each visit to the onc. Including the armpit/node region, which I absolutely hate. I am very ticklish, but also I still have pain in the node area. Figure that out, six years down the line! Maybe we should plan to have a margarite or two before our onc appointments!
-
Im getting little confused with this time difference. I,m awake its 7:00PM here. Just came back from the beach.
Sandy I feel very close to God when Im in the water. I said a prayer for all of us. Then I got mushy.
Deb..glad for the good news.
Meece....You can eat or drink anything you want
Good Luck with all the squeezing. 2 more is coming for me this summer. Oncologist and BS.
They all press the lymph node area too.
Between all of them I get 6 Breast exam each year.
I need a Mamo in June, I should make the appointment before I left.
Have a nice Friday Ladies.
-
I figured out Friday 3PM there, I would be waking up here.

Just in time for the kids to be getting off the bus. My oldest has a half day today. He wants to do lunch with me and my Mom. WOW! Can't believe it!
Have fun Sheila!!

I am officially and empty nester! Last night DS#3 came over and got the last of his "stuff" and I made him one of his favorite dinners. I vacuumed the room out, washed the prints off the door jambs and washed the base boards. Now I need to clean the carpet and I will be making it a guest room!
I can't wait to see how things will stay where I put them, and stay clean! I should celebrate this weekend. And I probably will, by cleaning the bathroom and that carpet!!
Have a great weekend ladies. Seyla, you keep on having fun, we're all there with you vicariously!
-
Meece, Congrats on the room and the empty nest. I can't even imagine that at this point. I'm still tripping over leggos and star wars guys!! Enjoy the clean room.
-
Me I have no feeling since I had the lymphnodes taken out 14 years ago, empty nester how is that? Sey keep having as much fun as you can cause I am living through you on that beach....have to work in Bridal tonight and boys havea hockey game, always hate missing their events....til tonight...have a wonderful day!!

Back from the oncologist all is well. I will see her in 6 months now. She also gave me a lab requisition for November 12th for a lot of blood work. When I was dx I did have a CEA test which was 1.3.
The requisition is for Calcium levels, Vitamin D levels and also CEA, CA15-3 and CA 27-29, hopefully everything will be OK.
-
Great news Deb!!
I will check out your facebook, Sandy.
-
yes Deb everything will be alright..k..Mak!!!
-
I never had the CA15-3 and CA 27-29 blood tests done, I hope it is just routine.
-
Deb....I get those tests every 4 months. They are routine.
I dont know about CA15-3, maybe I had them. They are Tumor Markers test.
Hi Ladies....I will miss this weather. Tonight we went to a Luau on a secluded beach.
Finally I saw the whole pig coming out from the underground, cooked almost 12 hours.
Then the show on the beach, barefoot, eating drinking, music......it was a beautiful night and some beautiful memories, Joe is very funny.
Huuuuuuuugs

Did have a good day but so glad you did. yea pix for sure.....I have the ca-27-29 test done all the time don't know what the other one is....
CA 15-3 is not sensitive or specific enough to be considered useful as a tool for cancer screening. Its main use is to monitor a person's response to breast cancer treatment and to watch for breast cancer recurrence. CA 15-3 is sometimes ordered to give a doctor a general sense of how much cancer may be present (the tumor burden). CA 15-3 can only be used as a marker if the cancer is producing elevated amounts of it, so this test will not be useful for all breast cancer patients.
When is it ordered?
CA 15-3 may be ordered along with other tests, such as estrogen and progesterone receptors, Her2/neu, and gene expression tests for breast cancer, when advanced breast cancer is first diagnosed to help determine cancer characteristics and treatment options. If CA 15-3 is initially elevated, then it may be ordered periodically to monitor the effectiveness of treatment and to detect recurrence. CA 15-3 is usually not ordered when breast cancer is detected early, before it has metastasized, because levels will not be elevated in the majority of early cancers.
there ya go!!!
-
I GOOGLED the tumor marker tests and got alot of information. I'm sure it is routine.
-
Good Sunday Morning everyone. The weather is beautiful, not quite like Hawaii, but FANTASTIC for MA. I think I can smell Debs bacon and eggs!
-
Good Morning All
Im fine and didnt have my coffee yet.
My appetite is fully back. I had this delicous grease food yesterday. fried sweet potatoes and a burger covered with blue cheese sauteed mushrooms and onions.
But I choose the healthy wheat bun hahahahahahahaha
Life is good. I have some hives on my neck area. Im not sure if the sun caused it or the amount of macademia nuts I consumed in that short time. Its itchy too.
Today we are taking it easy.
I hope everybody is fine.
now we sing for Susan Lalalalalalalala laaaaa lalalalalaa lalala laaaaaaaaaaaa
Sorry about no picture yet. DD was going to take a picture with her phone and email it to you.
