Deb,
I will be thinking of your Dad. I hope they take good care of him and figure out what is best for his heart. Did he hurt anything when he fell? I sure hope he is okay.
Deb is not MIA!! She is here. I just realized I'm posting but theres another page I have not read. I will return!
-
Great to see you Foots!! We miss you!!
XOXOXO
Linda -

-
I meet you for lunch right under that tree. I really want it.
-
I will be there, tell me what to bring.....I am here, working yesterday, today and tomorrow and going to meetings with parents and to get information...catching up reading, hope your dad is ok, Deb....how is everybody???

Nice juicy watermelon and change of clothes just in case if we all decide to stay there for a day or so.
-
Where are all the cute men at the beach to have lunch
with? Need to go and rest. May this be a wonderful lunch.
With all Your love You share here.
-
Foots.....you should really check LIFE IS A BEACH, they are all there for tomorrows Beach Party.
Good Night All!♥
-
Thank you to all my BC buddies♥ I have to come to reality, my Dad is 82 and has a lot of health issues so one of these days my Mom is going to call to him to be with her and the Lord. :-(
-
Coumidan is not an option for my Dad because of his falling. That is what the nurse told me. He also has to be careful because he has an abdominal aneurysm, 5cm.
-
Deb....I think Assistant Living is the best choice. You know he's been taking care of when there is an emergency. You cant be with him 24 hours a day.
I think my father feels so lonely that all he things is his health. Language barrier is the biggest problem for him. Otherwise for a 84 year old man he handles his business fine
-
Good Morning All! It's so nice to see Foots back on this thread!! Foots, maybe you could bring some of the men!! I don't think my DH would appreciate me bringing any to the party. I will bring him, though!
It's got to be difficult to watch your parents fail. I am not there yet, or maybe I am it's it's just the beginning. My dad is a cobbler and now has arthritis and I know it's so hard for him to use his tools. He and My mom both have it in there hands now. He is 78 and she is 74. My Mom still plays tennis in a league with 40 year old women. She is amazing! But to watch her hands start to not work, not fun!
I hope your fathers get the care they need. I know they are both loved. And Deb, I know it's hard to lose a parent, but think about how happy your Mom will be to have him back.
Hi Sandy, Boy, you are keeping busy!! That's so good for you, it keeps you young and healthy!
-
I dont know whats wrong with my brain, the first thing I look is your post in the morning.
I read it and forgot to write back. Maybe this is a aging thing lol.
No plans here yet unless I want to be a fish to swim or bird to fly. Very windy.
I can jump in a bus but summer stuff is not really out yet. Even if they are still no sale on them.
I got to get some shorts and other things before I go away.
Sandy will tell when there is another one day sale at Macy's.
Deb...I hope everything is better with your father.

Good Afternoon BC Buddies,
Looks like my Dad is going to stay for a while in the hospital, he was up most of the night vomiting and there is color/blood in it. As I type he is going to have a upper GI scope test done to see where it is coming from. Does not look good. I will know more when the results come back. My brother (Bob) is the Health Care Proxy and I am Durable Power of Attorney. After the hospital stay my Dad will be going into Rehab which he is not happy about, his reason is he has to wait too ling for his food, LOL.
-
At least your dad still has a sense of humor. I'm so sorry that heis going through this, that you all are. Hang in there.
Same here Sheila, the weather is horrible!
-
I am so hungry I can cry.
Deb...Let us know as soon as you get some results.
-
Don't cry, EAT!!!
-
I need greasy food. I need salty junks chocolate cake or any other rich cake.
Instead I'm making some eggs and a slice of high protein bread.
I cant even take a walk it got very ugly outside, umbrella will fly.

Thanks Sheila!! I wish the cake was real and you were all here to eat it with me!! YUM!! DH and I are going out to a quick dinner while my younger sons goes ice skating. Maybe I will order cake. Carrot cake is my favorite!
-
Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Just got home from visiting my Dad and grocery shopping. He has a hiatal hernia and on that he has a ulcer/lesion. So they will give him some meds for that. He has a whole page list of meds he has to take. He will still be in the hospital for a few more days then off to rehab. He slept most of the time we were visiting him.
-
Glad to hear you are taking good care of your Dad Deb. I hope he is feeling better soon.
-
Deb...Glad they got the bottom of this quickly.
So many people dont have power. We got couple mini power outages, it messed up my computer finally I turned it off. so far so good nothing happening.
How was your dinner Linda?
Hi Sandy
-
Dinner was good, I was totally bad! I never eat crap so I did for my birthday! I got prime rib! MEAT!!! Haven't had that in ages!! AND I washed it down with 2 margaritas!! I'll be paying for this tomorrow!
Did you lose your power?
-
Birthdays and vacations are exceptions.
I'm not dieting when I go away. doesn't mean i will eat every crap but I need to be Happy too.
Linda..I didn't loose my will power, because there is no junk food in the house.
I have OR 100 calories single serving pop-corns.
Had chicken tenders with baby spinach salad and a tomato.
Edited to say I thought you meant my will power LOL
And I had those WW Eclairs I ate 2 of them. They are like bite size.
Now Im drinking water again.
IT SUCKS BIG TIME>
-
I will go back to spinach and water tomorrow! Eclairs sound yummy too!
