I couldn't eat oatmeal either until Linda always said good things and how tasty it was.
Started couple of weeks back. I love it. Love it even more because thats the only food keeps me full for at least 4 hours.
I want some of Debs corned beef. DD is working tomorrow. but I really want it. I can get a small one so I cant OD on it.
-
Oatmeal is good for you! Potato chips taste better!! LOL!
Hope you all have a Happy St. Patricks Day!
Good Night! I'm having hot flashes so I'm going to lay by my fan.XOXO

Sandy, ehy not start walking? Just start with a real short walk. Walk with a friend or walk alone. Bring headphhone and listen to music or leave them at home and listen to nature. I started walking several years ago and I would take short walks. Now I can walk 5 miles very easily, sometimes more. The best part is I feel so energized when I'm done! I know, I sound like a geek!
-
Hi Sandy.....Between Femara and other medicines I take is so difficult to loose weight.
My biggest help is my walking and cutting all snacks and everything else. Still after loosing 10 pounds I remain the same weight. Maybe I should be climbing the trees few times a day. LOL
-
Good Night Sandy
Good Night Foots
Good Night Linda
Good night Deb

Another long walk is in order.
Im still having difficulty to wake up in a decent time.
Linda....I wish we could walk together.
Hi Sandy.
Hi Deb.....Are you okay?
-
Me too!! Enjoy the day!
-
Oh Boy 72 today. I didn't want to come home.
It felt really good. I got some fish and piece of steak, don't know which one to eat.
I had a really small snack, handful of almonds.
how was your day?
-
my day was awesome actually, had a grandfamilies day at my grandsons preschool so they sang and counted and did the alphabet for us, then home to try to get him to nap and then baseball with twins....yea it is almost spring if it is baseball, no more snow.......as far as the weight I have gained 5 lbs if I didn't say that and I also have thyroid issues and I don't really eat that much!!! 70 today, almonds, think I like them.....can't smell or taste anything for over 2 years, it really sucks, the tasting thing more than the smelling part, don't expect it to ever come back....oh life!!!
Deb, are you ok, noticed you were not in, today......
Sandy

70's here today too! Just got back from my 5th graders "Wax Museum" He was Edgar Allen Poe. They all did a great job!
On another note, do you remember me telling you about my Aunt that had Colon-rectal cancer? Well she had a petscan this past friday and her tumor shrunk from 10 cm to 4 cm!! I'm so happy for her. She gets a 2 week break from chemo, and then starts another round. Keep her in your prayers!
Hope you all enjoyed the day!
-

Which reminds me, How is yoru facebook page coming along? Maybe you, Sandy and Foots can make one??
My cousin is doing well. She had two lumpectomies and started rads this week. She seems like she is in a good place. I remember being a basket case when I was starting rads, but she seems okay with it.
I'll meet you for that walk!
-
-
Hmmmm..................... so you've started it but can't figure it out? I know, I know!!! When you go to Hawaii, have your DD set it up for you!
-
I remember being so cold when they were doing the measurements or whatever the real word is.
They actually had to make a cast waist up because my tata wasn't cooperating.
I n that ice room they started to make the cast and the cold water I thought I was going to loose it. But Im here little nut case but here. I never brought that cast home.
-
Do you mean when they measure you for rads and give you tatoos? What did you have a cast for? My tata's are too small to misbehave! LOL!
-
My tata was slightly falling to the side. They are kind of big. hahahahaha
How many hands were shifting my tata that day.
I know i asked this question before but what tatoos stand for exactly.
-
tatoos...........body painting? You know what a tatoo is! I wish I could post a pic. Maybe I will email one to you. My rad onc had to put very small tatoos on me so that they could line up the radiation thingys to the appropriate places.
-
Yes..I know what tatoo is.
radiation tatoo Dont remember it. I know they were markings and I have been told not to scrab that area hard during shower.
By the end of the week they were not very visible.

Hi All,
My Dad's dementia seems to be getting worse or maybe it is just not so familiar surrounding at he rehab. Although he has been there many many times. His breathing is labored at the slightest little task and his oxygen levels drop. He did PT and OT today but he just gets too tired and is in a nasty mood. He was refusing to let anyone clean him and help him brush his teeth, finally I had to lay the law down and talk to him like an adult would talk to a child.
I said he had to cooperate with everyone to get his strength back in order to go back home and that that is their job.
So I went to his apt and took more clothes back for him and when I got there he said, "I took a shower!" That made me feel better cause I was ready to take my xanax if he was still refusing help, he was actually yelling at the people trying to help him. I guess that's the dementia.
-
I am going to bed early, I am mentally and physically exhausted, even my boss noticed. NITE.
-
Deb...I know how difficult this is for you my friend.
Sending you Love and lots of Patience.♥
I'm posting a picture for all of us when we need to be alone and a peaceful place to go.........
