Ok who is going to watch Survivor with me?

Can you tell I am pouting right now. I so enjoyed Coach and his ramblings. But he didn't leave us without delivering exactly the speech we would have expected. Surely he will have a great question to ask at the end!
That Stephen better not turn on TJ. But TJ almost blurted out that he wouldn't take him to the finals...so can't blame Stephen if he does turn. And Erin will do whatever it takes to stay.
-
I'd like to see TJ and Taj as the final two. With TJ winning. Love farm boys.
During the wrap up and final questions from the jury what do you wanna bet coach goes off
on a diatribe and Jeff has to put the breaks on his mouth.
I can see it now. The guy loves to hear himself talk his own planet talk.
The guy has issues.
TJ all the way. I hope.
*
And I HOPE the WINNER is . . . . .
-
This is not a good sign. Sigh.
I just read an up to the moment interview with Jeff P. regarding tonight's finale.
Beginning at 7PM here on our West coast till 10PM.
Anyway here is the one question and answer that sent up my hinky meter.
1. What can we expect from the finale?
There's a pretty decent betrayal in the finale. I think it will shock a lot of people, and then for others they'll say "Doesn't surprise me at all."I like the final four ... It's been a pretty remarkable journey for them because there were these two tribes, this Timbira tribe that had the numbers, and all they had to do was pick off the Jalapao people and they would be sitting really pretty. But 'Survivor' has this great element to it and that is there's only one winner, and so no matter how strong your alliance is, somebody's always on the bottom of that alliance ... The thing you can count on is somebody [realizing], "I don't like being on the bottom, so I'm going to the other side," and then you have your twists and you're back in the game. "
*
Wholly iguana's. It makes me think TJ will be betrayed. Maybe Taj wins. That would be OK but I am really hoping TJ takes it all the way home. I have a feeling Stephen or Taj talk the other three into voting TJ off. Could be wrong. I hope so.
I wish everyone a Happy weekend day. Triple digits here so trying to get everything watered and in the shade.
PS. I read somewhere that someone wrote in to have Survivor in the arctic. I don't think I'll sign up for that one. Ice fishing would be fun tho'
-
Oh - it's on tonight! Thanks for the reminder otherwise I would have missed it! I rarely watch tv, especially on Sunday nights. Can't wait to see how it all plays out!
-
Oh, thanks for posting the pic of JT. Love him! Won't say anything more in case some of you have TIVO'd the finale and haven't watched it yet. Very good indeed!
-
YEAH!!! Loved that JT won!!! Until fall....
-
What was up with JT and Stephen? When JT mentioned starting a business with him, Stephen seemed surprised. And JT mentioned that Stephen has become the best friend he ever had?
-
out of town for Thurs survivor and final show--just home today and finished watching--thank god the dvr recording worked and wasn't interrupted by weather or other shows running over. Am on a semi-high from watching 3 hrs of Survivor (ff'ing through the commercials!!!). I am glad that JT won, and also won the extra 100,000--he was such a popular player. Not all that happy to see Stephen in the final two--had thought he should have been voted off long ago! But, it's over and done with and what a great show this one was!!! Now, on to Samoa--see you all later!!!!
hugggssssss, junie
-
Junie, I too just watched last nite. I was surprised at how Stephen turned on JT and then tried to blame it on him, saying he started it! And you know darn well, Stephen would have taken Erinn to the final two. Oh well, tis all over with and JT is the winner......Woooo Hoooooooo! As humble as he is, I thought he might have given the $100,000.00 to someone else. Another thing, is this guy a doll or what????
See you all in the fall.....
Lori
-
Talk about Bromance!!!!! JT & Stephen!!! They reminded me of an old married couple at the final tribal council. I am very happy JT won, not very happy about the betrayal of Taj. They could have done it differently and sent Erin off first.
It was fun watching and now have to wait for the Fall. Dancing With the Stars tonight and then I am free of the reality shows for the summer (until America's Got Talent starts up).
See ya then!

When I was dx'ed in 2002, I would sit in front of the TV with my sis every week in my survivor buff (couldn't stand the wig) for that hour of pure escapism. Damn disease leaves nothing and noone unscathed.

Survivor's Ethan Zohn Has Cancer
By Mark Dagostino
Ethan Zohn, the curly-haired soccer player who battled the elements and outwitted opponents to win Survivor: Africa, is facing his toughest adversary yet: cancer.
On April 30, Zohn was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin's disease. The diagnosis came after months of unexplained itching and night sweats, originally thought to be a skin condition. Doctors discovered a swollen lymph node under his left clavicle, and a CT scan revealed a mass on the left side of his chest. Then, just last week, Zohn learned he is suffering from a rare form the disease called CD20-positive Hodgkin's Lymphoma, for which he began chemotherapy last Friday.
"This is the ultimate game of Survivor," Zohn, 35, tells PEOPLE exclusively, "and there's really only one outcome, and that's to win. There's no other option."
Hodgkin's disease is a cancer of the body's lymphatic system with survival rates reaching as high as 90 percent. Zohn was told that the CD20 diagnosis, which affects around five percent of all Hodgkin's patients, has a similar cure rate, but is treated with an altered, more aggressive, three-month chemotherapy regimen. "They're going right after this," he says.
The chemo is expected to knock the always active and otherwise fit Zohn mostly out of commission for a few months, with nausea and weakness among its side effects. And he's expected to lose his famous mop of hair within two weeks.
Zohn's longtime girlfriend, Survivor: The Amazon winner Jenna Morasca, 27, is vowing to be at his side throughout the process. "I will fight with every fabric of my being to get him through this," Morasca tells PEOPLE.
Educating, Inspiring Others
Both Zohn and Morasca lost parents to cancer. Zohn's father died of colon cancer when Ethan was 14. Morasca's mother died in 2003, after a 12-year battle with breast cancer. "Our only point of reference with this situation is death," says Morasca.
Upon hearing the diagnosis, says Zohn, "My life flashed before my eyes." But in the roller coaster of emotions that followed, Zohn came to a conclusion: He wants to use his battle with cancer as way to educate and inspire others.
"This is happening for a reason," he tells PEOPLE. "You have to get spiritual about this [stuff]. I know I want to help people and inspire people. That's my purpose in life. So I need to use this as a platform."
Zohn, who has worked to raise money and awareness for AIDS relief in Africa through his Grassroot Soccer charity ever since winning Survivor's $1-million prize in 2002, had his first chemo treatment in Manhattan last Friday. Doctors inserted a small, octagonal port in his chest through which the chemo will be administered "like a fast-filling station" every two weeks. "It looks like I have a third nipple right now," says Zohn. "You can call me trip-nip!"
He'll face the loss of his hair with the same bravado. "My hair is my identity," he admits. But rather than find "long, disgusting Ethan Zohn hair all over my house," he's decided to shave it off in the next few days: "I'll get a mohawk or something fun that I've always wanted to do."
That's just fine with Morasca. "I so love the bad-boy look," she says. "I'd have him get a tattoo and a nose piercing, too, but he's not into it."
Bad-boy looks or not, Zohn says he feels well-prepared for the long fight ahead. "I've got good family and friends, and I'll roll with the punches as it comes to me. That's how I work in life. I'll take it on like a real game of Survivor," he says, adding: "I'm not getting voted out of this one." -
JT WON. YAy * yAY * YEAH * YAY * JT so deserved to WIN.
-
hey, Survivor Fans--am I correct in thinking that the new season starts this Thurs, 17th??? Have a note on my calendar, but don't know when I jotted it down, and not seeing any tv ads for it....I hope so--life will be good again!!!!
junie
-
Yes Junie, this Thursday! It will be our "new" Thunderous Thursday......LOL.
See you then.
-
There is a new survivor starting this Thursday, am looking forward to it. Any others?
-
Me too ... have never missed a season... Love it, love it, love it!!
-
I'll be watching!!!
-
Looks to be another fun season. First show was great and already can't wait 'til next week. Watched a preview this afternoon; a couple changes this year--no exile island and each tribes' hidden immunity idle will be hidden at the opposing team's camp. Here's what I got from tonight's show......Russell promises to be the most conniving asshole yet on the show. He thinks he will win through his deviousness and evilness, but think he will get a quick come- uppance. His flat out lie about being a Katrina survivor whose dog drowned and he was stranded on the roof of his house for two days went way past Johnny Fairplay's telling everyone his grandma had just died!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking forward to watching it all play out....
junie
-
I'm watching too! I just love reality shows! That Russell is some character!
-
I watched Survivor and it's gonna be a good one! Junie, I hear you about Russell...I hope the rest catch on! However, I don't think he'll get too far. How can anyone ever do the things he's already done...like emptying all their water out and burning socks! What a weasel!!
I can't wait for next week either. I felt sorry for the girl who was so prematurely voted out, on account of Russell heart full of vengeance! He.. he won't last that long, and I hope they'll find the real Russell next week!
Char
-
Now I have someplace to talk about Survivor. I watched this show since it was started with the nude guy Richard. This year I noticed most of them are young. But they have personalities.
It will take me few episodes to remember their names. I loved the Samoa Island the water was so green. Okay thats it. I usually tape it and watch it after.
If anybody is a fan of American Idol or 24 we can start a group in January
Sheila
-
I just LOVE Shambo! I hope all the 20-somethings don't get to her and they vote her out!
Russell, well, like everyone else has stated, how can one be SO evil? He's a millionaire??? As they say, money can't buy you class.....
-
Hello - Im new ! Well, to this thread. Used to have Survivor talk ar work every morning over coffee. Been disabled for 3 years and really miss it. OK I'll be quiet bout me - this is about Survivor !
Can you guys believe Russell ?? What a hoot and a jerk. Only thing I really didnt like and hurt my heart was the whole Katrina and his dog thing - HARSH !.
Shambo looks to be entertaining and the small young, cute, african american woman - shes got spunk ! I think.
Hey what about the jerk that was mean to Marissa (is that who got kicked off ?) anyhoo - looks like he may be the one that gets kicked out of challenge next week. I hope so I didnt like him.
Yahoo ! I and my DH cant believe its here. SURVIVOR - SUVIVOR- SURVIVOR !!
-
At least Johnny Fairplay was fun to watch. Evil Russell reminds me of that used car salesman and soft porn star Brian Heidik - the one who won Survivor Thailand----totally unsavory character that was later arrested for shooting a puppy with a bow and arrow..........
-
I am a tape it and watch it later gal, just watched last night. Love being able to fast forward through commercials!
Jaybird, that should have been "money can't buy you clASS" That Russell is a clASS act. He is EVIL, not even worth keeping on the show to see what he conjures up next. But he would be a good one to go up against for the million. Who in their right mind would vote to give it to him. He is a jerk......PERIOD.
Seyla, it will take me probably half way through the season before I will remember names!
Don't have a favorite yet, too early.
Junie, I missed the preview. My tv is set to record all Survivor episodes. It missed that. I like watching those previews. So you can learn a little about the cast. Last year Sugar hosted it, who hosted this one?
Until next week......
Lori
-
Lori--the preview was hosted by Tas(z?), the really cool black woman married to a football hall of famer from last season's show.
Have to record second show as we'll be out of town. It will drive me nuts until I get a chance to watch it!! DH thinks I'm nuts about my interest in this show, but he sure gets right into it with me and won't miss an episode. Maybe I'll order him survivor "buffs" for his upcoming birthday--wouldn't that be a hoot.
-
Russel is a jerk and thinks he runs the show, he is also gross in those underwear. I like Shambo so far but too early to make judgements too fast except for the jerk
-
CONGRATULATIONS TO JEFF PROBST FOR WINNING THE EMMY'S
SHEILA
-
I LOVE Survivor, and I just found this thread-count me in.
I can't stand Russell, but I wonder how much of what he is saying is truth or not.
Reminds me of that guy from last season, what was his name, the marshal arts guy, who was kidnapped on the Amazon.
Looks like another good season.
